Best spa experience ever! Front desk were very friendly and polite especially Heavon, Bruk and Tyler. I was greeted with champagne and promptly checked in. Gloria my massage therapist heard everything I requested and delivered a phenomenal massage. I will define be attending their new wine down Wednesday and join their membership. The steam room is outstanding and just the right amount of heat and steam. I feel so relaxed and genuinely grateful to be feeling so much better. Thank you so much, I so appreciate the attention and your time. If you’ve never been you must go, I highly recommend it!

I’ve had multiple massages here (my husband buys them) and I keep hoping brown palace will finally put some effort in . People go to the spa for the experience and that’s what needs to be improved. The people working there are WONDERFUL. But they are working with awful facilities for the price/location. The waiting room is tiny and leaves much to be desired. There is pretty much no amenities- a single steam shower and that’s the spa .

No thank you. Never again.

The hotel here is incredible but the spa leaves a lot to be desired. We had a very poor experience in all aspects, and I would certainly not recommend this spa.

I loved staying at the Brown it was a magnificent way to spend a birthday

Feb 05, 2024

Dated and rundown. Lockers don’t work. Only amenity is a steam room. Pedicure chairs don’t massage bc they’re all broken. Nail specialist seems rushed even though I’m on time. Other woman working here will not stop talking loudly, so make sure to bring your AirPods! Does not have newest polish colors and only OPI. Hoping massage experience is better.

Extraordinarily mediocre. I went in for a 50 min facial thinking it would be a lovely escape after work. I made an assumption that the spa would rise to the same standard that the hotel does with its quality and customer service. Having hosted multiple large events at the Brown, knowing the quality is always superb; I made an assumption that the services at the spa would rise to the same standard. They did not. The service was simply ok. I left with scrub still in my hair line and a feeling like I paid a ridiculous amount of money for a single face mask I could have gotten at Walgreens. This is not a day spa I would recommend.

For the price it was just okay. The massage I could have given myself. She used the same terrible motion over and over. I wanted to leave early. The pedicure polish was thin, the massage was terrible. Overall everything was blah and a waste of money.

I wish I would’ve read the reviews prior to wasting my money here. My daughter and I went here and got the signature massages, facials and pedicures. The massages and facials were fine but nothing to write home about. The pedicures were awful. They had no hot water available due to construction that was going on. They had to make warm water with an electric tea kettle and add it to the tubs. No massage chairs, no liners used in the tubs, limited colors to choose from, short leg/foot massage, and just VERY basic pedicures. For $70 each, I was super disappointed in the pedicure service. We could’ve gone pretty much anywhere else and received a better pedicure service for that price. Additionally, their ladies lounge was closed due to construction, which I didn’t find out until two days prior to our appointment. While we were at the spa, there was a lot of loud hammering and banging on the walls. It was an unpleasant experience and a huge disappointment, as this was supposed to be a gift for my daughter’s 16th birthday. The spa overall is outdated. I was surprised that no one warned us ahead of time that we would hear the construction going on and at least let us make the decision whether to cancel our appointments. I expected a lot more from the Spa at The Brown Palace, especially considering we paid over $800. Follow up review: The manager kindly reached out to me shortly after posting my initial review online. He offered to give us a partial refund of $405. Although our experience at the spa was not ideal, the manager rectified the situation in a timely manner and provided excellent customer service. I definitely wasn’t expecting anyone to reach out to us, let alone give us a partial refund. It was greatly appreciated.

I'll start with my massage was great. My technician gave exactly what I asked for. No complaints on the massage it self. Also the employees at the front were very friendly and offered champagne when I arrived, which was a nice touch. The facility though was very disappointing. Very outdated. Dark and dingy. There was only one towel left when going into the steam room. Only one shower. There were two other people needing to shower ahead of me, so I left without showering. A giant roll of paper towels just sitting on the sink that you had to roll off and tear?? No tissues by the main sink. Not really anywhere to just sit and relax. If you are coming only for a massage, then its fine. But if you are coming for an elevated spa experience (which is what the price you are paying would infer) I would not recommend.

Love the Brown Palace! Got a massage here, the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend visiting for your spa needs.

My daughter and I went to the spa to celebrate her birthday with signature massages and facials. While the treatments were very nice, the spa itself is terrible and the prices are ridiculous. The facilities are extremely dated and have no amenities - no pool, gym, whirlpool, sauna. It does have a small steam room. Just one changing room and a very small, in relaxing waiting area. Our bill was more than $950 for 2 50-minute massages and 2 50-minute facials. Ridiculous. Don’t waste your money here. Go to the Four Seasons. Update: I shared my experience with Marriott, and the spa staff reached out to me, apologized for the situation and refunded 50% of my bill. I am pleased with their prompt concern, response, and resolution.

Feb 05, 2024

Not worth the money. I get it - The Brown Palace - it should be good - right? The facilities were horrible - paint chips, lack of amenities, outdated furniture and so much more. They should be embarrassed by what they are offering. Don’t waste your time. ** Update: I called Marriott and the Spa made it right by offering us 50% back of what we paid. While this is a temporary solution, it certainly doesn’t address the changes and fixes that need to occur. This is not a reflection on the staff but rather a reflection on the brand. As owners - fix it up and stop wasting time. Thank you again!

This place was not great at all. Went in for a couples massage for my birthday and paid 400 plus dollars when asked what area to focus on I mentioned my lower back, neck, and shoulders. Not to mention this was also a deep tissue massage. I told the masseuse to please go hard on me. When working on my body all she did was put oil on me and barely touched or applied pressure to me. I wouldn't waste any time or money on this place. Honestly your better off going to kiosk at the mall.

What a great place to stay. My wife and I stayed here on our anniversary. Christmas decorations were classic and beautiful. Our room was at the top of the palace. We ordered room service, ate a dinner and breakfast in the restaurants. It was delicious. Would recommend this place. The staff were top notch.

Beautiful historic hotel, just needs a pool

Best spa experience I've had in the Midwest! Cozy locker rooms, champagne or tea upon arrival and the best therapists I've had. I've had neck issues since a young child and this is one of the only places that really brings relief. Plus, they have showers in the therapy rooms for quick rinse during body treatments and huge private walk in showers in the locker room, complete with bench and chair!

Don't waste your money here. They were very late starting my massage because they had forgotten to tell the masseuse to come in for the appointment. Another masseuse took over, though I was later told I was originally booked with the best masseuse that I missed out on. I was also told that the cbd lotion that I upgraded my package to didn't work on a lot of people. I didn't notice any difference. I confirmed on the phone the upgrade would be $15, but was charged almost $30. Get your confirmations in writing, People. The spa refused to refund the difference, but after three emails and a call they offered a 20% discount on my next treatment. I don't live in town, one, and two, would not go back. My pedicure lasted precisely 5 days. The ends of my fingers and toes were not painted, I noticed later, and no top coat was used. They chipped and my toes are rougher than they have been in a year. At these prices, one would expect the best. The whole experience was subpar. Lockers weren't open, so I had to carry my clothes and shoes from treatment to treatment. No alternative was offered. Just very unprofessional all around.

I booked a mother's day spa package back in February I wanted my hair my nails my toes and a massage I was specific in what wanted and was prepared to pay to be pampered even planned on tipping a 100 bucks when I got there it started out fine then I was told they don't do full sets ok no problem I'll just get a pedicure then the hair person came and we discussed what i wanted and she said she didn't have time 😕 after I got my toes done I just wanted to leave because the whole point of planning and paying that much was to get the whole package I definitely won't go back not to mention im almost 7 months pregnant and was looking forward to this day for 5 months ill spend my hard earned money somewhere else sad I had planned to spend 💰💰💰💳💳💳 because I wanted my one day that I had a baby sitter for my 3 other kids to be a wonderful relaxing experience and to leave feeling beautiful and rejuvenated instead I left feeling like somehow my time or money was not valued how did they not have enough time for my hair when I booked 5 months in advance......thanks for the red toes .....could of done that my self at home 🥺😭😤

I really should have read reviews for this spa prior to booking services. In our first trip together in over 3 years sans kids, my wife and I decided to go up to Denver for a little r&r. We thought what better way to relax than to incorporate a couple's massage into our trip. We researched and thought we had found a true luxury gem. Sadly, it turned out to be cubic zirconium. We booked a couples massage for 7/24 @ 6 pm. We were contacted by the spa a little after 2 pm the day of appointment, to inform us one of the masseuse had fallen ill and was not able to make it (hope masseuse makes a full recovery). I thought no problem as we did not request anyone specific and would just have a new masseuse when we arrived. Unfortunately, after speaking with the spa manager (Tyler) I was informed they would only have 1 masseuse available for what was suppose to be a reserved couples massage. Neither my partner or I was wanting to enjoy the r&r without the other, so I inquired if they had any couple services available or a slightly later appointment. Tyler replied 1 massage was all they were going to be able to offer. With no real suitable alternative offered we had no choice but to cancel. Now let's just hope they are halfway decent at processing refunds as they are at cancelling at the last minute.

I went for a spa package. My masseuse was rushed and seemed upset when I declined to be up sold on additional services. My facial seemed great but realized several hours later that the skin on my neck had been abraided and was really sore. My pedicure was very meh. The locker room was a mess and out of basics like toilet paper. The front desk staff was rude. Overall would spend my money another place.

Feb 05, 2023

I wish I read the reviews before booking. Don’t waste your time and money here. Very underwhelming experience. Hidden fees and no cancellation whatsoever once you make your booking. My friend was asked if she would like some “lotion” with her massage to which she agreed, not knowing it would be an extra $40. You can tell the staff is miserable working there, the ambiance is pathetic and definitely not 5 stars. If you’re looking for a relaxing experience I would suggest you try the four seasons instead. Never again

We checked into our hotel and went up to our room, we were there for about an hour when the power went out, we called the front desk to have them come fix the outage. We were the only outage at the time. The front desk said someone would be right up. Nobody came. Finally at 11:00pm we called again, and nobody knew what we were talking about. So, we wasted our entire night we needed to prepare for our wedding. They moved us in the middle of the night to another room. Our wedding was the next day so you can imagine how many items needed to be moved down the hall. I spoke to a manger who said they would talk to the owner and give me a call the next day. I never received a call from a manager or any other member of the staff. Additionally, I had booked the spa package. The spa package included a $125 credit to the spa. I booked this as it was our wedding day. They charged me for the whole treatment and I never received a credit. I have yet to receive a phone call from anyone and I have sent several emails to accounts payable and the hotel. They have not refunded me a penny but offered points. I do not believe I will be staying at this hotel chain again so those are useless. Very poorly ran hotel with almost zero communication. I would recommend staying elsewhere - especially for special occasions.

I had great experience with Christy who gave me a relaxing massage and an amazing facial. I was alittle dissapointed in my pedicure. The room was empty and cold. I did not feel i got the best pedicure. The session was fast and i did not get the relaxing foot massage i was hoping for. For the money my kids paid i wish i had gotten a better FULL service experience.

Feb 05, 2022

The staff that provided the services I had at the spa are all good and friendly. There was a little confusion about the add-ons. My only complaint would be that I feel the prices are a little higher than other places. Then the add-ons are a bit costly.

Very disappointed in atmosphere, cleanliness as well as service on arrival. Scheduled spa package for three people in December. No one at the front check in desk when we arrived, but two girls did appear w/ in 10 mins. We were told to "just go downstairs". There was no direction as to what to do, locker, robe sizing, no slippers. We eventually found what we needed and asked for slippers which they brought (sizes too large). We were then rushed through our massages, told to take robes off and go upstairs for nail treatment. All spa amenities were closed due to COVID, which is understandable. The nail techs were kind and very good at their jobs. The salon itself is run down w/ warn out leather seating and carpet. Nail area presents as dirty/dingy. Girls at check out desk seemed disinterested and on their phones but succeeded in checking us out in a timely fashion. Just not what I expected from a spa at a luxury hotel. We also decided later that evening to have a drink at the bar and while there was no seating available inside the bar we sat just outside in a cozy seating area near the escalator. I cleared a table that was covered w/ used glasses and food that looked to have been there awhile. As we sat we witnessed the overflow of a toilet in the women's bathroom, the use of a plunger that was dripping across the carpet after use, women walking through the muck of the bathroom, no signage put up. The bathroom smelled like urine, no hand-soap or paper towels. Again, the hotel seemed dirty and in need of a good cleaning.
