I was so nervous as a first time client, having been religious to my previous hairdresser for a long time. But Ashley greeted me by my name and explained everything to me that we would be doing to my hair over my appointment. I was with her for over 5 hours and felt comfortable and informed the whole time. She spent a long time explaining what was best for my hair texture after such an intense highlighting session, which I am very grateful for. She perfected the results and I am so so happy. Thank you!!

I’ve been getting my hair done by Ashley since mid 2023. I love the way Ashley cuts my wavy/curly hair and her blow outs are the best I’ve ever had! I really appreciate the expertise and education on how to reach my hair goals. The space is super clean, cozy, and welcoming. The stylists are so friendly. There’s also snacks and drinks available while you’re getting your service done which is always a nice treat. I ❤️ The Study!

A very short and beautiful woman with black hair gave me a haircut. I asked her if she wanted to go out for sour burgers (burgers with sour on top) and she said no. It was awesome 5 stars

Kiersten is THE BEST! She’s been my hairstylist since 2020. She really understands the vision I want for my hair and I walk out looking and feeling amazing each time. She’s also super sweet and we always have great conversations! I highly recommend Kiersten!

Love, love, love The Study. From their salon set up, to their products, to their stylists, everything is first rate. I found this retreat when I was searching for a place that uses Kevin Murphy products (the only product that revived my hair after 21 years of pulling it back into a bun all day). I could not recommend this place more to anyone. Love it and I love my monthly appointments. I get my self care in a sweet setting with good people. Any stylist can take care of you. Mine is Sabrina and I love her! Enjoy!

This is my second time going to Sabrina, love her and the store vibes! First time I got a haircut, turned out so good. Then this time I went to get my hair dyed. I’ve always been worried about my hair dye not going well because I have dark hair, but the purple came out super gorgeous. Love it here!

I found the study after having a traumatic experience with another Tampa salon. I had gotten extensions for my wedding and I knew that something was wrong. I found The Study, and Ashley, and as she removed my extensions (put in by another salon), most of my hair came out with them. It was horrifying. Ashley and Stephen were so caring. During the last two years, Ashley has helped me not only grow out my hair, but successfully have extensions while doing it. Their methods at The Study for extensions are extremely safe and do not cause a lot of shed. They take this very seriously and I cannot express just how much I appreciate them and the work that they do.

I transitioned to The Study with Stephen when he and Ashley opened the salon. I love the vibe here. The stylists are all so talented. Stephen and Ashley have been very intentional in their creation of a welcoming, cozy, eclectic space. I get compliments on my hair all the time. I'm always happy to tell people where I get my hair done. I love The Study!

This place is an absolute gem. From the moment you step in, you can tell this isn’t just another run-of-the-mill hair salon. The space is super cool, with a cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home. There’s always something fun on the playlist, plenty of snack and drink options available, which is a nice touch— especially when you’re spending a few hours there. Stephen has been doing my hair for over a decade; he’s incredibly attentive to what you want and really takes the time to understand your vision for your hair. But he’s just as focused on keeping your hair healthy as he is on making it look amazing.
