I called for an appointment and they were rude, screamed at me and started making really weird and obscene noises. Then they hung up on me. Like I'm ok with people feeling the need to be eccentric but do you have to scream at me?

called to schedule an appointment and when the phone was answered, i was met with giggling and muffled noises. she talked to me for a second then cut me off and appeared to be talking to someone else. she kept giggling and then i was hung up on. oh well, scheduled elsewhere but weird 🤷‍♀️

Great shop! Lexi is amazing, they have been cutting my hair for years and have always done a stellar job. I moved to Georgia almost a year ago and have literally waited months just to get my hair cut by Lexi the next time I was in town. Highly recommend.

I came to Lexi at Twisted Scissor to get some hidden rainbow hair and she was absolutely phenomenal, she did a really good job and really understood what I wanted to get. And I most appreciate that she was very accommodating of my crazy schedule. 10/10 recommend and I hope to be back to her in the future!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this salon! I will never go any where else! the quality of work speaks for it's self but the atmosphere just takes it to the next level. It is like I am catching up with friends every time I go in. I started going in Nov of 2019 and over the last 3 months, Darien has done wonders with my hair! I had gone to a different salon that ended up making my hair break and fall off. She took me in with no hesitation! After a few treatments and following all advice and instructions from Chris, Tammy and Darien, my hair is AMAZING! With their help, I was about to get life back into my hair, I can brush it without hair falling out, my ends are breaking off and my hair is the color I originally asked for before seeking their help. These 3 are just plain and simply amazing and worth every penny.

If you are looking for an awesome salon that cares about their clients, you've found it! I've been to many salons over the years and this will be the one that does my funeral hair, like for real lol... staff is AMAZING, and it's always so much fun and something new everytime!

After almost a year of no hair cut and a mountain of split ends and one eyebrow that was completely mismatched to the other Darien hooked it up. She was super sweet and spoke with me without forcing me into conversation. (I’m not a super chatty person) She did an incredible job with my hair, taking her time and making the end result exactly what I wanted when I wasn’t even sure of what I wanted. The atmosphere is very voodoo New Orleans which I adore. The owner Chris greeted me with pleasantries and gave me a tour of the salon, and Tammy gave me great advice for some products to purchase when traveling to avoid harsh effects on my hair. I am a flight attendant and am rarely in the same place twice but I would specifically come back to Lexington to get my hair done here again! Also the music was perfect!

If you’re looking for a top experience in a relaxed, laid back, magical, quirky, spooky in the best way experience you MUST make your way to this little gem. Not only are the stylists Ahhhhmazing at what they do, they also make sure that we as customers feel important and valued. A real part of the Twisted family! Everyone in my family goes here. We can’t say enough great things! Cassie just gave my daughter the EXACT cut that she wanted even though we had a hard time explaining it. Hahaha We truly look forward to our visits every few weeks to catch up and get polished up! Thanks as always Cassie and all the team at Twisted Scissor!

Tammy did an amazing job on my stepdaughters hair. Here's her review... "My hair went from past shoulder length to an above the ears rocker style. I'd though I would go a super dark blue all over, but she suggested a few dashes of a lighter blue for depth, and that was a really good suggestion! I love the color! She took her time with the cut, so the cut does almost all the work of the style. And she even gave a bunch of tips that I feel like I can really use at home." For my part of the review... Tammy did great working with my stepdaughter (14.) Talking to her like a person, interacting on the right levels... giving guidance on her hair and styling and doing so in a way that she was able to understand. My stepdaughter was thrilled, I was thrilled. And the style is super-quick and easy for the mornings, but has a lot of versatility. I can't say enough good things about Tammy. The salon itself is a super fun quirky place, in an easy-to-find location. It isn't large, and has all the best parts of a larger salon without the sleek coldness and product pushing. (They've always been open to suggesting product, but aren't overly pushy the way some salons can be.) The owner, Christopher McKnight, is a force unto himself--in all the best ways. The salon reflects his personality and sheer work ethic, and is a great testament to both.
