Brooklyn was my waxer and she did an EXCELLENT job on all of my waxing services (full legs, under arms, and brazilian). I joked and said I felt 10lbs lighter after the waxing! 😉 She is very professional and kind. Asks about the temperature of the wax BEFORE applying and makes you feel comfortable. I've gone through a few waxers because of relocating afew times, but very happy to have found Wax Spa. I've been getting waxed for 11yrs. so my tolerance is used to the process. Everyone's pain tolerance is different and there will be discomfort for some or very little for others. Thank you Regina (owner) for booking me with Brooklyn. I will be back and I DO highly recommend! ✨✨✨✨✨

I had the best experience I've ever had getting waxed! She's fantastic at making this a pain free experience. She was super concerned about reducing my pain and she removed all my ingrown hairs. It seriously felt like an hour at the spa! I will be going here from now on, even if it is an hour from home.

I rate this spa a 10 stars if I could. Regina is Amazing, she totally has the gift of gab ( the lady is a psychic like a real one and didn’t charge me for the reading she did for me, it was really therapeutic to be honest. I never thought getting my back waxed would be so easy & painless , especially compared to my last experience that took for ever at the urban place in town. I will be back for sure. I like the location too, has a good vibe !

I’m kind of picky and private about who waxes me below the belt and this lady knows her craft. Love this location, the downstairs is private and no one knows where i am heading. Very down to earth and efficient no fuss no muss ! Will definitely be back to see Regina!

Worst wax experience of my life. Incredibly unprofessional. Mildly traumatizing. The waxer spoke to me on behalf of my deceased mother and pulled out her phone during the service.

I visited Regina the other day and had an absolute fantastic first experience. She has a wicked sense of humor and has you laughing within seconds of meeting her, totally put me at ease. Regina is also a psychic and did a reading while I was there- it was the last thing I was expecting when I walked into the salon but I had an amazing conversation and really felt that this was someone that was gifted with connecting with people. I’m looking forward to seeing her again and spending time with such an infectious positive human being

Regina is amazing at what she does and sure knows how to make you laugh while doing it! She has a wonderful sense of humor, which is something I appreciate greatly during an experience that, by nature, can be very awkward and uncomfortable (brazilian waxes, anyone?). I've visited her twice now and have received excellent, fast, comfortable service both times. I recommend her wholeheartedly and I personally plan on booking with her for all my future wax needs!

Had a great first waxing/horoscope reading experience here. The lady set a tone for a very LGBT-friendly environment, and the whole waxing process was over with faster than I thought. She also did more and charged less than what I expected. 10/10, will be frequenting and would recommend to a friend.

WOW! Not your typical wax! Efficient is not a good enough descriptor for how fast and comfortable this wax was. Regina is a dream; SO funny and indulged me on all my conversation topics. The only time I have left a wax without being totally red or irritated. This has definitely become my go to spot!

Had a great massage at TheWax SkinSpa, the atmosphere is geared towards men and they make you feel comfortable when you walk in the door. Not pretentious or just a chick spot. DEFINITELY going back.

So I have gotten a "wool sweater" wax from several places over the years. This place has been the fastest and most painless place out of all the spas I've been to, even though I'm pretty sure she enjoys inflicting the pain from her profession lol. This is definitely the place I will go to the next time I get a wax done. AWESOME PLACE LADYS!!!

The Wax Skin Spa is the best wax experience in Portland. As a Black woman, it's been difficult to find waxers that have the training to wax my hair without damaging my skin. Regina, has the confidence, training, and expertise to excellently wax women of color. My appointments are minimally painful (I'm a waxing wimp) and Regina gets the hair removed efficiently and smoothly. The shop has tons of cool skin products too. It smells good; it's clean and has a calming atmosphere. Regina is kind and makes me feel welcome! Stop playin' and go get taken care of at the Wax Skin Spa.

AMAZING! (As always) The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Getting waxed can be a scary experience no matter how long you've been doing it. Regina and her staff make you feel like you are a long time friend whether it's your first time or you've been going there for ages. All the while keeping everything very professional. Love it here. Defiantly my only one stop shop!

I LOVE the Wax Skin Spa! From the ambiance to the staff, everything is pure perfection. When you walk in you're greeted by a welcoming face and the aroma of fresh flowers. The owner has taken the extra time to ensure each visit is inviting and warm. The Wax Skin Spa is the only place I trust completely. I have been to places that have caused horrific allergic reactions to products they use and the high quality products that the Wax Skin Spa uses has never triggered any of these! I went in for the "Jeeves get the weed wacker" or aka, a brazilian wax. I consider myself a waxing connoisseur, having lived in Florida where there was a wax shop in every plaza, I quickly found myself able to see the value in a great shop. The Wax on Alberta is definitely my go to stop now. Regina was just delightful. I found myself forgetting I was getting waxed and was just having a conversation with a friend with my legs spread wide eagle. She took her time and meticulously observed and plucked my lady bits like it was her mission. Regina's attitude clearly reflects that she cares and loves her job. I highly recommend using her for waxing services. All in all, I highly recommend The Wax!

Wonderful experience. Reasonable pricing. Comfortable setting. I think her name was Regina....she got deep into my pores and worked it out. Definitely going back... Flexible hours and totally professional. Highly recommend. Loved it!!!!!!
