Been waxing for over two decades…I’m new to the area and was on the hunt for a new wax guru. I stumbled upon The Wax Spa in my googlé search for best local waxers. After reading reviews, I decided to book. The online booking process is straightforward and seamless. Kay, the owner, absolutely SLAYS in the wax game!!! Can’t recommend her enough! Professional, efficient, thorough.. and will have you laughing the whole time!

Best waxing experience I have ever had. Kay literally has the magic touch because out of all my waxes I’ve gotten, I have experienced the least pain with her. I’m also pregnant and she is extremely nice and attentive. Also she gets all hair and also spends time doing some ingrown hairs.

I’ve only been getting bikini and underarm for waxes for about 6 months now because I’ve used razors for the past 40+ years. I’ll NEVER go back to using a razor. Kay has been the best at making me comfortable getting waxed in my private areas. Very personal and comfortable environment.

Kay, the owner and operator of this business, is a truly remarkable human being who deserves your business solely for the beautiful heart and genuine soul that she has. On top of her radiance she is also fantastic at what she does! I’ve had many mediocre and bad experiences trying to find estheticians to do eyebrow waxes in the past since we relocate fairly often with military life. Kay is truly a gem and godsend. She walks you through everything - from shaping, to requests, to concerns, even down to the type of wax she uses. She is more than willing to answer question, and she never makes you feel stupid for asking questions, even if if you think they are silly. She is helpful, sincere, and all around a phenomenal person, esthetician, and business owner.

I called last minute and only had a certain amount of time before needing to go to an appointment (I made it to my next appointment no issues) and she got my daughter in, she was very professional, communicated very well, very respectful, sweet and just so amazing!!! Kay is AMAZING! I've never been so comfortable getting waxed before. Each time I go, the hair removal gets easier. This is my 3rd visit and there was no pain. The spa is clean and located in a safe area.

Kay runs a customer focused, relaxing, and professional spa center. I've had multiple waxes at the larger chain centers, but often times its incredibly impersonal and feels like you're at the doctor's office. The Wax Spa instantly makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Waxing can be a painful and uncomfortable experience and Kay made sure to talk through every step and provide me with aftercare as well. If you're looking for an excellent wax for any occasion, definitely book here with Kay!

Professional, clean, friendly!! My first wax and I was scared. Not to mention I'm a bigger girl. I felt comfortable and she is amazing at her job. The Wax Spa in Newport News is AMAZING!! Here’s my top 4 favorite things about the experience: 4. The shop is aesthetically pleasing; clean, stylish, and simple. 3. The lovely lady who waxes you is kind, personable, has an awesome personality and does everything to make the experience pleasant (explains the process throughout so there are no surprises, asks for feedback before finishing to see if there’s anything you’d like cleaned up, etc.) 2. I will be honest, it’s wax and it hurts, but it is quick, easy, and very temporary. Her technique minimizes the pain/discomfort so you don’t feel like you need to walk around with an ice pack between your legs afterwards. She makes the experience as comfortable as possible 1. She’s efficient, and it does not take long at all ***Bonus: Her prices are not bad at all (and I’m a grad student…so yeaaa lol), especially since you’re getting such quality service. All in all, go check out The Wax Spa!! 😁
