It’s a lovely, quirky place where everyone is so nice and helpful. Love Philip Todd! I have tons of very fine hair. He makes my hair work on my head. No cowlicks or funkiness. He is amazing.

I’ve had 3 hairstylists and been to a few salons in Seattle and this is by far the best and my favorite one! I had a scalp treatment with Psalm and a facial with Megan and both experiences were very pleasant, accommodating, and thoughtful. I’m sure that all of the staff are just as great as them. The front desk staff was also welcoming and warm. I’m looking forward to booking future appointments with them!

Love Psalm. She is most skilled at haircuts that I've had in ages. She took me from brown dyed to grey, a laborious process, with awesome results. The WS Salon is a friendly place with all providers stepping up to help customers and each other.

From the first moment I walked in I was so enamored in the best way. The atmosphere in general, but especially now that it’s decorated for the holidays, is so wonderful! This is the first salon I went to where they asked for my coat, I felt so fancy omg! first pic is where it all began, it was a sunset ombré and i did love it, but then i got bored so i went to see my stepmom (she has a salon like 2 hours away from me) and we bleached my hair. i knew the first bleach wasn’t going to get everything, my hair definitely looked patchy and and dry. i did my regular routine of washing and deep conditioning and all was well. after a little over a month i decided that i didn’t like the faded pinks and the purple (which turned blue in some areas), so i went to a salon closer than my stepmoms but still a little out of the way for me, via recommendation. i thought everything was going smoothly, my hair looked fine for the first two days. then i washed it and decided to comb out some tangles…. which is where hair started falling out! definitely not something i was used to seeing. so i went to google and bought all these hair masks and deep conditioners and nothing was really working. in desperation i googled salons close to me in west seattle, and found this lovely place. the website was super easy to navigate and i dove into the research and scheduled the first consultation as soon as possible. at the consultation it was decided that my hair was a disaster (which i knew just from looking at it), and i took home some medicated shampoo and conditioner, and a hair mask. i’m still on the regimen Shane recommended and after the first use i saw vast improvement! today i had my first actual appointment of many, and it was wonderful to say the least. Shane answered all of my questions and was a joy to talk to, as is the whole staff!! the ambiance and aura of the salon is truly amazing, it’s like a little slice of heaven in a wonderful neighborhood! i don’t have many selfies of me during the period where my hair was super damaged (for obvious reasons) but i included a few as before photos for reference. the after photo is just the start of the journey to where i want to be, but leaving the salon with more natural and healthy looking hair was the best feeling ever! and the haircut is everything to me, for the first time in my life someone actually cut the bangs the way i’ve always envisioned (and finally finding a reference photo was helpful lol) i also got my brows tinted by the lovely Sean, they look so amazing and it actually looks like i have eyebrows behind my glasses now!! i truly cannot wait for my next appointment with Shane to continue this hair journey, and Sean to help with skincare! i am recommending this salon to literally everyone i know, services and amazing skills aside, the welcoming atmosphere of it all is enough!! for all of the services they offer and the end results the prices are more than reasonable, and they have a rewards system which is super cool!! if you’re looking for a new salon, look no further than here!!

I have been going to the West Seattle Salon for about a year and have been thoroughly impressed by my entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. Jaimei offered expert advice on the best styles for my hair type. I was making a drastic change by cutting off around 8 inches and was nervous about finding a style that would fit, but I left with a look that exceeded my expectations and that I love. Another thing I love about the salon, are the top tier products they used. My hair felt healthier and looked more vibrant than ever so I appreciate that they prioritize quality and ensure their clients are using the best products available without feeling pressured to buy. For daily use, I use the Oi shampoo and conditioner which I love. To keep my grey hair looking vibrant I use the Alchemic shampoo and conditioner every couple of weeks. These products leave my hair looking and feeling healthier than it ever has before. I look forward to each appointment because I know I will leave feeling and looking fabulous. I highly recommend the a Wonderful est Seattle Salon for anyone looking to elevate their hair game.

It’s lucky to have good options for cutting and coloring my hair in West Seattle but I’ve found the West Seattle Salon to be uniquely great. The environment, in a beautiful craftsman house, is welcoming and stylish. It’s clear that someone w keen attention to detail has been thoughtful about the customer experience. Even the standard shampoo station is far from standard - I nearly fell asleep on my most recent visit as my hair processed a moisturizing treatment while I lay on a cushy pad, covered w a weighted blanket, and my eyes covered. Scheduling is accommodating and straightforward, which is nice. All the staff I’ve encountered are friendly, experienced pros having thorough consults w their clients. And most importantly, after being at a busy downtown salon for over ten years, I’m glad I made the change for how my hair is getting a much-needed reboot! All the thumbs up, all the stars, I definitely recommend.

I’ve been seeing Jaimei at The West Seattle Salon every 4-6 weeks for the past 6 months, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the experience. Jaimei consistently delivers a flawless rich black color and a stunning cut with layers and curtain bangs that has truly transformed my longer hairstyle. Her skills and technique are unmatched! Beyond her styling, Jaimei’s shampooing technique is superb (I escape to la la land every time - you know what I’m talking about!) The salon’s unique shampoo bowl setup, where you lie flat on your back, ensures a comfortable experience with minimal neck strain. The tranquility of the shampoo room adds a spa-like feel to every visit, and the new mini facial treatments while conditioning are a wonderful touch. Jaimei and The West Seattle Salon offer an incredible spa experience that goes above and beyond typical salon services. Highly recommended!
