After getting my hair absolutely butchered at another salon (bad bleach job), Keela was able to get me in quickly and fix it - which am so so grateful for. A handful of weeks later I was back at the salon for a haircut by Alyssa, and she gave me the best haircut I’ve literally ever had. No one has been able to fully understand and then fulfill what I was asking for up until her. I will 100% be back, and will only go here from now on.

Alyssa knows EXACTLY what she is doing!!! A hairstylist has never understood my vision like she did, and I walked out with my favorite haircut I’ve ever had. I posted an INSTAGRAM MIRROR SELFIE TODAY!! Who am I??? I am beyond obsessed, and I already have ideas for my next cut with her!

I have been with Chynna, Alyssa, and most recently Jordan. All three of these people are wonderful at what they do, super responsive, and very considerate. Super cute vibe in the salon and I always trust them with my hair!

Update: I am updating my review due to a recent poor experience at this salon. When I went to make an appointment, the earliest available was 3 weeks out. Based on their online scheduling system, it appeared that they only had 2 stylists even available at any date to do a haircut. I assumed this was because they were really busy; however, when I arrived for my appointment at 5:45pm 3 weeks later, the parking lot as well as the salon were basically empty. My stylist asked what I was hoping to do today, and I explained that I loved how she cut it last time and just wanted to do that. She didn’t look at any notes and didn’t seem interested in any reference photos. When I get a $60 haircut, I assume a wash and blow dry will be included…. Instead, I had my dry, dirty, un-styled hair cut. I didn’t even know the stylist was done until she started taking my cape off… I genuinely loved this salon and used to recommend it. I don’t make a lot of money, so a haircut is a big expense for me; I truly believe even a simple haircut should be a luxurious, self care experience. However, this visit felt rushed, improvised, and a little sketchy. Due to the fact that they only seem to have two stylists on staff, I will be going elsewhere for my next cut.

I’ve been visiting Taylor and Emily at The Wild Side for 6 years. They always do amazing work, thoroughly listening to my hair concerns and wants. I still go back to Knoxville to get my hair done even though I live in a different state now. They’re that good!

First time here for a cut with Alyssa. I requested her to try and 'repair' a 'not so good' cut from another salon. I knew right away Alyssa had the talent for cutting short hair. End result is a bit shorter in the back than what I'm used to but she did tell me that before hand as it needs to 'even out a bit'. Hubby loved the cut - I will definitely go back; she 's awesome! p.s. great price too.

Awesome place, good vibes, and the people were very welcoming. Alyssa gave me a haircut and it's very clear that she cares about what she does and making her clients happy. Couldn't ask for better.

I have curly hair and haven't had a haircut I was pleased with in like...I dunno, a decade? I've honestly never had anyone take the time to listen to what I was hoping for and then (somewhat more importantly) be brave and creative enough to go for it! Emily did just that, and for the first time in memory, I left a salon pleased as punch! I really can't recommend Emily enough. 😻

Kat Lewis did an amazing job on my hair!! Not only is this salon in itself a cool place to get your hair done, Kat makes it a wonderful experience. She always knows exactly what I want and executes it perfectly every single time!! She is amazing at her job & is awesome to have a conversation with.

Kat Lewis did an amazing job with my curly hairstyle. She did an incredible shampoo and was so thoughtful and intentional while she styled and cut my hair. I highly recommend!

Kat Lewis is hands down the best stylist in Knoxville. You will always leave happy! She’s wonderful to talk to and perfect at taking whatever you have in mind for your hair and executing it. I usually do a full highlight and cut. She even saved my hair when I first met her from an at home blonde disaster! I cannot recommend her enough. Also, The Wild Side has a wonderful, friendly, and accepting atmosphere that makes you feel at home!

My first visit here was everything. I felt welcome and loved the vibe there. Its not corporate and stuffy - its professional and warm. Chynna was my stylist and she was amazing. She not only made my hair beautiful but made me feel beautiful. I love the vibrant green she did! 💚

Taylor and Jordan are amazing :) The atmosphere and vibe are spectacular and their work is even better. 12/10 would recommend. Even convinced my mom to go with me to get her hair cut, i have been cutting my mom’s hair for years and she was so anxious but it turned out lovely. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 p.s.a : do it, you won’t regret it. 💛 The bleached grown out vibe was the before and the fade is the after. ✨ Cenzy bleached my hair a couple months ago BEAUTIFULLY but it grew out and i had to get it redone. they’re all amazing. you can’t go wrong.
