My absolute favorite place to be sugared. I have been waxing/ sugaring for the last 5 years and have never been to anyone better. My skin is very sensitive and can be difficult to sugar, but Karen continues to impress me every session.

I started going to Karen right before she moved into her own space at The Willow. I'd been getting conventional waxing for a while but it was time for a change to sugaring. I still drive 25+ minutes to her since the move - I think that tells you how good the service is. She cares, is personable, and professional as she cares for your skin and I always look forward to my appointments. Highly recommend!

In my 10 years of getting sugared, Karen is the absolute best sugarer I’ve ever had. I’ve been going to her ever since I moved to San Diego 4 years ago and love her so much I’ve followed her to her new beautiful location, which is a bit of a drive but 1000% worth it. Most comfortable, safe experience and least pain and ingrowns everrr. Always detailed and so knowledgeable about skincare ✨

This was the best facial I’ve had! You can tell throughout the whole experience that Karen is passionate about educating her clients (and is knowledgeable herself), building a relationship with them and their skin, and creating an atmosphere that feels pampering and supportive, whether you come in with specific skin needs or just really need to take some time to fully relax. What really blew me away was how much was included in the facial. I enjoy getting them, but often feel it’s just someone else applying a few things that I could do at home, plus some massage, which is always great. But with this facial, she used so many different products and techniques, with clear explanation for what they were and what benefit they provided, that made me feel I was truly improving my skin, not just feeling relaxed, after only my first visit. And I have never looked so glowy and bright as I did at the end, even after a couple nights of very little sleep!

Karen has been my esthetician for a while now and she has done an amazing job at keeping my skin healthy! She’s also a sugaring pro and so good at her craft. I tell all of my friends they have to go to her because she really is the best! I also lover her space it’s very clean, comfortable and you feel right at home when you walk in.

Karen was phenomenal! I’ve been getting sugared for years and only ONE person other than Karen received five stars from me. My original sugarista moved cross country and it’s taken me forever to find anyone even close to her, but I finally found her. Karen was thorough and so kind. We just chatted the entire time. Her space was adorable, and extremely warm and sanitary. If you’ve been anxious about trying sugaring or looking for a new person, I really can’t recommend Karen enough!!! Happy Sugaring!

I have been seeing Karen for a few years now for sugaring and I can never see myself going to someone else! Getting a brazilian can be a nerve wracking experience but she is so knowledgeable, gentle & thorough with the whole process, and really cares about her clients well being. It’s hard to find someone so genuine in their work and I can’t recommend her enough!

I had my first appointment yesterday for a relaxation facial with Karen. I love her studio, it’s clean and welcoming. During my service I felt comfortable, attended, and was able to relax and really enjoy the experience. She uses products with clean ingredients. My skin feels great and hydrated and looks clear and healthy. I’ll be coming back. It’s the whole package.

A sugaring from Karen is a wonderful experience. Her technique is amazing. In all the years I have had sugaring/waxing treatments by multiple providers, treatments with Karen have been the most relaxed with the least anxiety or pain. I got the "Relax and Glow" facial from Karen and it was DEFINITELY relaxing and had my face glowing for daysss! Karen, the owner of The Willow Sugaring & Skin, was very friendly and explained every step of the facial which I appreciated. She asked me what my daily skincare routine was and advised alternatives based off of my current skin condition. She didn't pressure me to buy any of the products she had but provided me with general tips and knowledge on the type of products she was recommending. The Willow Sugaring & Skin is now my go-to facial spa! Can't wait to book my next facial with Karen! ps. the interior of the spa was cozy, clean and very aesthetically pleasing :)

I have been getting sugared by Karen for several years now. She is an expert when it comes to all things skin. For those nervous to try sugaring, Karen is your girl. She will help ease your way through the process - applying pressure after the hair is pulled as needed. One thing I have never seen anywhere else is the use of hot towels after the sugaring process. Karen applies a hot steamed towel and Furr oil on the areas sugared to gel the healing process started. It is a nice perk that most other places do not do. Not only is she a magician with sugaring, she is also very calm, friendly, and warm. You will feel like you have known her for many years. I always leave each session with smooth skin and a full heart from our discussions. I live 25 minutes away from her spot but her services are worth the drive!! I will always travel for people who love what they do and are good people. And she is one of those people. I highly recommend her!!

I've been going to Karen since when she worked at a different spa, and I followed her here once she decided to make the leap to start her own business. She's extremely knowledgeable in skin care and I swear she has magic hands. A lot of the facials I've gotten lack in the massage. I can do my skin care at home but the facial massage is why I go see a professional. However, the products she does use, are all natural and results driven. She specializes in lymphatic drainage and I hold so much tension in my jaw due to my TMJ and it's so nice to finally find relief. The vibe is so calming and earthy & you can tell Karen put so much thought and intention behind her space to bring a luxury experience to her clients. Thank you soooo much Karen!

The vibe inside is so chill and inviting. Karen is super friendly and knows her stuff when it comes to skincare. She uses only the best natural products that make your skin feel like a dream. If you’re looking for a new place to get waxed or a first timer I seriously recommend Karen! I had the pleasure of having my first sugaring appointment with her and she was amazing. She knows how to make you feel so comfortable during the whole appointment. Most waxes are uncomfortable/painful, but she gets it done fast and efficiently that you really don’t feel much. Her waxing skills are probably the best i’ve experienced!

I’ve been getting sugared and facials with Karen for a few years now and every time it’s an absolute treat. She’s very gentle and has great technique which makes getting sugared essentially painless. She is always thorough and takes her time with all the services she provides, which shows she not only loves what she does but cares about the customer’s satisfaction. Karen is also incredibly knowledgeable on skin and her facial massages are some of the best I’ve ever had. I truly can’t recommend her enough.

This facial was pure bliss. Karen is masterful in her knowledge of skin as well as her touch and massage. The difference in my skin before and after was remarkable. My eyes were tilted down before and after they were tilted up at the corners. I've never seen such drastic difference. The attention to detail here and experience was unlike anything I've had before.
