The beds r very comfortable the rooms are clean.i love the staff they r so friendly and eager to help u out.I’ll definitely come here again if i come to Seattle again.the location is great,beautiful views. I just plain enjoyed my whole vacation here.

Spent the weekend here with my mom, and overall, it was a truly lovely experience! We booked an executive suite with a view of Lake Washington but were initially placed in a room on the first floor so the view wasn’t as good as we had hoped. After we mentioned this, the staff graciously moved us to a room with a much better view (higher up). My mom later noticed online that the new room was listed at a lower rate, and when she inquired, they had already adjusted the price, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The 5-star rating is all about the incredible staff—they were absolutely wonderful! Every employee we encountered during our four-day stay went above and beyond to provide exceptional service, making us feel so welcome. The building itself is stunning, both inside and out, with beautiful decor and thoughtful touches. We especially appreciated the free filtered water stations and the nightly snack pantry from 10 PM to midnight, where you can help yourself to a variety of treats. It added a bit of fun and made the stay extra memorable! I have just two minor suggestions for improvement: 1. The room heater was quite loud, cycling on every 15 minutes and sounding a bit like an airplane taking off. As a light sleeper, I had trouble resting the first night. The second night, I turned it off to avoid being woken up, but the room got so chilly (down to 62°F) that I woke up freezing. 2. There’s a bell outside the hotel that chimes at 9 AM and 9 PM, striking nine times, and also rings hourly and on the half-hour. While charming, it could be a bit disruptive if you’re trying to sleep in past 9 AM. That said, the location is unbeatable—gorgeous views, convenient parking, and a clean, safe, and very walkable area. The setting is perfect for a relaxing getaway. As locals, this was a wonderful staycation, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. One tip: the nearby restaurants are just okay, so we’d recommend heading a mile north for better dining options. We had such a great time, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again for another staycation!

The Woodmark is an outstanding hotel in every way -- far outperforming the plethora of ridiculously overpriced and mediocre chain hotels in the area. The rooms are upscale, beautiful, fully-functional, and have gorgeous views across Lake Washington. Even better -- the rooms are very quiet. No slamming doors like in the chain hotels. No hearing people talking through the walls. Just peace and quiet. Also, from the very first moments when I arrived, the staff was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and make me feel welcome. ||I've stayed in more than a dozen hotels in the area, and there's no question I will return to the Woodmark.

High-end by the price, luxury with old buildings, while worth a vacation getaway by the lake, the hotel is kind of outdated style and design, low ceilings on all 4 floors, and only half side has an open lake view. A standard room may face to street and the corner suites has a dining, long/wide living room, one master bedroom, and 1.5 bathrooms (a big one with tub for the master bedroom and a half next to the main door). Only one side of the bed has a clock with USB charging port. Other than that, there is lack of power extension, no USB charging ports, not even on the office desk. Definitely not high-tech. Recommend to add more power/charging ports.

I stayed here with a few friends and loved the champagne at check-in! The Front Staff were so welcoming and the rooms were lovely!!!! I would rather stay at the Woodmark versus the big hotels in Seattle. Cant wait to come back!

My small family visited Woodmark Hotel Labor day weekend. We were treated like royalty! The staff was incredible! Each request we had during our trip was addressed and full filled immediately! The cleaning staff in particular was exceptional! The view was stunning. The list of positive things we experienced is very long and you will just need to experience this place for yourself!!

No power extension, no USB charging ports in the room. None on the bedside stand, neither on the office desk. Low ceiling, outdated style, old design, high price, and below-average service quality. The luxury is by the lake view (although only half side rooms), and due to lack of choices in the area, but definitely not its quality and value. --- Updated on Aug 15 with manager's response that there is USB type A port on one side of bed stand clock. The manager also indicated that there would be an upgrade to USB type C. Do recommend to add power extension and more USB charging ports at both sides of bed as well as near the office desk.

One of my favorite hotel experiences ever! Woodmark has a charm to it: you can't go wrong with the serene location by Lake Washington, the friendliest staff, the unexpected surprises like a complimentary kayak ride, and the late night 'raid the pantry' ritual. I always felt taken care of by the front desk - Ethan, their newest intern, and really the whole team are so pleasant and kind. I happened to be here during a very quiet week at the end of the summer too, and felt like I was tucked away in my own oasis away from the hustle & bustle of the city. It's also near the best main street with the loveliest eateries like 5 Stones, Thruline, the urban plaza and Isarn Thai. Finally, the area is so quiet and safe, near a school, and supervised with 24-hour security. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying all that Woodmark and the surrounding area have to offer. The value is incredible. I will definitely be back!

We arrived at the hotel and immediately were met with outstanding customer service. They even upgraded our room (not by much but much closer to the water but overlooking the courtyard) - thank you! The room was a bit small but very clean and comfortable. We turned the air conducting off and the lake breeze was a joy. The bathroom is a little bit dated but again, very clean. We had a dog and they gave him a bed, bowls and some treats - again, thank you. My only compliant really isn't really towards the staff but of one of the guest. My dog had to pee really badly and took a small wee wee in the street toward the end of the awning. An older gentleman hotel guest sitting on a bench along the hotel started yelling at me about how he's a guest and that it was "absolutely inappropriate to bring a dog to this hotel!" He proceeded to say, "take that rug rat to a Motel or pound where it belongs ..... blah blah, how I was ruining his stay!" He started to walk towards me as I ignored him and then proceeded to tell me to "not ignore him because he's a vet!" I also happen to be a 28 yr veteran with two Purple Hearts! He started to get into my face when I had to raise my voice to tell him "that if he didn't get out of my face, this wasn't going to be a pleasant day for him!" He called me a racist derogatory term and stormed off back into the hotel. It would've been nice if the staff said something or even acknowledged that it happened as there was no way they couldn't hear the commotion with the doors opening and closing with the guest - this happened under the awning. When I walked back in with my dog, his gentleman was at the counter talking with the staff. This grouch and the staff just looked at me as if I did something wrong! This is in no way indicative of the staff but it ruined our two day stay as i saw this gentlemen literally everywhere - where you could see him pointing at me while talking with his assumed wife at least three times. You can't help who comes to your hotel but you sure can give a word of encouragement. I'm sorry that my dog pee'd about 2 ounces in your driveway! We probably will never come back because if this experience but this doesn't take away from the fact it's a decent hotel with beautiful views. One recommendation - have some water and coffee in your lobby for hotel guest who arrive after a long drive.

We were returning from a trip to China and planned a stop-over in Seattle for a few days. Looking for a high-end hotel with luxury amenities, we found The Woodmark Hotel. Located directly on Lake Washington in a quite section of Kirkland. And, within minutes of downtown Kirkland. I describe our arrival as simple elegance. Exactly what we wanted and needed. Our room was well appointed with a wonderful view of the lake. Everything we were looking for and more. A little pampered. Very satisfied. Should you need a luxury hotel in the Seattle/Bellevue area, this is your destination.

Woodmark is the place to book if your looking for an 5 star experience for an affordable price. The staff is polite, punctual, and simple the best. My family was treated with the highest respect. My wife and I were able to enjoy great couples walks and dinning with out being far from our room and kids. Room service was fast, fresh, and tasty!!! Can't wait to visit again!

As others have stated the taxes and fees are exorbitant; $25 to self park, $25 resort fee, $43 hotel tax. Definitely nickel and dimed the entire stay. Placing a $400 hold on my card for "incidentals' on top of this was a surprise - I'll never stay here again.

Beautiful hotel on the east side of Lake Washington. Been staying here for years including the Woodmark holding our daughter’s wedding reception. Two restaurants within steps of the hotel. Clean lovely rooms. Only 2 complaints - 1 is there is no bar/lounge in the hotel- there used to be one pre- Covid but it is now space used for banquet department. -and 2- I’ve probably stayed at The Woodmark over 15 times including UW graduations, a huge wedding reception and multiple other events but I am asked every time I check in, “ welcome to the Woodmark. Is this your first time staying with us”? 🤦‍♀️|Stay in a room with a balcony- worth the extra $. Quiet, gorgeous- great location.

Stayed at the Woodmark Hotel and Spa for a work meeting for a couple of days. A beautiful location right on the lake and rooms have fantastic views. The rooms are well appointed and maintained, and decorated with a clean classic vibe. The common areas are very nice and the grounds are beautiful. A nice touch is the pantry behind the front desk. It opens after 10pm for guests and has a variety of complimentary snacks, sodas, and ice cream for that late night craving you might have. There are nice seating areas at the lake level with fire pits where you can watch the lake sunsets and have a drink into the early evening. The catering for meetings could be improved - the food was repetitive (the meals were all variations on the same theme) and while the quality was OK, the food didn’t match up with the level of the facilities.

The Woodmark Hotel boasts a truly stunning location right on Lake Washington. Our room had beautiful views of the water, and we loved waking up to the fresh lake breeze every morning. The firepits down by the dock were a lovely touch, and we enjoyed relaxing there in the evenings. ||||However, we were disappointed with the housekeeping service during our 3-night stay. Despite requesting our room to be cleaned on the second day, we returned to find it untouched. We contacted the front desk, and while they were apologetic and offered to send someone up right away, however nobody ever arrived. This occured both days during our visit.||||Overall, The Woodmark has the potential to be an exceptional hotel. The location is truly unbeatable, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and professional. However, the housekeeping issue definitely detracted from our experience. If clean rooms are a priority for you, you might want to consider contacting the hotel in advance to confirm housekeeping procedures.

This is not a resort therefore shouldn't be charging customers a Resort fee of $25 a night. No bar or restaurant inside the Hotel, but there are a couple close to the property. The amenities advertised along with the sitting areas by the lake were occupied by groups renting the lower conference area. Truly disappointed..

Awesome place! Probably one of our family’s favorites. Our room was with the Washington Lake view and we enjoyed the sunset. There is a wonderful place for breakfast nearby as well- Carillon Kitchen.

Incompetent hotel. Had a reservation and when arrived after a seven hour drive they said they sent an email saying it was canceled. No email whatsoever and sold out on a weekend.
