From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. Luis was friendly and professional, making me feel at ease right away. My massage therapist, Luis, was attentive and skilled. They took the time to ask about my areas of tension and customized the session accordingly. The pressure was just right – not too soft, but firm enough to release muscle knots and relieve tension. The room was peaceful, with soft lighting, soothing music, and a pleasant aroma that added to the overall relaxing vibe. I felt completely pampered from start to finish. By the end of the session, I felt a noticeable difference in my body – relaxed, lighter, and with much less tension in my shoulders and back. I cannot recommend Luis highly enough. As someone dealing with three herniated discs, poor posture, a sedentary lifestyle, and the added strain of extra weight, a 90-minute massage can often feel more like endurance than relief. However, Luis took every possible measure to ensure my comfort throughout the entire session. His attention to detail is unparalleled. From the room temperature to potential allergies, personal concerns, and areas of focus, he anticipates and adjusts with precision. Too often, I’ve told therapists what I wanted to focus on, only to receive a generic, routine massage. Not with Luis. This experience felt entirely customized—every technique and touch tailored to my specific aches, pains, and trouble spots. When I was unsure whether I needed a Swedish or therapeutic massage, he took the time to explain the differences before seamlessly incorporating both approaches into a truly personalized session. The results speak for themselves: I had been struggling with hip pain for five months—something neither I nor my physical therapist could resolve—yet I walked out pain-free. Hours later, I’m still in disbelief at how much relief I feel. Having dealt with chronic back pain and what feels like a lifetime of physical therapy, I can say with absolute confidence that Luis is more skilled than any PT I’ve seen in the last 15 years. His understanding of the body is remarkable—he knew exactly when a muscle was still in a knot and when it had fully released. Many therapists simply massage an area, but Luis worked with intention, ensuring lasting relief instead of temporary relaxation. When I say I left feeling like I was floating, I mean it. My body was as relaxed as a completely limp ferret (and if you’ve ever seen one, you know that’s saying something). Beyond his skill, the ambiance he creates is just as thoughtful. Given that his practice is in a shared space, I was concerned about potential distractions from hair dryers or salon scents. But his setup is incredibly mindful—blackout curtains block excess light, mellow lo-fi tunes set the perfect mood, and carefully chosen lotions and sprays eliminate any lingering salon smells. Luis is worth every penny and more. I will absolutely be returning—and probably much sooner than later.

Five stars is NOT an overstatement! Luis is amazing every time! Each visit with him is an invigoration of the mind, body, and spirit. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy. I always feel safe and relaxed. Your comfort throughout your massage session with him is always his main priority. He is knowledgeable, attentive, and listens. He takes his time, makes great recommendations, and incorporates stretching. His level of pressure is exactly what I was looking for. He goes above and beyond. Treat yourself and give him a try. You will be back!

Luis was amazing! Super professional. I usually have a go to massage therapist I stick with, but because he’s on a break I decided to give The Bearded Guru a try. And I am sold. I will definitely be back for more regular sessions. I’m a yoga teacher, runner and athletic person overall and I can’t go too long without massages. The space was comfortable and clean and the overall experience was on a full service spa level. Luis was very considerate, knowledgeable and had an amazing technique. Definitely give him a try. You won’t regret it. He’s made a regular out of me.
