I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s absolutely adorable and such a welcoming space! I come here to get waxing done, and Kandace is truly amazing. She is incredibly detail-oriented and takes the time to listen to all of my requests, making sure I leave 100% satisfied every time. Her precision and care are unmatched, and you can tell she genuinely wants her clients to feel their best. On top of that, the place itself is so cozy, and relaxing—it feels like a little retreat every time I visit. If you’re looking for top-notch service with a personal touch, this is the place to go. I’ve been getting waxed for 8 months now here and have had everyone who offers bikini/Brazilian waxes. I’ve had a great experience with them all, but special shout out to Sarah for making it a fun experience while getting waxed! She’s been super helpful and supportive in my wax journey and always has a fun story to make the time pass quickly. Plus she’s quick and very thorough so I feel like I’m definitely getting a great quality wax every time! Highly recommend:)

I've been going to Theory for almost 4 years, and I work with Kandace for waxing and the occasional facial treatment. Kandace is absolutely wonderful to work with-- not only is she just so nice and good at what she does, but she has a wealth of knowledge about skincare that has helped me immensely. She is also just genuinely so easy to talk to and so conscientious about my comfort while waxing. Cannot say enough great things about her, and would recommend her to anyone. :)

I’ve been going to Kandace for over a year now for my Brazilians and she is FANTASTIC. She is efficient, quick and gentle and extremely knowledgeable. She makes you feel so comfortable in your skin! Theory staff is wonderful all the way at the front desk and they always have the cutest Knick knacks and skincare to shop while you wait. The ambiance, decor, staff and service are 11/10. I highly recommend!

KANDACE did my armpit wax and oh lord it was horrible I had got my armpit waxed for 2 years now I always have to strech my skin so that my skin is evenly waxed for the first time ever, she told me not to do that and I got horrible ingrown hairs that look like some kind of outbreak on my skin. It was just ingrown hairs just fully covering my armpits. It took it two weeks to resolve and now I have scars left. I don’t recommend this place or this person.

My most favorite place to get sugared in Seattle. Kandace is amazing. Such a lovely space. I always look forward to going. Also, they have such a lovely collection of gifts and skincare in the lobby.

I recently had an amazing facial by Marisol. I would highly recommend her. She took the time to get to know my skin type and made sure to customize the right facial for me. She created a relaxing atmosphere for me and I did not expect to be pampered as much as I was. I left feeling really relaxed and my face was glowing and it felt fresh, soft and smooth. The overall experience was great and I will 100% continue to come back to see her.

Got eyebrows waxed a day before thanksgiving to celebrate the festivities. My brow was burnt and after few hours I had swelling in my brow area and slowly my eyelid was closed with swelling. One side of my face is all swollen and ugly. My holiday plan all got ruined thanks to brow wax.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and I absolutely love it. I look forward to my monthly sessions with Deb, who is the only one I trust with my services. Deb is fun, talented, consistent and does a wonderful job making my services quick, relaxing and natural (depending on what I’m going in for!) I’d recommend trying a few different services to see what you like. I book with Deb for all of my waxing services, brow or lash lifts/tints and she puts extra love and care into her amazing facials. Coming in is the highlight of my month for sure!

I’ve been getting my waxes and facials done by Melissa for the past year and a half and I look forward to my monthly visits each time. For the wax side of things, Melissa is so easy to talk to to help make the time fly by and she is also quick as can be and has a good eye to details. I’ve gotten Brazilians, legs and eyebrows on the regular and she keeps my brows thick but well shaped. When getting a facial she provides an almost sanctuary like experience. The bed is warmed and she provides a wonderful neck to arm massage as well. If I didn’t get extractions I would probably fall asleep. From my understanding the other estheticians provide a similar level of service as well!

So basically, I would follow Sarah to the ends of the Earth She's very skilled, knowledgeable, and professional. I go to her for both facials and sugaring (Brazilian and underarms) and highly recommend you do too! I know that trusting someone to work on your face can be scary, but Sarah makes the entire experience enjoyable and relaxing. You can just let her know your concerns and skin goals and she is able to recommend services and products to help you get there. Her sugaring technique is effective and efficient; I have tried several other places in the Greater Seattle area over the years and have yet to find anyone better than her. The front desk was super friendly, and the checkout was a breeze. They have several lines of product to choose from and the whole vibe is so cute. Also, their facial table is literally a heavenly cocoon of warmth. I literally wish I could lay there for hours. Overall I totally recommend seeing Sarah but have also heard amazing things about Johanna! I'm so glad that Theory has such solid estheticians and can't wait to be back

Tried sugaring for the first time here and I’m officially hooked! Sooo much gentler than traditional wax and my skin felt so ridiculously smooth. I’m going on 4 weeks post-appointment and I barely have any regrowth. The estheticians here are so nice and the overall space and vibe is super welcoming. Highly recommend!

I really love coming to this place. It's beautiful and clean, a really calming aesthetic. I always work with Deb although I feel comfortable with anybody there. Debbie and I go way back to her time at the Wax Bar. She is professional and thoughtful. But is she is also more than just the person who makes me beautiful, she is such an awesome person to talk to. I adore her! I can't recommend this place enough. My husband has also come here to get his neck waxed and Deb works magic on keeping him looking fresh and clean.

Had my first visit to Theory S&W this morning. The waiting area is spacious and inviting. They carry several lines of high quality skin products. I saw Kandace for waxing. She was warm and professional and provided great service. I highly recommend Theory and will definitely be returning for more skin care services.

She has helped me bring my skin back to optimal health, and now I see her on a monthly basis to maintain care. I’ve come here a few times to get my eyebrows waxed and absolutely love it. The staff is so kind and the services are high quality. I’ve had Kandace the last couple of times and she is amazing!!!! Theory Skin and Wax is my go-to spot for fast, professional, and thorough waxing services. The staff is always courteous and welcoming. I have visited during COVID-19 and felt very safe as they are following all recommended guidelines. The premises were clean, hand sanitizer is provided and payment is cashless. I cannot recommend Melissa enough for waxing services. She has an amazing bedside manner and is a perfectionist in her work.

Today was my first visit to Theory, and I am definitely going back! I have really sensitive skin and Candace went through the different options of wax and tweezing for brows. She was very knowledgeable and professional, but also great at conversation and keeping me comfortable the whole time. Best part about first time waxing is complementary brow tinting! I've never tried it before, but I'm in love with the results! I can't wait to go back for more services!

I LOVE this place!!! Its super cute and the staff is super friendly. I got a brow and lip wax with Kandace and she did an amazing job. I have been going to Anastasia at Nordstrom but this will be my new place from now on. If you have not tried it you are missing out! 100% recommend.

I have been Melissa (the owner)’s client for many years. Super high quality and professional. I go for eye brows (to avoid a mild unibrow situation). Melissa provides just the right balance between clean and not over done. The location has a really nice aesthetic - if that’s your thing - but it’s also just clean and obviously a professional and well managed establishment. 10/10 would recommend.

Melissa is the best! I used to see Melissa at Wax Bar and followed her to her to Theory. The new space is clean and airy, and parking is much easier! My wax was great - thorough and efficient yet relaxing. I trust her entirely, she knows just the right shape without being too extreme. Highly recommend

The space is beautiful, they sell really cool skin care products and a few accessories out front, and most importantly: they know what they’re doing. Deb is amazing. She’s super nice, funny, careful, and QUICK. She uses products that help soothe my really sensitive skin and I always leave with a little extra pep in my step. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We live in Crown Hill and I was delighted to see this thoughtful new addition! The space is really cool and boutique has curated products from many small business (which is awesome). Melissa and Deb are wonderful. Melissa did my brows and honestly it brightened and lifted my face - I actually had 2 people ask if I had been on vacation recently and I think it was the brow and lash tint (haha). It would be a good gift for any woman in you life too! So relaxing, easy parking (which is key) and great feeling from staff. Would recommend.

Deb is the Brow Queen! I followed her from another salon because I won't let anyone else touch my eyebrows :) She's an expert with shaping, and is always careful to only take off as much hair as needed (great for someone who overplucked in middle school). I would highly recommend Deb!
