Patty is amazing and so kind. I was recommended to her by my friend Gabby and am so happy with her services. I have very temperamental wavy curly hair and prefer non traditional hair cuts and Patty gets it. She cuts curly hair dry and is so accommodating and actually LISTENS to feedback unlike many stylists these days. She’s corrected two haircuts for me at this point. One from a stylist who had no curly hair experience and one from me being bored and impatient and cutting it myself lol. Thank You Patty!

After moving to NYC, I struggled to find a stylist who can shape my hair and maintain its flow between cuts. I’ve tried at least half a dozen salons until I found Patty at Third Prince. 5 years later, she is still my go-to stylist for a fresh cut. She’s so sweet and accommodating, and her years of experience really shines through. I find it important to choose a stylist who understands my hair texture as I like it short, and she totally gets it!

Beware the thinning shears!! I came in asking for a trim for an over-layered, lopsided haircut, and I left with about 40% of my hair on the floor, much of which was due to the use of thinning shears. Thinning shears may be effective on heavy Asian hair, but they are not good for baby-fine hair like mine. Now my hair is way too short, too thin, and it doesn't hold its shape. It is a disaster. The second star is for the skilled use of the thinning shears. But they shouldn't be used on hair the texture of mine and never to the extent that they were without prior discussion with the client. Update: 20 weeks and 2 haircuts later, my hair looks like my hair again. It is shorter than what I wanted, but it no longer looks like it was put through a shredder.

This was my first time at the salon and by far my best salon experience ever. I love Patty’s energy. She was welcoming and fun but very professional and had a expert eye. Price is very reasonable. I called to make an appointment and luckily she was able to fit me in the day of. I have very long, wavy hair that was up to my butt and I wanted to chop it off to donate. I was worried Patty would not be familiar with the procedure so I called ahead to ask and was assured that she was familiar with the process. I showed her a few inspo pics and left it to her on what length bob would fit best with my face shape. She asked me detailed questions such as whether I would like to be able to tie it up still or not at all and after some discussion we decided on the length which would end up being the shortest I’ve ever gotten. She recommended dry cut. Although I was nervous, she kept reassuring me and checking with in with me during the entire process to make sure I was comfortable with the length, style, etc. The whole experience felt very personal as if I was hanging out with a friend. She is the best and I highly recommend her. I love my cut and will be coming here from now on!

Best salon experience in nyc! I came here after I got a bad haircut at another salon and couldnt be happier with my results. Just got the haircut from here today and all I can say is amazing! The hairdresser was very friendly and listened to me. She did the hair cut step by step and very careful. Her name is Patt! She knew what she was doing for sure. She fixed my previous haircut that was terrible. She even gave me tips to style my hair and price also reasonable. Def will come back! :)

I absolutely love Third Prince Salon!! I was overdue for a haircut and Patty never disappoints. Not only is she a true talent, but also such a gem of a human being!! She knows her stuff and always gives a killer cut and style, all for the most affordable price. She’s the queen of long layer cuts and cuts my thick curly/wavy hair with ease. Patty was so great! She took her time to see what my hair texture and natural shape is and to talk through what I wanted. She also showed me how to style it with tools I already had at home and didn't recommend that I buy anything new. On top of that - her prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Patty is AMAZING! I suggest you make a reservation as she is popular. Shes so sweet, funny and very honest. She helped me style my bangs to look good on me and gave me recommendations on how to style my hair using a round brush and blow dryer. I walked out the Salon feeling so cute and confident.

patti, the stylist was amazing! one of my best and cheapest cuts! she also offers free bang trims. 4 stars because the receptionist (i believe she is patti's sister) was a bit rude on the phone and it took me a week of calling a couple times to get an appointment. she also did my hair wash/scalp massage and it was a little painful
