This place is absolutely amazing! Honestly, I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience was with everyone at Tijeras Hair Co. We are new to Albuquerque. This combined with the autoimmune problems I have (scents/chemicals are a big problem) made me concerned about being able to find a salon that would work for me. The receptionist, Kya, and stylist, Liz, were incredibly kind, patient, listened well, and were willing to do everything possible to help. Also, Liz is highly skilled and has a deep knowledge base to pull from. I wish there were 10 stars available to select!!

My hairstylist's name was Liz, she was very kind and helpful, she was very enthusiastic and helped me feel at ease as she worked on cutting my hair; it was my first time getting my hair cut in ABQ. I've had some bad experiences with my hair being cut, but Liz did an amazing job and her mom was so kind too, also shout out to Kya their front desk receptionist. Thank you so much for a warm welcome and amazing work. I love my new cut and styling is so much easier now.

I received a perm from Leslie today after not having one for many, many years and she did a fabulous job! I was nervous, of course, but her expertise and sense of humor helped me to relax and trust the process. I am so glad I did this. Love my hair!! Thank you Leslie!! xo

I just have to say, this is the ONLY place in Albuquerque that I will go to for my hair. Not only are the vibes so homey and nice, the experience, the communication was EVERYTHING I have been looking for in a salon. Even while the haircut was happening she would stop and ask if what she was doing was looking good and she would genuinely tell me how my hair would be if she did things a certain way. They even took me in when I called to see if I could walk in. AMAZING 10/10 RECOMMEND

Leslie was awesome! She really helped my daughter with her curly hair. She is so knowledgeable about her craft. We were in town from out of state and the reviews brought us in and the talent and customer care would keep us coming back, if we lived in New Mexico which is sounding like a great idea.

I called after I had a failed perm at another salon. Leslie had a cancellation and got me in right away! I'm sooo happy. She understood right away what the problem was and totally fixed my hair. She was able to cut it and make use of the little curl that was there. I would VERY highly recommend these ladies.

I love love love this place and all the people that work there! I would give them 10 stars if I could. Not only does Liz do an amazing job with my fine, thin hair, she is also kind, gentle, respectful, and incredibly compassionate. I recently had a true hair emergency, and the whole staff was so supportive and understanding. Liz literally rescued me from a horrible hair situation, and I walked out with a cute haircut and my confidence and dignity restored. I am so incredibly grateful.Thank you!!!

I have been a long time returning customer and can say this is the best hair salon! They all do phenomenal work and take pride in what they do! Leslie has transformed my hair into exactly what I wanted while take cautious care not to break or damage my hair. She is a perfectionist and makes sure the quality of work is always met with yours and her expectations!

I moved to NM from Seattle five years ago and hated to leave my wonderful hair cut person there. I bumbled around for a while here, not finding a good replacement, before asking a chic friend for a recommendation. She sent me to Liz and Liz is FANTASTIC. Liz helped figure out how to give me the exact hair style I wanted and held firm when I pushed for shorter -- too short! -- of course she was right. One thing I particularly appreciate is that Liz every time I come in sees my hair as if it's for the first time, and doesn't fall into cutting on auto pilot, which can happen over time. Highly recommend!

Tijeras has cared for my hair since I moved to Albuquerque a decade ago. Fortunately, it was the first Albuquerque salon I visited. I took a chance on this salon near my house and it paid off Big Time. Leslie is my go-to person for color and cut and she makes sure I have a good experience every time I visit. She listens when I explain what I do (and don't) want and is happy to make recommendations when I need her expertise. The Tijeras hygiene/cleaning practices are top notch and the salon is a beautiful space to be in. Liz and Jacque created something special in this salon and I hope it continues for many years to come.

Exceptionally skilled stylists. Cuts and color work is the best. Back in Albuquerque and seeing my favorite hairstylist, Liz. Liz has been cutting, coloring my hair for a VERY long time, maybe over 30 years. She has given me every cut imaginable, and her color work is supurb! I get compliments EVERY time she does my hair. Thank you Liz.

Got a perm from Liz! She is definitely the perm queen. I actually had gotten a perm initially with someone else, but it only lasted a max of roughly a month. I know that the one I got with Liz is going to be a long lasting ! Thank you for the care. Straight hair pic included.

I always go to Leslie. She has been fantastic and my hairstylist since 2016. I never had a different hairstylist after her. She knows me well and what I need. And the place is just amazing. Everyones face in the shop lights up when I walk in, every single time.

I love Tijeras Hair Co. Leslie cuts my hair, and I can always trust her work. Even more, and VERY importantly, because I have mobility issues, she takes care of me. She makes sure I don’t have to climb any steps up, and makes other accommodations for my disability and age. She’s able to do this because Tijeras Hair always does their best to look after their customers. Best of all, they have exercised both ordinary and extraordinary care during the Covid pandemic. As part of the most vulnerable population, I really appreciate that.

I've been coming to Tijeras Hair Company for many, many years for monthly cuts and quarterly color. 4 months ago I got a perm, and to this day it still looks brand new! I absolutely love it! (They also have suggested wonderful products to keep it looking it's best.) I always look forward to my appointment because everyone is extremely friendly, warm, highly skilled and very professional!
