I said this in a loc group, it was suggested that I post it here to warn others. I set an appointment for Saturday online through Booksy and paid a $105 deposit for starter Locs. I arrived about 15 minutes early. Full & busy shop. No problem. She did not start on my hair on time. She had about three clients she was working on when I got there. She washed my hair (again) and set me under the dryer. Mind you, my hair was already washed, conditioned and sectioned when I got there. While I was waiting in the “lobby” area, I got a call from the shop where my work vehicle was getting routine service. The truck shop was very close by in a building similar to the one her shop is in. That’s the primary reason why I selected her salon. I asked to leave for 30m to p/up my work vehicle so it did not get locked in the shop until Monday. The shop was new to me so I did not know they were closed on Sundays too. I repeat she was not ready on time to do my hair. She had 3 clients she was working on when I got there. The only thing she did was wash my hair. I was back inside seated in loc shop in 20m. She was only on the 2nd of those 3 clients. We discussed what I wanted for the unpteenth time. Small traditional starter Locs. She goes back to working on someone else then in about an hour she tells me she can’t do my hair now and that I will have to make another appt and come back. I asked her about my deposit. She said I could use it on another service. I reminded her that I do not live in Chicago. Never received my deposit back. Never was in the area long enough to go back. I WAS FLAT OUT SCAMMED. The positive side is that I was so frustrated with this experience that I learned how to install and maintain my own Locs. BEST THING EVER!! The joy & freedom & peace I have found with my hair in this loc journey in knowing I don’t have to deal with this type of foolishness is next level🥰

I Appreciate you guys so much for getting Me Back On Point I Wouldn't Made It Through The Day If It Wasn't For Yall I Came In As Walk-in For Ah ReTwist In Got My Hair Washed In All My Dreads Came Out But Thanks To You Guys Yall Had reattached all my dreads to Ah better form in ah better way wit Ah wonderful style I Highly Recommend Everyone Who Need There Dreads Done Repair Or Reattached These Is The People Yall Need To Go To ASAP ☺️ The Min I Left The Shop I Had So Many Compliments On My Hair Style In The Way It Was Done ☺️ Thank You Guys Again Yall Will Be My New Hairstylist for now on ❤️

Tish is absolutely amazing! I have been going to here for years before my locs, and she helped me get to a healthy natural hair state before locking. very interactive hair stylist.
