Got a massage and facial. Massage Therapist was good, but the room was chilly and the cold air was constantly blowing on me. They could not fix that so that was not relaxing at all. I had chills and goosebumps the whole time. It ruined what would have otherwise been a decent massage. When I told them that at checkout, they were kind of meh about it. No apology or acknowledgement, or offer to discount which would have been most appropriate. She just said that "was good to know." That was very disappointing. Facial was a very nice experience. However, they presumed I would buy all the products they used on me and had to remove them from my bill at checkout when I declined. I didn't like that presumption. Overall, mid at best. I was expecting more for what I paid for the entire experience. It was underwhelming and I've paid much less money for better experiences. Go elsewhere.

Oh. My. God. Best massage I’ve ever had. Ezekiel was intelligent and intentional in his work. I’m relocating to the east coast and wish I wasn’t now because I’d be back every week and request him specifically. Michelle at the reception was also lovely. I forgot my necklaces in my robe and she immediately called me to tell me. She was extremely professional and kind. The picture I’ve included is of the sign that is RIGHT IN FRONT of the spa. If you see it, park. Do not keep driving down the street. The signage throughout property is pretty terrible so hopefully it gets fixed. I’m not directionally challenged and still got lost. Overall, a great experience.

An okay experience. I've been to a number of spas and this one ranked in the middle. The massage rooms are located in different area than the check-in. So you have to walk outside and around a pool which your massage therapist guide you. The front desk gal did not give me slippers so I walked on my bare feet, which, in the summertime is not that comfortable. The massage room itself was nice, music a little loud. The therapist was very nice but I felt like this was the standard 80-minute massage that every single person gets. I told her my lower back was tight and my left shoulder. She spent all of 2 minutes on my lower back and no time at all on the front of my shoulder. To change you're taking to a bathroom, no lockers. Also there are no showers so if you are planning on going to dinner afterwards, I wouldn't recommend having them put oil in your scalp. Nice enough but just not what I expected for the cost.

I left disappointed. I had a massage and a seaweed wrap. 1st the massage. For a 'therapeutic 50 min massage' I first of all expect full 50 minutes! She Didn't touch most of my body. She asked where my problem areas were but I didn't think she'd stop at that. She spent 38 mins on my neck and shoulders and then stopped. The seaweed wrap. IS NOT WARMING. It's like covering your entire body in icey hot and then covering yourself in saran wrap for 15 mins while the therapist rats your hair. It was terrible and I was never told it was full of peppermint until I was on the table. Even then I wasn't prepared for that level of freezing until it was on me. Then you get a hot shower. Then she rubs lotion on you. Then they tack on massive gratuity- not a word about that until they ask for payment of $438 for the 2 services!!! I did do a $25 add on- which I guess I question if it was done now? I wish I would have been told what to expect and I wish I'd have read reviews. They're real.

I was a little hesitant to keep my reservation for a one hour massage based off of the reviews. However, I’m glad decided to keep it. Rosetta was absolutely amazing. She was very experienced with the service she provided and made sure I was comfortable with the pressure applied. From check-in to the massage the experience was very pleasant. The environment was warm, friendly, and professional. I would definitely recommend.

I hope this review actually gets reviewed. My sister and I went last week and when we arrived got a better picture of the limited services. My bad for not recognizing that, but we came three hours early to enjoy the pool. The spa manager said “well, we have a small waiting room if you like but the pool is for hotel guests only.’ She had no helpful words for the two of us and our dilemma, two people who were paying her salary. We left dejected and headed to the car. We went anyway to the pool and got in without incident. Here’s the kicker. When we got back for our treatments, they were not exactly at the same time so I had to wait a little. I went to the desk to pay and this adorable, smiley beautiful “people type” person, Stephanie, says to me, “would you like to go to the pool and wait there?” She handed me a wristband and one for my sister for her wait later. She made our day perfect and I suggest the hotel reconsider who they actually have as manager. I will also comment on the fact that the establishment included 20% tip without asking. What incentive does a massage therapist have to earn that? None. Stephanie, thank you again for your gracious hospitality. I am promoting you to head of all things that make a difference in other’s lives!! :)

I was hesitant to visit based of the mixed reviews of the spa. But here goes: I recently visited Tocaloma Spa and Salon for a mani-pedi service and had quite a mixed experience. Firstly, I must commend Robert, the masseuse, for an incredible massage - it was so relaxing that I actually fell asleep! Unfortunately, the positives end there. Upon arrival, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which initially set a good tone for my visit. However, I was quite disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding additional fees. I was gifted a Groupon mani-pedi and massage service, but was blindsided by unexpected charges. They charged me $50 to remove the gel polish on my fingers and toes, and then another $50 to upgrade to gel polish - doubling my initial cost. Now the technician, was kind enough to discount one of those removals to half off. However, what was meant to be a thoughtful gift ended up costing me $87.50 additional, which was quite a shock at checkout. Adding insult to injury, the 20% gratuity that the salon automatically includes in the bill bumped my total up to $156 by the time I was done. I wouldn't have minded paying extra if the service was exceptional, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The mani-pedi paint job was subpar, to say the least - there was paint left on my cuticles, and the layers were sloppy and looked amateurish. The technician was lovely and the conversation was great. But after 30 years of experience, as she mentioned to me, I expected a better outcome. I was so dissatisfied that I ended up having to visit my local nail salon to have everything removed and redone just two days later. Overall, while the staff was friendly and Robert's massage was top-notch, I was left feeling disappointed and out of pocket due to the salon's inefficiency in disclosing additional fees and the poor quality of the mani-pedi service.

My entire experience was a 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND and if giving 0 stars was a thing… I absolutely would because ITS GIVINGGG 1950’s, but like in Mississippi. Despite the drab, depressing and dated exterior, I gave this ‘spa’ a chance. I even had high hopes after checking in because the initial (yes, the INITIAL) receptionist was delightful. I arrived 25 mins prior to my scheduled appointment. I was escorted to a single use restroom and given instruction to change and leave my belongings in one of the open lockers. I wanna pause here and mention that it was at this moment that I realized that I had made a terrible TERRIBLE mistake. I should have taken heed to the fact that their website had no pictures, but here I was… ignoring the red flags. After changing into what quite possibly be the worlds most uncomfortable robe, I waited in the “waiting area” (if we’re being creative and calling it that) for about 45 mins before hearing the massage therapist scheduled to work with me verbally and intensely state how she refused to work with me because she was “uncomfortable”. She then began speaking about how she was not comfortable giving me a scalp and foot massage, despite this being my scheduled service. Naturally, hearing this, I was perplexed. Because yes this rhetoric made me extremely uncomfortable as the only black woman in the establishment; however, I was more so appalled at the audacity of this woman. Like… this isn’t the place to be refusing to service anyone because quite frankly this place is disgusting. So the nerve… but I digress. 30 mins after my scheduled appointment, the same high pitched voice that had so much to say about not wanting or feeling comfortable working with me came around the corner to tell me that she was ready for me. I should have taken this as my second cue to GET OUT, but clearly I ignore red flags and was dead set on getting a massage, so I stayed. After disrobing and settling into the massage bed, the massage therapist (who shall remain unnamed because 1. I don’t remember her name and 2. She’s not worth giving notoriety to) began making unwarranted remarks about how ‘different’ and ‘unique’ my hair is then began to question my economic status by stating “oh, you must live in like south Phoenix” and “you can’t be from around here”. Asking questions like “how many kids do you have?”… assuming I have children, which I do not. There were several micro aggressions and ignorant remarks that I became noticeably quiet, resulting in my service being cut by 30 mins…. Which is even more outlandish because for real… who goes to get a massage and requests the massage therapist to talk to them? Im here to relax, not make a friend. So not only did my service not begin on time, I did not get to enjoy the entire session. Once the therapist decided to end the session, I changed back into my clothes and proceeded to exit. As I was waiting to pay, someone else came from behind a random door like a genie and made passive aggressive comments about my sneaker choice. This was quite honestly the most passive aggressive racist experience I’ve ever had. Most definitely a waste of money and not worth the argument to fight with such ignorant and uninformed people. I definitely will not be back and will be sure to spread the word on how people of color are treated in this spa. Still on the hunt for an inclusive spa that is welcoming to all people, not just those who make them “comfortable”.

The Tocaloma Spa had the most caring staff. All staff members catered to the individual client. Even last-minute reservations were met with a smile and many phone calls if running late.

The spa environment was small and really not all that relaxing. I went in for a massage and they charged me an extra 26 for gratuity. I did not get a choice and I believe that was wrong because my massage was subpar.

Booked a 50 minute hot stone massage. Leticia was so good, I asked if she could extend it to an 80 minute massage. She was able to comply. Leticia was professional, intuitive, thorough with a gentle touch. Will return next time staying at the Hilton next door, but ONLY if Leticia is available.

I am not one to complain or place bad reviews but…. We booked couple massages for our 13 year anniversary and the massage was just an oil rub down for my wife and I.My wife stated for the last 10-15 minutes the therapist was just rubbing her hair and holding her neck in place, maybe got 3 minutes of a back massage and then moved to rubbing her fingers between my wives toes. I would honestly go back to Arizona Grand Resort for the same price if not cheaper and get an actual massage. My wife had a facial scheduled for tomorrow but cancelled that due to not wanting to pay $140 for someone to rub on facial moisturizer with some steam. Yes the facility is smaller but no tranquility room to relax. I would 10/10 recommend driving down to Arizona Grand or The Boulders in Scottsdale and getting the services there, they offer complimentary champagne, tranquility room and their therapist don’t hover over you to make sure you pay with the receptionist. Luckily we got the 20% added back due to poor services but I would honestly save your money and go elsewhere.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The good: massages with Delilah and Crystal. These ladies were awesome. Each listened to our individual areas of concern and tailored our massages accordingly. The massage room was lovely, comfortable, and well kept. The average: the grounds. This place has been around a long time, and its age is showing here and there. Nothing terrible; nothing exceptional. The bad: Pedicures with Sandy. Oh boy! I have never heard the term "feet shamed" before but that's exactly how it felt. Unsolicited commentary on how my toe nails are clipped.. weird. My toe nails look like chiclets.. thanks? Pedicures took a really long time, but not in a great, I-feel-so-relaxed-and-spoiled way, more like a oh-good-grief-I-am-so-over-this way. Definitely wasnt the massage portion of the pedicure taking so long because that was barely 7 minutes fornboth legs. I selected a toe polish with a matte finish. Sandy didnt understand it was a matte finsh and got confused why it didnt "shine up." She also left a finger print in my not-so-dry-yet polish. Unimpressed. TLDR: Massage good. Pedicure bad.

I would not recommend this spa. My husband and I did not receive services and this review is based on our experience. For some context, my husband and I stayed on the hotel property for our wedding anniversary staycation and were looking forward to a romantic weekend. My husband, earlier in the week, had called the spa and specifically asked to schedule a couples massage. Great, they got us in for an appointment on a weekend morning. A day before, they called to confirm. I can admit this is where we may have went wrong, but we missed the call and it slipped our minds to call back to confirm in the preparations for the weekend. However, they had asked for a card to have on file to secure the appointment (which my husband provided). So we show up to the spa a few minutes prior to the appointment time and the lobby was full. We give our names at check in and then they list off two individual services they had written down for us that was NOT a couples massage. We were puzzled and said no, we specifically scheduled a couples massage. We got a rather lackluster “sorry” and the lady said she would see if we could be accommodated. I kid you not, within 15 seconds she came back saying they did not have room and could not accommodate a couples massage, saying they had a “full house” for the weekend. To her credit, she offered individual massages, but as we specifically scheduled the couples massage, this was not acceptable. They said they’d put us to “the top of the waitlist” but did not anticipate any openings. The spa did nothing else to offer services or amends to make it right and we left really disappointed. Throughout this whole time, I found the desk staff rather apathetic. We later found out there was a wedding on property over the weekend. I’m not sure where the disconnect was. Did whomever that scheduled the appointment purposely schedule it wrong hoping we would still pay for services? Did they give our appointment away because they didn’t have “confirmation” we would be there? I don’t know, but either way we won’t be returning.

Pia is amazing.

Sandy was a pleasure! She allowed me to relax during my pedicure, which was lovely, and my toes look stellar. She provided me with some Earl Grey tea to follow my service and I was able to enjoy it outdoors on the patio to take in the beautiful scenery of the palm trees, cacti and flowers. Id highly recommend Sandy and Tocaloma Salon + Spa for a relaxing addition to your stay here at Hilton Tapatio Cliffs.

The spa is small and intimate!! The girls at the front were very helpful and friendly! My massage therapist Robert was 5stars amazing!! He’s the best !! The extra nice thing about this spa is you can use the hotel amenities which includes 7 pools and some hot tubs!! Best deal in town!!

The staff at this spa pampered me and went above and beyond to make my time there fabulous! Thanks so much!

Feb 05, 2024

The therapist all have years of experience and provide a great service.

Feb 05, 2024

Very expensive glorified oil rub down. Ask for exactly opposite of that and this was not a massage at all. $250 after the 20% auto added tip. When I spoke to the manager she agreed to give that 20% back. Expected so much more for the price and the customer service. A true bummer for a weekend getaway. On the flip side, the person I went with was satisfied.

Feb 05, 2024

Would not recommend. The only reason I stayed a spa club member for the last year was to keep seeing my preferred masseuse. However, after the front desk staff scheduled me for the wrong service, cancelled appointments with no notice, and scheduled me for days when my preferred masseuse wasn't working, I'd had enough.

Feb 05, 2023

Always a pleasure 🙂

Enjoyed a couples’ massage and full body treatment with Robert and Rosemary for our honeymoon. It was our first spa experience and certainly not our last! We left feeling relaxed and well-taken care of during our services and by the receptionists. Everyone was so kind in answering all of our questions, teaching us about the benefit of massage and spa services, and even gave us some local restaurant recommendations for dinner.

Feb 05, 2023

I had a 50 minute massage done by Robert. It was the best massage I’ve ever gotten. He was so professional and concentrated on my trouble spots. I’m extremely picky and he did an amazing job. If you are looking for a massage try this spa. You will not be disappointed!!

Such a comfortable environment & the staff were super friendly Louise is such a sweetheart <3

Feb 05, 2020

Allison and Jeannine are the bomb👍. Awesome experience- go see them today👌

Feb 05, 2020

Extremely overpriced and the quality of service is not as good. A simple pedicure that did not even last 3 days cost me 100 dollars. Why? Because it was so thick that got smushed after 7 hours when I finally wore shoes and I had to play another 35 for them to reapply the poliah on 3 of my toes

Feb 05, 2020

The best crew ever. Loving my new hair style and funky color. They made my 40th birthday the best day ever.

Feb 05, 2020

The service was excellent..My pedicure was relaxing g

Feb 05, 2020

They treated me like a million bucks! First they had me change into a super soft robe and slippers and while I waited I sipped a tea. My massage was amazing, my facial was better than expected. I walked out feeling comfortable without makeup for the first time in a long time. It was on the pricier side but worth it for me. The only part I wasn’t a huge fan of was my masseuse talked the entire massage and I would have preferred a more quiet atmosphere.
