I recently visited Tom’s Beautiful Hair, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly atmosphere and a beautifully decorated salon filled with natural light. Everything about my experience at Tom’s was top notch. Tom, his assistant Daniel, Esteban, and his beautiful space were second to Tom's amazing detail to attention and expertise in cutting my hair. He helped fix a “touch up” cut gone wrong (from a different place) with only 1 week to my wedding. Took a chance choosing Tom to fix it, but I’m glad I did!

I’ve now have had my hair highlighted once and cut twice by Tom, and I’m a very happy client! The cuts he give me last a long time and suite my hair and face very well. I am also very happy with my highlights. Tom really is a master stylist in my experience. Additionally, his assistant Daniel is lovely and gives great hair washing service. This photo isn’t from the salon, but a week after a cut and 3 months after my highlighting appointment. I chose it to show how good my hair is simply blow dried by unprofessional me.

This marks my 28th year going to Tom Songin, and I have had every cut, color and style under the sun. Without hesitation I can say that I have NEVER been disappointed. He has styles me through two marriages and three children, a break from my career in education and every up and down imaginable. Through it all he has made me feel beautiful, empowered and worthy. I decided to go with a fresh color and sassy cut, and once again I left his salon floating on air with confidence and joy! I cannot recommend him enough if you want to look and feel like a million bucks!!

Thomas is excellent. Lovely salon. Very knowledgeable about suiting the cut to your hair type and face shape. Also gave me beautiful low lights that look completely natural. Never fails to please. Highly recommend.

Tom's Beautiful Hair is wonderful; I've been going for years and am always happy (and impressed.) There is such attention to detail, in ambiance and decor as well as, of course, the hair styling which is always great. My last (overdue) trip was especially welcome, and I am still happy. My wife's experiences have also been great, with the best results I've seen. And I should add that while I have had the fortune to have Tom do my hair often, Wane (who also did my wife's hair) did a great job with me last visit.

Beautiful hair is an understatement for the magic Thomas Songin and his salon. Been coming here now for perhaps 10 years and no regrets. The ambience is so calming with big windows and trees outside, music to relax with and friendly conversation. Tom is a master stylist and always keeps up on new trends, products and whatever hair gurus learn. He just came back from a hair show in Orlando. How cool is that? He knows hair and scalps. Yet, he has never pushed me to buy products. I have a super sensitive scalp to color. He has made it possible for me to enjoy color, highlights galore without developing a rash or irritation because he understands my scalps needs. He preps my hair well with natural products. Daniel washes my hair thoroughly and gently without tugging or hurting my scalp. After the color, Thomas has magic scissor hands. He's a perfectionist with every strand. I always feel great and come out pleased. I'm a busy front line healthcare worker and the cut is so easy to maintain. He knows my hair and my lifestyle needs. It's worth the money as you wear your hair everyday unlike a nice blouse you buy that you wear once or twice. Thomas adapts my style to my life and needs. That's very important. As my grays grow in, I'll keep coming and he'll know what works. Love this salon.

I had a wedding in San Francisco & wanted to get my hair done for the occasion. I researched salons near the hotel I was staying at and came across Tom’s. As I read some of the reviews I thought it looked like a nice place to try & it was in walking distance. The minute I got there everyone was so welcoming, warm, friendly & the salon was spotless. My appointment was with Wane & he did a fabulous job on my hair. It was such a nice feeling knowing as fussy as I am that I was this pleased. I would highly recommend this place to anyone & I would definitely go back if I have an occasion in San Francisco in the future. I also got so many compliments as well! I thank you all! I have been trusting Thomas with my hair since the salon opened 27 years ago. He's that good. I've stayed through the various jobs, two kids, a few different hairstyles and a move to the East Bay, and I still get stopped on the street (no kidding) by people who ask where I get my hair cut. Thomas is not only a gifted stylist, he is my friend. I've seen a lot of other clients come in and out from that chair, and not only do they leave looking amazing, but they feel great too, because the wonderful team at Tom's makes everyone feel like a neighbor and a friend.

I wanted to cut several inches off my long hair and was a bit scared of doing so, but I couldn't have asked for a better cut. Thomas asked all the right questions before getting to work and the results are amazing. My hair falls perfectly and looks great regardless of whether it's styled or not. Very happy!

Expected me to wait longer than 30 minutes for an appointment I scheduled a week in advance. I left after 30 mins because the stylist still wasn't close to finishing their previous appointment. I don't mind waiting 10-15, but 30+ is too much with zero updates or a headsup... and not a single word from the stylist themselves. I asked for water but they never brought it during those 30 minutes. The place also smells weird (perhaps plumbing issues? Might be temporary). That did not make the wait pleasant. Really disappointed.

I just walked out of the salon feeling more fabulous than I have in a LONG time. Daniel was amazing. Really looked at MY hair and help me tailor the hairstyle i wanted based on what would look best on me. I’ve never been loyal to a salon before but I will certainly be going back here. It’s pricey but you get what you pay for and it’s so worth it. Thank you!!!!

So mad about this experience. I didn't realize my hair is not even when I was doing the hair cut with Daniel. The short part on the side looks so weird and feels nothing like the photo I showed to him. And the hair bangs are way thicker than i expected after wash. Base on the reviews, this place might be better(?) for an American style haircut, but if you are looking for an Asian hair look like the Korean style, stay away from it.
