The 1st time I went I was very satisfied. I went yesterday got my hair highlighted now you can't even tell I have highlights from the time before. I am NOT satisfied with all the money that I paid. So today I plan to call the manager to let her know about this. Maybe they'll make it up and give me the highlights that I showed on the photo.

Today I had my second botched haircut at Topics. Both times I gave the so/called stylist a picture of myself with the haircut I wanted. Neither time did she give anything like what I wanted. There’s a reason the cuts are cheap. That’s what you look like when you leave there.

Are used to go here every single time to do my hair and the way they treat people it’s just disgusting at this point at first I thought it was just because they’re busy and they have a lot going on but this time they made me wait an hour I don’t had an appointment. I understand if I didn’t. I called three times to make an appointment just because I wanted to specific person and when I got there, the person was there they just, made my appointment with someone else and then had other people that was walking in in the chair people that was late to their appointment that served before me when I’m waiting there with an infant for over an hour. It was the most disgusting thing ever and I felt like I was treated differently just because I was the only colored person in there , I would never go there again and I hope people read my comment it’s hurtful

The last time I was here, I made a request to get my hair done. I wanted a butterfly haircut she charged me for a wash and a blowout and she basically just run her fingers through my hair with the blow dryer. It was not even a butterfly cut and I let it go it was finebecause I got my haircut just because I didn’t have nowhere to go but my experience keep getting worst and worst I will never go back

I was a regular patron for 10+ years until they started playing bait and switch with my stylist!!! So upset, they kept booking my (online)appointment with someone else, very unprofessional and unforgivable, I like honesty and transparency when I do business at an establishment!!!

When I had my hair lightened, the woman used volume 40 on my already bleached hair which I told her my hair fried the last time someone used volume 40 but she said it was slow reacting. My hair ended up getting extremely fried on the end and my ends were knotted. The only reason why there’s any stars is because I’ve never had any do my highlight in a perfect pattern that I like and she pulled it off nicely, minus the volume 40.

Yasim is amazing! When I booked my first appointment at Topics, I didn’t have a particular stylist in mind. I chose Yasim because I thought her nickname, “Shimmy,” sounded fun. And she is! But more importantly, she is knowledgeable and talented and simply the best stylist I’ve ever had. My hair was quite dry and damaged when I went in, but she knew what was needed. I couldn’t believe the difference in the way my hair looked and felt after just one visit. She asked questions about the style and color I wanted, listened to me and offered suggestions that were very welcome. I couldn’t be happier and have booked my next visit. I’m very happy to have found Shimmy and Topics… absolute highest recommendation!

Yasim is the greatest! I walked out a brand new person today. I would give ten stars if I could. I feel like I have movie star hair 🤩 and she is very tedious and methodical and pays attention to detail I like how thorough she is and how my hair looks. Also her chair mannerisms are amazing she really knows her processes if you ask questions about things she explains everything really well not just giving general answers. I gave her a general idea of what I was considering and she asked if I would also like to do a few other things that she believed would make it work best for what I was thinking about, I couldn’t envision it but I said whatever you think would work best go ahead do it, turned out perfectly! I can’t wait to come back. Yasim you are a gift to this area with your craft thank you so much! 😊

Been going here for over 15 years several different names but same place. The advertise walk-in welcome and have always been happy to help in a timely manner. However that is a thing of the past. The last 3 times I have tried to go in they wanted me to come back in several hours. The last time I went in was the straw that broke the camels back though. Walked in there were 2 stylist sitting around talking there was only one other customer inside. They told me I could come back in 2 or 3 hours and they could get me in. I was told someone had just called on the phone and was on there way would be there in about 15-20 minutes. If you are going to put a sign out saying walking welcome no wait why would you make someone make an appointment. Looks like I am looking for a new place to get hair cuts at.

Melanie and the whole staff are amazing!! They were so accommodating to our literal last minute booking! Can not say enough how thankful we are for helping make our Bride’s Bachelorette Day!!! The rain was terrible and not making of a good hair day. She fixed that!! Thanks again!!! ❤️❤️

Went in with inspo pics and thought that I was clear on what I wanted, my hair was a hot mess when I left. I hope nobody else experiences what I did and when I called for a refund they said the manager would call me back, but that never happened. Waste of money and time, glorified great clips for sure.

Holly is the best! She’s been doing my daughters hair for the last year and from day one Holly listened to what she wanted and actually got it right. Her hair is naturally curly hair and it is extremely hard to color. Holly always talks to her and makes her feel at ease. Holly has earned her trust and is the only one she will let touch her hair. She had started doing my hair and my other daughters hair. My daughter has referred 4 of her friends to Holly and they have all left loving their hair ! Thank you for taking care of us all!

I thought my appointment would be with Holly since she took the call and was the last one to cut my hair last but it was with someone different. I had liked the cut Holly gave me and would have preferred her to have cut it next time I know to ask for Holly.

Very disappointed in the unprofessional manor in which we were treated by Loryn. Our appointment was for 8:30 am for my granddaughter to have her hair styled for a 13 birthday photo shoot. We arrived at 8:42. We had a car issue which put us behind. We were greeted with you are late so I can no longer style her hair. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late I won’t take you. After literally 5 minutes of begging we convinced her to take us. At that point we would have been beyond grateful and never thought about our treatment. However, the attitude my granddaughter received during her styling was not cool. No communication No small talk just very uncomfortable the entire appointment. When I paid for service, I thanked her for styling her hair. She followed with next time call if you cannot be on time. Rude! Not to mention when the appointment was scheduled it was for an updo or braids. When she agreed to take us, she stated all I can do is curl service, I do not do updos or braids. The only bright spot was I was charged $40 instead of $57. Her next appointment did not arrive until 9:19 as she was finishing up. She did tell us her next appointment was at 9am. She greeted Steve with kindness at 9:19. I assumed her 9am was a no show and Steve was her 9:30. I mentioned while checking out that her next appointment must decided not to come. I was told no he was right there. Well either it’s okay for Steve to be late or there was no 9am appointment. Things happen and I usually don’t ever post a negative review. But the unprofessional way in which we were treated deserves to be shared.

Worst haircut I’ve received in decades! I asked Holly to use #5 clippers on the sides and leave an inch and a half on top. She insisted on using scissors for the sides instead of buzzing, the result was splotchy all over, long sides. Holly is also on the shorter side and I had to slouch in the chair and bend my head forward so much it was hard to breath. Absolutely ridiculous. Manager asked if she could fix it but I was too upset to let her have a turn. Why was this simple male haircut such a problem. Never coming back to this location. Would have been a nice regular spot as it’s so close to my home. Stay away from Holly!

We’ve been using this salon/location for over 18 years! Shelly M. Always takes perfect care of us. Getting to see her is like getting to see a member of the family, plus you always walk away with a perfect cut and color!
