I began seeing Alan and Sean back when they had just started Tosler Davis. And although they’ve grown exponentially, the relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere of the salon is still very much part of its charm. Alan is a superb hairstylist and Sean is a magician with color. Even the support staff are talented and personable. Love the place!

I have been a loyal customer of Alan's for almost 20 years. In that time, I have changed my style at least five times, from short to long and back again. Alan always understands the direction I want to go in, and creates flattering looks that last and are easy to maintain. I have also used Sean as my colorist, and have been very happy with the results. Tosler Davis never disappoints.

Senior stylist Thea does an amazing job cutting and shaping my straight hair. The haircut grows out beautifully, too. She’s the best! The salon is a calm, sunny oasis in the Flatiron. I’ve been going there for years. Highly recommend.

Sean Davis is an artist. His skills transformed my drab, greying locks into a new attractive shade, well suited to my coloring, adding fine highlights to brighten the look. When he was finished, I was elated to see myself so stylish and a bit glamorous in a very subtle way.

I have naturally curly auburn hair. Jermina is an artist- cuts it so beautifully that it falls into place whether it is blown or air dried. I also love sitting in the chair and talking with her— the arts, movies, where to go… she knows this city so well. And is very funny too. Adore her and the staff- Vicky, Anitzia ( probably misspelled- my apologies!) beautiful, serene setting too.

I've been seeing Heather for the cezanne/japanese smoothing and hair cuts for years and I cannot say enough good things about her. I have frizzy hair and the smoothing treatment has been life changing. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would.

Last week of May I was in the US for the Graduation of a beloved Nephew . I had been so luck in getting an appointment with Sonia at a last minute attempt. I could remember this fantastic place, the Tosler Davis Hair and just the day before I get the road to New Haven, at a nasty Rainy Saturday morning, my last hope of having my messy hair ( pandemic and grieve were not good to my looks...) looking so much better could came true. Sonia found the best solution to make the color warmer and still respecting my wish of keeping the lighter shade that I adopt since 3 years. She was so friendly, respectful and so good with her skills.Thank you for making Graduation even better!

This is a wonderful place, excellent, professional and friendly. I’ve been coming here for years, working primarily with Sean and Jermina, though would feel comfortable with anyone. Expertly run, no waiting. I don’t leave reviews normally at all, but this is worth the exception!

This is an incredible salon. It's always a pleasure to visit. The staff is impeccably responsive and helpful, and the stylists and colorists are phenomenal. I've worked with Sean and Albert, but I've watched what the others do with other clients and it's always outstanding.

Albert is amazing, meticulous and very talented. Reliable and not full of drama. I think he is amazing for a mens haircut. He did give my wife the best haircut of her life imo, but thats not my review. A color and cut from him makes me pretend i still look good :). Tip: He is getting harder to see these days, so i wouldn’t wait to the very last minute to make a reservation. Which works against my own best interests, but i guess this is what loyal customers do. Argh

Arthur does my hair coloring at Tosler Davis for 5 years and he consistently does an extraordinary job! It is so natural and I get so many compliments on my hair! He helps me look 20 years younger! The staff there is so friendly and the surroundings are beautiful. Great experience every time.

I enjoy working with Heather at Tosler Davis. She's the first stylist to shape bangs that frame my face beautifully and are inspired by the photographs I brought in. The studio is surprisingly quiet - it's situated high enough the city. Feels like a safe oasis to get your hair cared for in peace.

I love Sonia for color and Alan for haircuts. Wish I had them now. Alan and Sean have created a nice relaxed vibe for clients. I love the compliments I used to get on my Hair when I used to go to tosler davis. I am three hours away right now. Or I would still be there. Alan and Sean have created a great relaxed Vibe for clients. I miss Tosler Davis terrific hair coloring and styling. I had to move to Massachusetts so don't get there often enough. I think Tosler Davis is a perfect salon, low key environment. Alan and Sean have created a lovely relaxed vibe in the salon while offering up the best haircuts and color services in New York City!

I've gone to stylists at TD off and on for over 15 years. Because of that range of time, I've seen several different stylists. Every single one has been exceptionally talented and a wonderful person. This salon is hands down the best place for color, highlights, balayage, cuts, and styling.
