My first time hair cut experience was great so I came back for a hair cut but this time it’s a disaster. Save your money DO NOT waste your time for a cut with Franky. I showed him photo references and my hair looks like chopped by knife with uneven lengths so called ‘layers’. $95 for a trashy result does not worth it at all.

AVOID THIS SALON AT ALL COSTS! I had a complete nightmare experience here. I did a text consultation with Krystal, sending photos of my current hair and the cut I wanted. My request was simple: maintain the blonde color I’ve had for over a decade, touch up my roots, and trim the ends. What I got was an absolute disaster. After SIX HOURS in the chair, including four hours of bleaching, the reveal was horrifying. My blonde hair had been transformed into a green-tinted, baby-poop brown. When I expressed my shock, all I got were endless excuses and zero accountability. Krystal said she could fix the problem, they decided to strip the brown color out of my hair and had me under the sink for over an hour. The result? - Breakage all over the top of my head. - weird pink-orange hue with obvious red tinged roots. - Severely dry and damaged hair that keeps breaking - Completely destroyed bangs that now make me look like I have a receding hairline. - My ends? Take a look at the cut. This is a dry cut from their “Master Stylist”. It’s so bad. To make matters worse, Krystal spent the entire time bragging about how much better her techniques and the salon were compared to others, even insulting my previous colorist and stylist. Funny thing is, my previous stylist never ruined my hair. Maybe focus on getting basic blonde color right, Krystal, before bashing the competition. The salon kept insisting I come back to “fix it,” but why would I trust them again after this? It will take over a year of treatments and care to undo the damage they caused. Unless you want your hair completely destroyed, stay far away from this salon. It’s where hair goes to die. Update: Last video shows the sloppiness 🤬

The hair techs Jennay and Ricky did an amazing job on my keratin and cut. Crystal checked in, translated, and knew exactly what I needed. Crystal’s hand was in the entire process. My first experience at Toto coloring my hair and must say it’s a really pleasant feeling. Crystal, Ada and Carmen were so so sweet. They knew the right color to fix my current color and carefully not to break my hair. I had to pick up my kid in between my process and they were very accommodating. They made sure my kid and I were comfortable since it was a long coloring process. They had some suggestions and recommend me how to take care of my hair since I have chronic dandruff issue. I am very satisfied of my result and services. They are kind and patience, good team effort! Overall, I would definitely come back and you should too!

Was recommended by a friend to book a keratin treatment through Crystal and see Jenny. Have had many keratins and Brazilian blowouts but it had been at least a year. Love effect and wash and go of Brazilian Blowout but fumes just so toxic. Used to do Cezanne but stripped by brown hair and made it an awful red. Jenny was meticulous and very sweet. Salon was very clean. Pricing upfront. Added a bonding treatment bc had some broken hairs on crown. Great shampoo and massage. Ventilation area top notch and felt no ill effects at all. Very thorough and even though I left with that super flat straight hair that I don’t love, since washing on day 3 result, it has been amazing as tested by getting caught in the rain and still looking good. Jenny and Crystal were great and will be my new go to place.

I had an amazing experience at Toto Hair! Riki was my hairstylist, and he truly exceeded my expectations. He was incredibly communicative and professional, constantly checking in to ensure I was happy with the progress. The entire staff was welcoming, transparent from the start, and very punctual. They made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I went with a friend, and we both left feeling great. Highly recommend!

I went to Toto hair for a color retouch and when I was there, Crystal recommended the keratin treatment to help hydrate and reduce frizz in my hair and it was the best decision I ever made. Immediately after the keratin treatment; my hair looked a lot healthier and it felt a lot smoother and I love it. Crystal and the rest of the crew treated me with so much care and I will definitely come back! It was such a struggle for me to find a salon with good prices, staff and the results were amazing. Crystal helped me most overall by guaranteeing that I get exactly what I wanted, overall great experience

Hair wash was fine but my problem is with the cut itself. I asked for face framing and long layers (which is what I had before I just needed to freshen up my hair since It got so long) and now my face frame is completely ruined. It was cut way too thick and slightly short/blunt so now it looks like I’m in the awkward phase of growing out bangs. It’s too short to fix now so I’m in complete shambles about this! My layers were also not blended properly so the “face frame” was completely disconnected from the rest of my hair. It looked fine when styled but once I washed my hair I noticed how bad it looked. My hair was also severely thinned out when I told him to blend the layers more. My hairdresser was super nice but the language barrier made it difficult to tell him what I wanted. And now I have to wait god knows how long for my hair to be thick again. Super upset that I now have to wait months for my hair to grow out to fix this.

I ABSOLUTELY love this place. My first time going from a deal I found on Groupon. They were willing to price match. I did the Keratin formaldehyde free treatment. The gentleman that did my hair was a pleasure having treating my hair. He even gave me a complimentary coffee. From the Reception, to the workers and management the service entirely was such a breathe of fresh air. I will be going back, I recommend anyone wanting to do Keratin to please come here.

I also found this place on Tik Tok! Let me start by saying if you’re planning on doing color make sure you let them know when you book your appointment. The color specialist will ask you for pics of your hair and what you plan on doing. Very professional from beginning to end! A receptionist came and quoted me the total price and we went through the plan one more time to make sure we were on the same page. Then they shampooed my hair and it was truly magical. A much needed scalp and neck massage, then they applied the dye and brushed everything out evenly and put me under this cool dryer. Lastly I sat down for my cut & style and wow, the pictures do not even do it justice tbh. At first I thought the hair dresser was not gonna do a good job at blowing my hair out because he was so gentle. (Granted I am used to going to Dominican salons) but he did sooooo good and was very gentle. I only paid $190 after they applied a 15% discount for being a first time customer! I will never go anywhere else this place is amazing.

I came to Toto hair based on positive TikTok reviews for Jason (he doesn’t work there anymore). My experience was not good. Front desk ladies are kind at first and the salon itself is clean and nice. Frankie did my haircut and I hated the entire experience with him. From the start, he brushed my hair very rough and got annoyed when I asked to brush it out myself. I explained I have alopecia so my hair tangles easily and hair loss is a concern of mine. He has a two second consultation with me and starts cutting my hair but he doesn’t talk the entire time & cut more than I asked for. The face framing is cut very choppy, I pointed that out at the end and asked him politely if he could try to soften it. He was able to soften it a little but it’s still not wearable in my natural texture. I will have to wear my hair styled until it grows out for the layers to blend. At the end, I went to pay and they asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. Truthfully I did not as I didn’t enjoy my experience or my haircut but I told them they could add $5.00 to which they responded was not the correct amount to tip. I looked at them and said “I could tip nothing instead”. It wasn’t a good experience with the stylist and it wasn’t a good cut. The cut is $85.00 plus tax and it’s NOT worth it.

I recently had an incredible experience at Toto Hair! From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. Before my appointment, I had a detailed consultation with Crystal via text. She was not only super helpful but also incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to understand my hair needs and suggested alternative solutions to help protect my hair, which really highlighted how much they prioritize hair health. One thing I loved was their honesty – there were no hidden fees or surprise charges like you find at many other salons. What they tell you upfront is exactly what you pay, which made the experience stress-free. Once I arrived at the salon, Sony took over and gave me fantastic service. He was meticulous, paying close attention to every detail. The treatment and haircut he provided were exceptional, by far the best I’ve ever had. I left the salon feeling absolutely thrilled with my new look and grateful for the care and expertise I received. I highly recommend Toto Hair to anyone looking for top-quality hair care!

It was my first time going here, and I’ve been on the hunt for a trusted salon and stylist since my last one moved out of the city. I saw Toto had good reviews, so I gave it a shot—only to leave in tears and completely heartbroken. I’ve never had that negative of a salon experience until now, and it saddens me to be making this review, as I’m not the type to ever really leave bad reviews, but I know doing so may help others out there. I’ve attached photos of my hair before my appointment, the hairstyle/inspo pic I referenced and showed the stylist twice, and the haircut I actually got. I think it’s very obvious how different the haircut is from the reference photo. They cut off way too much, and despite the amount of detail and precision the stylist *seemed* to be demonstrating, the side views (i.e. the section by my ears) are very uneven from one another and it’s simply just not what I asked for. Looking back at how I had a lot of hair and length to work with before my appointment, it pains me to see that a lot of that just ended up on the floor. All my volume and thickness gone. When they fetched me to begin my appointment, Crystal (one of the people at the front) consulted me about what hairstyle and cut I was looking for, and was relaying everything I was saying to my stylist, Norway, who was also there with us. That consultation made me feel confident that she understood what I was asking for, so I didn’t feel any worries going into my session. I’m not sure what could have been misinterpreted, but I wish that, if my stylist was confused about anything, he could have clarified and asked in the 2 hours he spent cutting my hair. As a customer, once you’re sat in the chair and they start cutting away, there’s no way of telling what they’re doing until they finish, so I don’t think there was any opportunity for me to have stopped to say something and check in to make sure he was still on the same page, especially since he did ask me to show the image to him again. I can understand if he was still a junior stylist, but I had booked a haircut with a Master stylist specifically—so I’m just a little lost as to how this haircut unfolded. I brought it up with the front desk ladies once he finished, and though I appreciate that they showed concern and also agreed that the haircut was not anywhere close to the reference image at all, they could not offer me a refund (saying they were closing and that the account had already been closed?) nor any other solutions (since my hair was cut so short, they didn’t know what they could do.) I was able to at least ask that my tip be given fully to the lady that washed my hair, as she really did a good job. Besides that, all they offered was a bigger discount at my next appointment, which I’m not sure would really compensate for the major blow it caused to my self-esteem and confidence. Also, not sure I even feel comfortable going back. At the very least, not with this stylist anyway. My intention with this review is simply to provide full transparency on my first experience at Toto. It’s just unfortunate that it had to be under such circumstances. I initially settled on 1 star, but bumped it to 2 because the staff I encountered were friendly, and the place was clean and well-maintained. Just the actual haircut did not meet my expectations. With that, if you’re looking into booking your first appointment, especially if you have short hair, I would do it over the phone and specifically mention your hair length, in the hopes they schedule you with a stylist experienced with cutting short hair. Looking back, I wish that was something I did and something I’m sure they might have been able to accommodate too. Just really unfortunate things turned out the way they did for my first experience here :(

The first time I got my haircut here I loved it. Then the second time I came back a few months later I had a different stylist and didn’t like it as much. It looked a bit choppy and uneven, and when I asked to get it fixed, I was nervous about having the same stylist fix my hair. However Crystal was super understanding and helped me schedule my appt to fix my hair with the person who cut my hair the first time. Overall affordable, good haircuts, and great service!

The salon was extremely clean and welcoming! Crystal spoke with me about my Keratin options and we decided the best approach for the length and texture of my hair. The salon gave a great wash and then protected my eyes when working with the keratin. The keratin has already lasted a few months and I don’t see it washing out for another few more. They even let me work on my laptop while they worked on my hair - and provided wifi. Amazing experience and I will be back.
