First time there was great. Second NOT so much. Very rude and tried to overcharge me after service even when providing me a price prior to service . Changing my review. Sorry do better, my sista. Meant to update a while ago.

My first time going to this salon. The staff was very nice and attentive. I will definitely go back. They moved quickly and made sure I was satisfied. The price was great for the style and length I wanted.

Received braids with extensions they were definitely overpriced I was there 4 hrs and was charged 150 about $40 per hr. I had purchased my own hair. She was very unprofessional talking on the phone very loud throughout my service. No communication with the clients at all. Didn't render me the style I requested. I Will not be referring anyone to Touba African Shop ever nor will I be returning.

The lady that runs rhe shop is very rude and unprofessional. She never has change to give back to the pauing chstomer unless it's an African like her. She sat and lied to my face and said she didn't have change when i watched her give an African change from doing her hair. Best believe i will not be back there.

I got there at 7:30 a.m. i left at 8:00p.m. I got twist and my side and back is shaved so it shouldn't took as long. They stop to eat. They will stop working on your head half finished and start working on somone else hair and will leave you sitting for hours with a half done head. They bring there infant babies to work and have to stop a lot to care for their babies. They eat with their hands while doing your hair. Touch food and braiding your hair as they eat with their hands. The babies was crawling on the floor eating dirty paper Loose Hair dirty toys I don't understand why they didn't bring a playpen for the children to play in so they wouldn't interfere with the work that they were doing to the people's hair you have customers sitting holding the braiders babies and watching and feeding them. Outrageous it was totally ridiculous totally unprofessional and I personally would not recommend them to no one

Will never go here again. She messed my hair up and was literally rushing to do it. On top of that she wasn’t very respectful of my time and when my usual loctitian got back in town she couldn’t believe what this lady did to my hair.

First things first....my wife made an app for 9am. I got her there on time. The shop hour said they opened at 8:30. They were not. She called standing in the rain to see what the issue was and why they were not there, the shop manager said that she called the number that my wife called from and got no answer. That was a lie! We waited until she and her assistant got there at 9:45. Second...from the time my wife sat down until we left...(wife's words) she was on the phone talking to everyone, she only asked me what color hair and she was rushing me with that, then she ate her apples while the assistant coughed and never covered her mouth or turn away from me,not to mention that the manager had to make a food run after being late, after she comes back and they stopped to eat. They finish and get back to my hair for a little, then the manager/stylist proceeded to head to the bathroom and was undressing before she got in and never closed the door,we could hear her pee, my husband says he almost saw her you know what. Third...the manager/stylist stopped working on my hair to talk on the phone sitting in a chair across from me, pulled her shirt/dress up and exposed her breast and had no shame, like my husband wasn't sitting there...Fourth....they did not braid the micros far enough, leaving stray ends, i can only wear it in a ponytail. They tied it at the point were the braid stops.! Who does this? Then they both grab scissors and I was thinking that they were fixing the frays by cutting them but they didn't. The stylist asks if I want it up and I said yes. I was ready to go. One braided too tight and the other was not so much. Not a good place. I won't be going back. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. No, I'm not hating on them. Just speaking the truth. They need to do better and be more professional in the shop, take better care of their bathroom. Personal Hygiene is a must if you are going to be in someone's personal space like that please take better care of yourself. (Husband's words) I just paid 160.00$ to hear my wife complain all night when she usually does it for free.

Ok, so the only good thing I have to say is that the braids are really pretty. That's it. First off I made an appointment with a braider and asked was 12 o clock ok? She replied yes, and then told me to come at 9am!? I arrive and she is braiding some other woman's hair with another braider. When she starts my hair, it's 10 o clock am! She braids the front of my head half way, bc I got long box braids, then after she's done with the section, she goes back and braids them all the way down. Which I feel takes longer. But after she finishes the front part of my hair, she tells me that she had an emergency, she needs to go, but could I pay now? I paid her, bc they have sign posted around the shop saying that payment is expected before the service is done. And she leaves. She tells me that another braider, that currently working on someone else head will finish with that client, then come braid my hair. I go sit on the couch and ended up falling asleep from the wait which was like and Hr and a half. And when I woke up, she told me that she was coming after she got herself something to eat. So I continue to wait and then finally stylist number 2 starts working on my head. Myself and another woman were in there perspiring and had already removed our jackets, so I finally told them that it was hot. She then turns on the air. Stylist number 3 finishes her clients hair and comes to help number 2 with my hair for like 15mins then When number 2 assists a client taking out her braids and leaves number 3 working on my hair by herself. Number 3s son is running around me, bumping into me and she has to stop often to correct his wandering curious mind. She finally finished adding hair into my head, then takes another hr to cut off fly ends and finish braiding hair down. I let her know that my hair was really tight and she kept pulling my braids and apologizing when I jumped around in the chair. I'm Unsatisfied bc. They didn't braid my hair all the way down and my ends look undone. And when she finally finished at 6 o clock, I left with wet hair. I paid $180 and I'll never go back. I literally was holding back tears on my way out the door as it hurt to walk bc my braids were so tight, and my scalp was burning. It took all day, an Hr nap, $180 and 3 braiders to finish my look and now I'm unable to sleep on it. I can't wait until it loosen so I can go back and get them to braid my hair all the way down to prevent braids from unraveling. After that - I'll never go back, ever! I am a proud braid wearer, it's generally my go to style and these are entirely too tight. I've never been unable to sleep on braids after getting them done. I am also not tender headed! I usually braid my own hair, but it takes me 13 Hr to do it, so I was trying to catch a break and have them do it for me and now I just wished that I had done my hair myself.
