I went to this shop last minute before my vacation and it was awful. With the style I was asking for was not done with the correct hair..she burned the ends(which were "twist" instead of dipping in hot water..none of them were the same size and I was in some much pain not to mention I had developed large bumps and the twist started coming a loose on the second day..so needless to say i was miserable on my vacation. I called to see if I could get my money back and she denied me a refund..I still now have healing scabs and I hope they are put out of business..I plan to take them to small claims court.

I have been to this place of business a few times in the past. The first couple times they did a nice job, but their scheduling and timeliness is always very inconsistent. I scheduled an appointment last March and came in and they told me to sit down and wait because their sister had not arrived yet to braid my hair. After 30 minutes, she had never arrived, and I asked what was going on and they said “I’m sorry she’s not coming.” I decided to give them another try yesterday. I wanted to get two French braids. When I arrived there was one person working in the shop and she was asleep on their sofa. She said that she could do my hair immediately and rushed through my hair which looked every bit of a very sloppy “rush job.” The parting wasn’t crooked and not precise and she straightened my hair with blow dryer, but then slapped an enormous amount of gel on it and sprayed Pump it Up spritz on my hair and put me under dryer ....Voila! looked a mess!! She did a complete rush job and took my money. While getting my hair braided, I asked what happened to the owner and other sisters and she informed me that they had all moved back to New York. That is why the quality of service has gone down. I won’t be returning.

So i decided to go back to get my hair down two weeks ago from the owner but she was out of town i really didnt trust no one else doing my hair but one of the custiomers there said they do a good job. I should ve followed my mind to just wait my hair is very loose like i had it up for months and i been getting the same braids for years. I really hate i paid my money no way my braid should look old all ready and i plan to get it down to go out of town. Now im looking for another style

Been going here for about 7 years now, off and on. They've always done a great job. I actually did a walk-in for some micros about six weeks ago and the ladies got started on my head right away. I'm not tender headed, so the small pulls here and there because 2 people are in my head doesn't bother me. Still getting compliments today on my hair.

It was absolutely horrible. I only came in to get my hair taken down and it took forever because i had 3 people in my head having 3 different phone conversations. When i 1st walked in they looked at me like i was freaking lost even tho i made an appt. 1st and LAST time. They ar the rudest Africans I have ever had an encounter with. Smh

EXTREMELY unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend a animal to go there. Some of my braids are bigger than the others.. Around my EGDES too. The lady was yanking my head around and had a nasty attitude when I confronted her about it. Some of my braids are almost beginning to fall out and its only been two weeks. Please DO NOT waste your time and money coming here! I would have gave them a zero star if I could.

I didn't want to give them one star but in order to leave a comment I had to. But anyway I took my daughter to get braids and on their fb page it said something about a discount. When I called she said yes there will be a discount applied to your service. So I got there and just to be clear I asked again about the discount and she said it only applies if you brought your own hair strike one. So my daughter has natural hair and it is very ver course, the lady had a small comb trying to comb through her hair. I took the comb and told her you can't use a small comb on her type of hair. She had a look on her face as if she didn't want to be doing hair that's why I took the comb and tried to explain to her that particular comb would hurt her. So she go an attitude with me and I told the other women in the shop this person will not be doing her hair. So the other women began braiding her hair I left and I'm like I'm not going to spend all this money and then they talk to me with disrespect. So I went back and got my child and she tried to charge me for a bag of hair I said I think not cause you only did two braid and I left. But check out there fb page the picture they post are not all that hot and the attitude they dish out matches their work a mess.

My Experience Was Absolutely Horrible. I Called In To Get 6 French Braids And The Lady Told Me It Would Be 60-80 Depending On The Length. I Get There And She Says Oh No I'' Sorry I Always Say Wrong Price Its 120 So I Said Ok That's Fine. She Had To Restart My Braids 4 Times Until She Finally Decided To Do An Underbraid And That's Exactly What I Told Her I Did Not Want. I Had To Catch A Plane So I Just Left It Be. This Lady Put So Much Jam In My Hair It Was Wet For 2 Days Even After I Tried Blow Drying Jam Would Still Be On My Pillow When I Woke Up With A Scarf On. Will Never Be Returning Expected Much More From This Place. It Was Nice And Clean But The Service Was Very Unsatisfying.

This was a last minute appointment. I was very appreciative of that but concerned at the same time that it was Friday and no one else was there but me. After waiting until the lady prayed, breastfeed her baby, separated the hair she started on my hair about 40 minutes after I arrived. Oh I can't forget while separating the hair she was into one of her African movies so I took her even longer to finish separating because she was watching TV. In the end my hair came out a mess. I'm natural so of course I knew it wouldn't look great but after she finished powering on all the gel my hair look like it had been done for almost two weeks and I had touched it up myself with gel. I will not recommend them and neither will I go back.

I recently got my hair braided there and I am satisfied with the outcome. It was a last-minute decision because I really needed/wanted my hair braided so I called in and Touba was really nice and told me I could come the same day. When I got there it was a brief wait because she was working on someone else. To cut through the case my hair is beautiful and she was very conversational which I've never received getting my hair braided. The price is reasonable, and I will be back.
