He put a lot of care into styling it, and it turned out just how I imagined. He paid close attention to detail and made sure nothing was missed. He was also really kind and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. I had high expectations after reading and hearing so many good reviews, and he definitely didn’t disappoint. Really happy with the result and will definitely be back!

Truly one of the worst experience. First of all, when Touru washed my hair, he used too much force and pushed too hard. He also got some water on my face which is so annoying. Then the cut is very mediocre and didn't turn out nice at all. Because of that, I gave a lower tip amount (10%) because I didn't think he deserved that. But then he insisted that I pay him at least 15-20% tip because it's the "standard". I told you no I couldn't justify myself to do that, and he got so angry at me. Will never come back.

Apparently he had been a beautician in Japan for a long time, and he paid attention to the details, so I was very satisfied with the results. Touru can speak Japanese fluently, so I would highly recommend him to Japanese people who are not confident in their English when it comes to hair styling.

One of the biggest gripes I've had whenever I'd go to get my hair done is the "Oh you might not fit that hair style" when I tell someone that I want to go for a particular look. Touru did not even hesitate and he went to work. He pulled off the hair style that I had in mind, according to my face shape and he explained what was gonna make it work. I've had my hair super long because I've had nothing but sub-par experiences but he blew those experiences out of the water. Happy to come back!

I was very nervous to try a new hair stylist but touru was understanding of what I was trying to go for. I wanted a low maintenance haircut and to keep it long since i want long hair again. He took that into consideration and gave me a haircut that with some texture and layers. My hair feels very light and manageable now!

I came by here after doing some extensive research on trying to get those messy hairstyles I see on social media. I went to a salon before this and while it was great, it did not meet my expectations. After entering, Touru immediately assisted me and made sure to take the time to hear everything I wanted to say as well as my past hair history. I had very damaged hair that was also tangled due to circumstances, yet Touru was very understanding and did not judge at all. In fact, he gave advice to help my hair while supporting the goals I had for it. He even gave product recommendations! He made sure to be completely attentive and used his renowed experience to give me suggestions on what fit my hair. I am so so satisfied with how my hair came out and I would 100% come back for a haircut. Edit: prices were a lot more reasonable for the quality you get in comparasion to other salons, very happy with that.

Touru is simply the best. As an Asian man who has been disappointed by so many barbers and hairstylists, I am so relieved to say that my search is finally over! As someone who was used to getting their haircut by “fancy” overpriced barbers, taking a chance on Touru is the best decision I’ve made for my hair. I was rocking a shaved head all summer and had been growing it out during the fall. It was a total mess and I didn’t really have a direction I wanted to take it in. (See video) Before my appointment I took pic from Pinterest and brought it in. Touru took a quick look at the photo and the rest was history. Something I appreciated about Touru compared to a barber shop was his gentleness. Not only in their touch on my head, but also the gentleness when using clippers. My usual experience with barbers is rough and aggressive like I just got my hair cut by a lawn mower. After the cut, he washed my hair and to my surprise continued to cut a bit more post wash, which I very much appreciated! After the cut, I could tell Touru was super invested on how I liked the cut and asked me earnestly several times as I was preparing to leave. This made me feel like I was more than just another customer of the day and Touru wanted me to love the service they were providing. Price for the men’s cut was $50 pre tip, more than worth the value! Cash only btw
