awesome place!!! I walked in (scheduled appointment) and they took me right away with no wait. Candice dyed and trimmed my hair and i was more pleased with it than I thought I’d be! She nailed exactly what I had asked for and I love it 😙 place was clean, decorated cool, and had the music to fit it perfectly. Definitely come here 100% Edit: 3 years later and this is still my preferred hair salon

They are nice to a certain point. They are nicer if you personally know them. Yes you get the outcome you want but they don't get it there with the health of your hair in mind. I say it's overly priced for their services, but giving 3 stars for yes I got the color I wanted and at least they kept a friendly attitude during my visit. When i went home had to chop my hair a good amount to keep the healthy part with color and get rid of the fried areas. My hair was below my waist and had to cut it just above my shoulder. I came to this shop based on pics and reviews I saw for this salon. Paid $400+

Such a Nice and Cool environment. They do AMAZING here from cut to color and nails which is my next goal. I am a life time customer. My needs and wants were addressed, since I'm older and wanted something cool ,stylish and age appropriate Candice took care of me spot on. My Daughter has her hair colored by Cameron and I don't go too far at all by saying These Girls are SKILLED. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I love love love Toxic for Vivids. There isn't a stylist there that isn't insanely talented. They are very knowledgeable about alternative hairstyles and color theory. They are everything I've ever wanted in a salon. The most important things aside- the shop is very cutesy-horror. The music is always amazing, and the staff are so welcoming and honest about their limitations and providing realistic expectations. They made my purple grown out mess into the most beautiful blue melt I've ever seen. I saw Cassidy for this one, but every time I've gone in I've seen everyone doing their thing and doing it well.

My daughter Hannah has been coming here for 4 years now, she was 14 years old on her first visit and now about to turn 18. Every single time she comes back out, because I wait outside.. She has a super cute cut, or color, even had a cheetah print done once. She steps out of the salon with a huge smile, confidence in her step, and always great style. Love this place!!

Ive got my hair cut by Larissa a couple times now and she always does a great job! i have semi-curly hair and she took it into account when cutting it. I have a mullet esc haircut :) (I have asked about haircolor but the prices are too high for me personally)

needed a chop now that the summer heat has been really bothering me. the inside was well decorated and lively ! my stylist was finishing up another cut when i got there so i didn't have to wait too long ! i brought several reference pictures of what i wanted and left the chair lighter and happier than ive felt in months ! starting price for a specialty cut was 55$ so it wasnt breaking the bank too bad. I hear a nice high quality color appointment is well within the hundreds, so ill stick to ion hair dye and prayers haha !

i was referred here by a friend and i’m so glad i came. i don’t wanna go anywhere else, everyone is so kind and Cam who did my hair was the sweetest. she cared about what i wanted and communicated very well to make sure i got the results i wanted. couldn’t be happier. 10/10!!!!!

One of the best hair salons in San Antonio. Fourth or fifth visit, great job. Use to come up from Laredo and now we make the trip from Austin for a perfect hair treatment… Thank you Ms Larissa for a perfect job. Toxic hair salon has the vibes!😀 Highly recommended 👍

Chass did an amazing job, and not only that, they were so inviting and welcoming. Very considerate of what I wanted and executed it artfully and with precision. I have never walked away from a haircut feeling happy, but Chass changed that, and I am so pleased with the entire experience. The vibes and atmosphere of the studio were really cool, too. I will definitely be coming back to see Chass.

Cameron was very friendly and welcoming. She was up front with hair color expectations and prices. The other staff were also sweet and welcoming. The environment was very chill. There was decent parking considering how many businesses were in the same location. I definitely will go back for future funky colors.

I tipped 20% after my first haircut here and scheduled 2nd haircut on the spot. Wasn’t worthy to get same hairdresser for the second and last haircut though.

I’ve been going to toxic salon for almost two years now and Candice has been coloring my hair ever since! She is honestly the best she listens to you and over all makes you feel comfortable <3 I’ll never go anywhere else for color or hair cut, my color will last me months and still look vibrant ;)

Went in several weeks ago for cut and partial bleach/color. The girl (Candace or Candice) was super nice but she effed up my hair. Color was fine, but she didn't put petroleum or anything on my face/ear to protect from color, then when she tried to get the color off my face, she scrubbed so hard that she rubbed my skin raw and it scarred. I have curly hair but sometimes wear it straight, which we discussed. She cut my hair dry, which was weird enough, but she also blunt cut it which you DO NOT do to curly hair. I didn't know until after, and they were closed by that point. It was also crooked which I pointed out and I thought she (and another girl that she called over to help her) fixed, but when I got home and properly straightened it I could see it was still crooked. Asked for long layers and a face frame and it was all off and def not symmetrical/even. Also, she told me it would be $150 for color, and $60 for the cut but somehow it came out to $253 before taxes and minus the deposit. Like ??? Where did the extra charge come from $$?? Idk why I tipped her $40. Probably because she was staring at me the whole time I was on the tip part of payment. Anyway, if you want a mullet or some other alt-cut where it doesn't matter if your hair is uneven, you're fine, but otherwise, I'd stay away. They did refund me the cut money but even without that it was way too expensive for the work that was done.

haircuts here are amazing ! seriously love what they do. i do however have an issue with an appointment i had a few months back when i got my highlights + color touched up alongside a trim. didn’t expect it to exceed $250 since my hair wasn’t long (above my chest), but i got charged double ! there was no discussion about how much this was going to cost. i of course paid $30 deposit and tipped so it came out to way more. i do come here for my hair cuts but anything color is very expensive … :,^(

I took my kid here. I don't think they've ever felt as good about a haircut in their life. The pure joy on my kid's face when they saw the final product was worth every penny. Candace did a great job.

I have had a hard time finding a place that does the specific haircut I wanted for literal years, I gave up on going to salons of any kind for two years. Scrolling on tiktok I came across this one, and booked an appt after seeing the videos and reviews. I can't tell you how nervous I was to get my haircut but my stylist (Jen) made me feel more at home and comfortable. Jen listened to everything I said and my haircut couldn't be more spot on than what I wanted, walking out I felt like someone will a million bucks. Definitely coming back in the future :)

I went in not knowing what I needed for my haircut and asked for advice from Larissa. She was very friendly and knew what my hair needed. I actually have a fear of going to any salon from past bad service experiences (bad experiences happened at other salons, not toxic salon) and Larissa made me feel at ease. I really appreciate the atmosphere she helped create. I’m super ecstatic over my new haircut as well. Thank you, Larissa. You are doing a wonderful job. ^_^

first time going to this place. the atmosphere was nice and the stylist try to make small talk to make the mood most comfortable to me. when we got to my hair the stylist asked me how short I wanted my hair and I said maybe 2 inches below my shoulder she cut a test strip which is the exact length I wanted. when she finished cutting and styling my hair it was waaaay shorter than I wanted, it was above my shoulders, the face framing was short, the only thing I like about my hair is the amount layers she put in the back. once she was finished and I was ringed up to the cash register, I was charger $59.54 !!! before I booked the appointment I asked how much a hair cut would cost which was $27 - $60. too expensive for the kind of haircut I got.
