Charlee is the best! My favorite hair stylist of all time. She always does an amazing job and she makes me feel pretty after every appointment. All the stylists here are so nice and friendly! I absolutely recommend this place.

It's rare that I leave a bad review but the unprofessionalism of this salon should be called out. I had an appointment set up that was moved three times by the stylist Cat. I decided to not reschedule for a fourth time (she did offer my cut would be free) and instead I tried to connect with the salon through multiple ways (phone, Facebook message, email) to find a different stylist. Not a single response from the studio. My initial thought was it's just the stylist being unprofessional, but it's obvious it's the nature of this salon. Very unfortunate for them.

After relocating to South Carolina, I met with a string of stylists who quite literally destroyed my hair. I was left with brassy, broken hair and terrible haircuts. It didn’t matter the price point, I was always disappointed. Enter in Alicia Munday. Alicia is sweet, kind and “gets” her blondes. In three sessions, she TRANSFORMED my hair. After working with Alicia for almost a year, I was heartbroken to learn that she was relocating to Charlotte, NC. Tribe is so lucky to get her! Is Alicia worth driving 200 miles for? In my book, the proof is in the pictures. :)

I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Taylor at Tribe Salon has been doing my hair for about 4 years now and is AMAZING! She does a wonderful job and is so easy to hangout with while I get my services. Thanks for everything you do!! Also, the space is cute, modern and very clean. Great atmosphere!

My first time at the salon yesterday. Easy to find, plenty of parking and a great atmosphere. My stylist, Alicia M, was FANTASTIC! Took time to listen to what I wanted and made suggestions based on that. She was so sweet, did an amazing job, and most importantly, I LOVE my hair! Will be back as a permanent client.

Brandy Lowder did an updo for a wedding. It stayed up all night and looked just how it did when she finished. I was in love with what she did and it looked great in photos. I’ll definitely be going back to Brandy!

Madison Hayes and Catie Creamer are literal hair goddesses!! They both are incredibly talented and always make sure to leave me feeling so taken care of. Whenever I’m in the salon they are so sweet and make my experience beyond anything I could ever expect. Every time I leave if I ever have any questions they are quick to respond and make sure to always get me in as soon as they can! I saw a review down below where someone was trying to book and didn’t hear back immediately. This is so common with any profession if you want someone who is quality!!! So I do want to note that they are both very busy and are the most popular stylists in Charlotte so I recommend booking in advance if you’re interested! Also, they specialize in hand tied extensions which is hard to find in Charlotte! Honestly a god send to have found them both!

I absolutely LOVE tribe. Madison Hayes is the kindest, most understanding, and professional hair stylist I have ever been to. I started going to madsion two years ago with damaged yellow blonde hair, in desperation to find someone to restore my broken hair. I look forward to getting my hair done because madison knows what she’s doing! She is honest and kind to her clients, but she ALWAYS makes sure that I walk out of that salon with happy and healthy blonde hair. Not only have I found my favorite stylist, but I have gained a friend ❤️ In addition, her assistant (now stylist) has always brought so much joy to every one of my appointments. These girls are so kind and genuinely want the best for their clients. If you’re looking for a stylist, Madison Hayes is your girl. Thankful to have such an amazing person work her magic on my hair!

Adding onto my review considering the trash response from the salon, see Hailley’s review. I love the blatant disregard for your stylist and ‘assistants’ lack of professionalism discussing how to use a fake id with a first time client. I went during a weekday. This wasn’t some random off day. I’m fine being left alone but I have a rack of bleach on my head that can easily damage my scalp and hair with no professional checking on it & I left with half a head of PURPLE hair. This is not good service. This salon is a joke.

Found this salon on IG and went to a stylist based on her portfolio. When I arrived she was no where to be found and the only other person/stylist in the building completely ignored me when I tried to say hello and who I was there for. I messaged my stylist on ig after several minutes alone and she finally came down to the front entrance. She had another woman with her and announced she’d be ‘helping her’. Considering I was getting a root touch up and tone that seemed unnecessary but this was my first visit with her. The application of the bleach was easy enough but then I was left alone in this house/salon with no heads up while the stylist and her friend/helper left for 30 minutes. It was a ghost town. Eventually they return and take me to the sink to wash my hair and apply the toner. Again I was left alone in this ghost town this time with a toner left on my hair. Once back to the sink the helper started asking me about if she would pass for sneaking into a bar (for Halloween) with her friends id as she was under 21. Completely unprofessional all together. Eventually my hair was dried she sent me out the door stating to contact her 1-2 weeks before I needed another touch up. Once I got home I saw that the top half of my head was toned and a bright white color and the lower half was literally a blue/violet. When I messaged the stylist a photo on IG she was unapologetic and didn’t see any issue with the color. Eventually she offered to strip the purple toned area and reapply a proper toner but my schedule didn’t have time to fit her in so I figured I’d let it fade and get it done again in 6 weeks. 4 weeks rolls past and I IG message her trying to book only to be left on read for days. I saw she had her number on her profile and texted her. She responded asking when I wanted to get in and at that point it was a week out. She claimed she was booked and asked what other December days I could do. I gave another week out of options and she responded that ‘December was pretty busy for her and if I could look into January’. I responded along the lines of do you have any December dates as the only reason I waited so long to book was because you told me to message you 1-2 weeks in advance. She left me on read again and never responded. I’ve never encountered such an unprofessional stylist in my life. Ignore the clearly photoshopped ig photos and go to someone trust worthy and professional.

Called up Tribe for the first time and made an appointment. Saw the great reviews so I was pumped to try it - even left work a little early to get there for a 5pm appointment. When I got there, I stood at the “reception” desk (no one was there) and watched everyone milling around the salon. After about 5 minutes, a guy told me that they didn’t really have a receptionist, but they had “waiting tables.” So I sat and again watched people float around without anyone acknowledging me. Finally, 15 mins later, I grabbed a girl that looked like she worked there and told her the situation. She explained that there’s no receptionist and all of the stylists are self employed (not unusual in the salon business, but still really weird to be almost entirely ignored by the staff). She wandered around trying to figure out who my appointment was with and finally figured out it was the guy who originally told me to sit down. He was in the middle of another appointment and seemed to have no idea that he had someone scheduled at 5. It was completely bizarre and I most definitely do not think that they are interested in or able to accommodate new business.

Tribe salon is clean, friendly and beautifully decorated. The staff there is very knowledgeable and sweet. Yvette especially really made my hair look outstanding! She did exactly what I wanted but made it 10x better (I got a cut and color). I have gotten so many compliments about it. I would highly recommend!!

Sandy bixby is a very rude representative of this company. A great company however. When she comes in my business she treats my employees like they are inferior. Shes very inconsiderate, if u see her at the salon she is very nice. Nice at work but inconsiderate to others while they are at work.

Very modern and cozy place, with highly kind and skilled staff. I recommend this place and the professional way of the people working there. I thanks Rodney for his excellent skills, patience and way of being able to accommodate my "not so flexible" working schedule. Highly recommended!
