Buckle up guys, this is a tale... I really debated leaving this review because it's a small business, but I've been steaming about my experience for the past 3 days and determined I'd be remiss in not informing other people to avoid this establishment like the plague. I have had many Brazilians done over the years, and not just here in SC (with some not-so-great experiences sprinkled in there)... that being said, this was by far THE WORST Brazilian I've ever had in my 10+ years of getting them! a) the esthetician was applying the wax while it was EXTREMELY hot--I told her and she brushed me off: "oh, it's just because I recently waxed close to that area"--no it wasn't; it really was scalding. b) there were a TON of hairs left over afterwards, and I'm not talking about like 10 or 15--more like 40 or 50--because she was in such a DAMN RUSH, she kept ripping off the wax too quickly and broke off a bunch of hairs that she had to tweeze after (which was another terrible ordeal to sit through, 20+ minutes of getting tweezed), AND SHE STILL LEFT A TON OF HAIR ON MY BUM... it's funny to say, but I'm furious I have to now do cleanup waxing on myself because of her incompetence. c) she left behind a TON of wax because she only VERY briefly swiped everything down with a baby wipe. No oil, no hydrocortisone cream to help with the irritation she caused, NOTHING. I could feel myself sticking walking around afterwards and had to do a ton of clean up when I got home! d) the icing on the cake was the fact that she knew she did a dreadful job and was apologizing profusely at the end, but only deigned to give me a lousy $5 off. Ladies (and gents), if I hadn't been paying with a gift card (that I bought myself), I promise you I would have refused to pay for this service. It was THAT BAD. I just wanted to get as far away from Tried And True Beauty as possible to go home and cry. I'm flabbergasted as to how this business has almost 5 stars after I visited. If I could, i would leave this place 0 stars for the abysmal quality of service and terrible customer care. If you value your lady (or dude) bits, stay far away from this place for waxing services (though I'm skeptical of the rest of their services too). There are way better places in the Columbia area to get a wax where you won't be treated like an afterthought.

I had been to other electrologists in Oregon before coming to Tried & True Beauty. After my first session (years ago), I knew this was where I wanted to get treated every time I came to South Carolina. Tried & True Beauty is up to date with the technology and is very particular. The environment is clean (sterilizing the equipment, cleaning, etc.), and the whole staff will even go out of their way to make you comfortable with the treatment/s (Explaining everything thoroughly). They are very knowledgeable and professional. I can’t think of anything I want to improve; everything is perfect. I will continue to make sure I go out of my way and have my electrolysis done at Tried & True Beauty whenever I am in town/state. Very Pleased customer!

I had my first session of electrolysis here last week. The atmosphere is so friendly and relaxing and the lady that done my electrolysis was super sweet. She was focused the entire session and you can tell she takes pride in her work. I was kinda nervous about the pain but it wasn't bad at all. She starts on a low setting and works you up to a setting that's tolerable for you. I found them on google and they're like an hour and a half from my house but I was so pleased with the service that I'll gladly make that drive bi-weekly. If I could give them 10 stars I would!! I already see so much improvement to the treated area after only ONE session!

I absolutely love Ms, Sherry I’ve been 1 of her clients for 2 yrs now at Tried and True Beauty and I’ve seen the growth of this business and I must say she NEVER disappoint. Everything about her is AWSOME! Thank you for taking care my bodily needs! I have been going to Tried and true beauty now for over 4 months for electrolysis services. I am an African American women that have very coarse and thick facial hair that was beginning to become unmanageable. Since my electrolysis treatments, I am seeing phenomenal improvement in facial hair reduction and texture of the hair. Sherry, my Electrologist, is by far the best. Her professionalism and knowledge regarding my skin care plan, expectations regarding electrolysis treatments and outcome during this process of hair removal is top notch and contributes to the success of the treatments. Tried and True Beauty is the best in Midlands!!! I highly recommend their services.

Sherry is amazing!!!!! She did my facial and I left feeling amazing. My skin was so soft and refreshed. I also purchased some of her skincare line and just within 3 days of use my skin has softened drastically. I give them 5 Stars!!!!!!!!!

I am EXTREMELY satisfied with the infusion facial I received on yesterday by the talented Moniquè Dammond. She was super sweet and professional the entire time. I didn't know what an infusion facial even was but she talked the process to me the entire time. It's a day later and my skin feels absolutely AMAZING!! I highly recommend anyone to go to Tried & True Beauty; the owner Sherry is a total sweetheart an loves what she does and it shows through her staff!! I will most definitely be back.

What an amazing experience for a first timer like me!!! Because this was my first time I was a tad bit nervous (really petrified lol), but Moniqué and Ms Sherry made my visit amazing. The atmosphere was comfortable, relaxing, and super clean. After they explained everything to me I begin to relax. Moniqué was very professional and quick. She talked me though the process and made sure I was always ok. Before I knew it the Brazilian wax was over and I realized I worked myself up for nothing. I was definitely satisfied with my service and will be back real soon.

I simply love this location. When you walk in it is so peaceful and calming. Sherry really helped me with an issue I have been having with my skin, and she really knows her work. Sherry is very professional! I totally enjoyed my experience with her. Her studio is super cute, clean and comfortable. Sherry is very knowledgable in the skill of makeup artistry! I would definitely return!! Oh and My face was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!
