Bad business practice: The braiding stylist Sherell is a good braider but has terrible business etiquette. My family and I have been LOYAL customers for the past three years. My 4 children have been going to get their hair braided every 2-3 weeks and I have occasionally got my hair done by her. This past week her actions were totally appalling! On Wednesday, Aug 30 I texted her to request an appointment for all 4 of my children to get their braided Tuesday, Sept 5 for back to school. She responded " yes I can do their hair Tuesday at 9:30 in the morning" I responded "Thank you" and she responded " You're welcome" The night before ( Monday, Sept. 4 at 6:19pm )my children's appointment I received a text from Sherell that stated, " Hey Jameelah, wasn't sure if you guys were aware of the fee for coming in on my off days. I apologize if I didn't tell you guys sooner, but it'll be a fee of $150 to come in on my days off." I responded for clarification "So it's $150 on top of the cost of the style?" She responded, "Yes!" I informed her I wasn't aware of this price and the last time, which was Tuesday, December 20, she did their hair on a Tuesday she charged $50. I let her know my children would not be coming in to get their hair done. She said, oh yes, since then my prices increased." I was beyond frustrated because it is unacceptable to inform your LOYAL customers of a substantial price increase the evening before they are scheduled to come in. Sherell should had informed me when I booked the appointment of the price increase to give me adequate time to make other arrangements. However, this isn't the first time she has done this! Her pricing for hair styles are inconsistent. It's unreasonable for a business owner to change pricing without prior notice, especially for loyal customers. Prices should be communicated clearly and in advance of the appointment. Furthermore, Sherell's inconsistent appointment management and last-minute changes are unprofessional. I have made appointments in the past and the day before she has asked can I come another day or later because she forgot she had already booked another client. She had online platform Vargo that she "supposed" to use for scheduling, and I asked her in the pass do you prefer I booked through their and she said yes, but when I have booked the appointments on Vargo she doesn't always check it and I still have to text her to confirm the appointment. It's important for a stylist to honor appointments as scheduled and communicate any changes well in advance. I understand prices increasing; however, it is important that you inform your clients of all price increases in a timely manner. It's important for business owners to maintain professionalism and clear communication with their clients, especially loyal ones. It is my hope that my feedback can help Sherell improve her business practices and provide better service to her clients in the future.

Trimo's is the best of the best when it comes to hair care. I now live about an hour sometimes an hour fifteen away and would never even begin to consider closer options. Trina always offers suggestions for my natural hair, since I honestly have a very small threshold for what I like. She allowed me to go on my hair journey from perms to wet sets to weaves to the big chop without judging my decisions. She never pushed styles nor rejected an idea I would bring to her. However if a style wasn't plausible she would fully explain why and provide an alternative that would most accomplish what I wanted. And while I haven't had my hair cut by Mo, every dude that walks in and then back out is always better when then leave compared to when they walked in that day. If you are in need of a new stylist, braider or barber, make an appointment TODAY, you will not be sorry.

Trina‘s hair styles never disappoint! I hardly touch my hair between appointments. I love her knowledge of products that are best from my scalp and hair texture. I plan on staying a client for a very long time. I come from approximately an hour away every two weeks to have my hair styled by Trina. It’s definitely worth the trip!
