My friend and I had some time to kill before a flight, so I booked a blow dry at the last-minute. It's inside of a shared commercial space, so it's a little difficult to find, but not their fault! My stylist was super sweet and gave me the most AMAZING volume. It was quick, relaxing and beautiful. This blow out is definitely lasting a couple of days.

Exactly what I needed. Easy to book appointment, easy to find, just go through the door marked with the giant 155. Aisha did the most amazing shampoo, thorough but so gentle and took so much care with my hair. I never felt a single uncomfortable pull or too much heat. I left with the most amazing smooth but voluminous round brush blowout that I know will last me all week.

Walked in to the salon eight minutes past my appointment time. I had to walk around the block a few times there is no street signage finally found it and was told that they would not blow dry my hair. I would have expected someone to call me if they were not going to provide service. Person working seemed pleased to get to leave early. Really dumb would’ve happily tipped very very generously.

Booked an appointment online at 5:45 and showed up to a closed salon and no one to answer my calls in real time. Extremely disappointing and irresponsible service to provide customers. Would not recommend.

I asked for straight hair and to have it go under at the bottom, I also asked for my bangs to be blended in. I walked out with so many waves and it was very puffy. I was on the verge of tears and got a cab to go get another blow dry bar. I will Never go there again. Worst experience ever and I get my hair blown out often. Do not go here. Go to Drybar.

I have visited this location many times over the past couple years when they send out discounts. Pretty average blowout i don't mind them- but the low rating comes from the customer service. Stylists there make you feel like a burden when they can't get their scheduling correct or can't manage time. When I came in last, the manager questioned me on my discount even though its an automated process so it felt uncomfortable like they didn't believe me. I was told I needed to book extended blowouts but my hair is barely shoulder length and I never request more than a basic blowout so time has never been an issue- i get done in under 45 mins unless the stylist has difficulty. I think its unfair that the inabilities of time management fall on the customers having to accommodate by paying more for their time and feeling questioned makes me very uncomfortable to keep utilizing offers that require going to that location.

I made an 8am appointment a week in advance. At 4:47am on the day of the appointment, I received a text stating the stylist that I was scheduled with had called in and the soonest they could do my hair was 9:30am which conflicted with the business meeting for which I was having my hair done. No other options, no back up stylist, nothing. The last minute cancelation by the salon left me no opportunity to make an appointment elsewhere. Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. Do not recommend.

I took an uber to my appointment, initially checking Google Maps, which indicated a 5-minute arrival time. However, due to heavy traffic on Michigan Avenue, the journey ended up taking 25 minutes, causing me to arrive 15 minutes late. Unfortunately, the stylist I encountered was quite rude and provided poor service, neglecting to do anything substantial with my hair.Even though I still had 11 minutes remaining on my allocated time, the client who was already receiving treatment generously offered to wait an additional 15 minutes for me. Regrettably, the stylist rudely declined the client's generous offer.

I was shocked how unwelcome I felt as soon as I got there from the stylist who was there. There was no greeting and it was like my presence was unwelcome. Then, when my stylist arrived there was an unspoken hostility between the two of them. They didn’t greet each other or make eye contact. Maybe the initial stylist was annoyed because the second was late but I’ve been a hairstylist for 20 years and it was just incredibly uncomfortable. I won’t even go into the blowout. Overall, I just felt like they didn’t want my business and if I wasn’t getting married today I would have left after the initial non-greeting.

If I could rate ZERO stars, we would. We had a horrible experience and each had to redo our hair when we got back to the hotel. Our appointments were at 12 and there was only 1 person there - the 2nd girl ran in late. One of her appointments was running behind and the other person I was with was not taken until 12:24. I would not recommend this salon.

In town for a wedding and 4 of us made appointments at Trixie for blowouts and braid styling. We had a wonderful experience! They were so great, hair looked amazing and stayed all night! Highly recommend over the bigger chain blow dry places.

Reviews don’t lie. Terrible experience. Stylist was late and seemed to be annoyed she had to style my 3C hair. Wasn’t gentle AT ALL with combing and blow drying. Combed from middle to ends vs from ends to root to avoid breakage. Definitely heard some hairs break. Same with blow drying. Yanking my head and hurting my neck. Just the entire experience was damaging to my hair and it’s already frizzy a few hours later. I’ve been to other salons where my hair was the straightest and shiniest it’s ever been and lasted for weeks. She also put product in my hair last vs before styling. Didn’t make any sense and definitely will never be back. Could’ve done a better job at home myself.

The girl who did my hair was very sweet but it looked a mess. My extensions were not blended and the top hairs were curled by themselves instead of with the extensions making it more obvious I have on extensions. I literally had to go to another salon to have it corrected. I asked for beach waves and got prom curls.

The stylist was late. The salon was dirty. There were were piles of towels - and it looked like laundry hadn't been done in a while. The floor needed to be swept and mopped and things looked like they needed to be wiped down. Honestly it was one of the dirtiest salons I've ever been to. Stylist was very aggressive in her technique to style my hair. My scalp is burnt in multiple places because of how she blew my hair dry. She also was very forceful in adjusting my head and neck to dry my hair. And she was extremely careless in how she washed my hair. My shirt was extremely wet after the wash and she washed off my make up across my forehead. I get my hair blown out weekly in all different places across the US. This by far was one of the worst experiences I had.

They did a nice job straightening my wavy, frizzy hair and smoothing it down. There were two employees on duty. I recognized one from other reviews here, but the young woman who did my hair was very friendly and professional.

Wonderful experience. The stylist was great and did a wonderful job. The plus was that music videos were playing so you don't have to stare off into the mirror.

I was the first customer at 11 am. The stylist never introduced herself just instructed me to hang up my coat with a Russian accent. She was quite rough there was nothing pleasant about the wash or blow dry. There was hardly a word exchanged except when the blow dryer got too close to my scalp and she was pulling too hard with the curling iron. She did ask if I wanted to leave a tip on the card. My hair is ok but I cannot recommend and I won’t be going back.

It was apparent as his last customers for the day that our stylist was not exactly thrilled about having to blow and style mine and my sister’s hair. I have hair extensions and told him so. He acted like he knew how to treat them, but nearly yanked them out while combing my hair and drying my hair. He was at best a mediocre stylist.

Need to report that after a stylist no-show - I did get a call from owner and lots of excuses. . . things on the mend. They do try hard. People are very friendly there, stylists quite capable.

Terrible experience, took 45 mins for a hair style that was nothing like what I asked. Hair felt dry and was a complete waste of time and money.
