I HIGHLY recommend this company. My first interaction with them was when I first purchased my fix-it-up house with a pool. The pool, like everything else, ended up not working not long after I signed. I was new to owning a pool and brought my broken part to pool stores around Tucson. This was the only pool company that was really helpful. They didn't have the part, but told me how to look it up on Amazon. Since my pool was out of commission for a couple of weeks, it got green, so I hired them to come out and get it up to clean status. Once again, they went above and beyond. They have a starting fee, but they said it didn't need that much maintenance and chemicals to get it up to clean, so they didn't even charge me the full starting price. I have used them for the last few years for service and I love my pool guy, Ernesto. Always friendly and feels like he looks out for me. I will say the same about Patrick and Walter. EVERY interaction I have had with either of them has been outstanding. The level of customer service I get with this company is unheard of - especially in this day and age. I never feel like they are trying to take advantage of me. I feel like they treat me like a family member. I am also shocked at how they remember me every time I walk in the door (come in maybe once a year). They even help out with equipment I purchased through Amazon. I had gotten a pool vacuum with Amazon because I had a gift card. That didn't matter to them. A little over a year after getting my vacuum, it had issues with the cord. I brought it into them and they said it should still be under warranty. Even though I got it through Amazon, they said they would take care of it and they did! This is a $600+ part and they got it warranted to me for free and only charged me for labor/parts for replacing wheels. This is just one example of the same type of service I receive over and over with them. The fact that they let me know it should be warranted AND I didn't have to figure out how to get it and deal with the manufacturer AND get a free part...PRICELESS! I have other similar examples from my 3 years of working with them. I recommended them to my neighbor who also has a pool and she has been much happier with the service they provide compared to the previous company she was using.

Knowledgeable, trustworthy Service Tech. Sorted out my problems quickly. Back office folks were super as well, setting up an appointment very quickly. Overall great experience...they are now my Go To Pool Tech Company !

I have enjoyed professional and consistently superb service from Tucson Pool and Spa over the past 2 years. They have serviced one pool for over a year, added pool heating to this pool and have now started pool service at a second property we own in Tucson. We also purchased a hot tub and had it moved later to another property. Cale in particular, has been a huge help with connecting my heating and pool mechanics so they can be operated remotely, and Jonathan has also been so friendly and helpful when I stop by the store with a myriad of questions. Patrick has also been of great help and I can't forget the wonderful ladies in the office who manage the communication and scheduling. Looking forward to another great year with you all!

The people that work here are amazing. They are knowledgeable, understanding and never over sell you for anything. They always listen to you and always have the answer. I would recommend this company for any of your pool needs. They never fail me. 10 STARS

Update: October 6, 2024 Again, TPS offers some empathy and claims I should have allowed them an opportunity to make things right. Truth be known: TPS has refused to answer my calls and now reneges on repairing my pool where they did wrong. I.e., they covered over the main drain without removing metal parts. Now, I have a huge rust stain in the bottom of my pool. Scott Payne, General Manager, was reluctant to put to writing the fault of TPS, but eventually said in a text "I agree." Now, trying to get them to be competent and a trustworthy business is proving nearly impossible. Still not complying with their word to fix the problem in my pool that they created. Next step: We go to court. Update: July 19, 2024 Am told by current pool service co that the rust left behind in my pool by Tucson Pool and Spa does affect the overall chemical balance in my pool. TPS covered over my main drain and did not remove all metal products. Thus, rust in my pool. This company is full of liars and are deceptive. Their response to my complaint as trying to resolve the situation? They were happy to get rid of me. Why? Because I had one call with them and expressed my complaint. From thereon out, they ignored my calls and put out a pathetic response. Go far away from this company! Found that the robot is broken. Craig took great care the first season. Newbie, in front of me, said he would do a better cleaning next time around. On the rare occasion he did clean the filters on the robot, he never once washed them out. Discovered the filters were forced and tips to hold the filter in place were broken off. That's what happens when you are in a rush. Not cleaning out with a water rinse leaves sand and debris in the unit. Rushed service; bad service. I pay the top 3 tier level for service which includes brushing the pool "as needed." I have foliage near my pool, which results in the necessity to brush. TPS will only spend the minimal amount of time, i.e., 5-10 minutes servicing your pool. Doesn't leave much time for a thorough brushing. Thus, I have to brush immediately after pool tech leaves because he leaves algae in my pool. Steer clear. TPS does not take customer satisfaction into consideration in their business practices. Read further about the multitude of other complaints about their service. July 9, 2024 - Response to company reply below: TPS screened and ignored my calls made in attempt to resolve the issue, after the first phone call made to them. Further, "call them anytime?" I fired them three days ago and, after posting their reply today, they sent me a termination letter. All to cover their poor customer service and business practices.

Had issues with my pool robot cleaner. Took it in late Saturday afternoon, Walter went above and beyond testing and repairing it on the spot. I highly recommend this honest family owned company. Dan D.

this is the second bad review that I have posted with this company since service was started 6 months ago. The first review was taken down after the owner called and reassured that the problems would be resolved. However, the pool service has continued to perform below par. Skimmer and filter baskets have not been emptied, parts (chlorine floater) have be broken and not replaced for weeks. Algae has accumulated on the pool sides. and no urgency has been addressed by the technician. The final straw was when the technician lost or broke skimmer parts and left the situation for over 4 weeks while we were away. The company had the audacity to send an invoice for those parts when they were finally replaced. To add insult to injury, Joss, the technician lead phoned and accused me of lying about the situation. At that point, I asked to be removed from their service schedule. It may be that the company is focused on something other than Pool/Spa maintenance..... As a follow up from my latest review and response from the manager, current and prospective clients may want to look into the Arizona Registrar of Contractors web site. It appears as though Tucson Pool and Spa's license has been revoked. Francis Jr or Tammy Jane Milam (owners) perhaps can clarify...

They are ok, everyone was always helpful, kind and very professional. Alex was always on top of it and great with communication, Walter has been great also. They did a great job on our pool refinishing, seemed a little disorganized when it came to picking tile and quartz color (the people in store couldn't tell us what tiles were included in the quoted price, and we did have a couple small hiccups that were ultimately corrected easily and professionally. The other disorganization related to canceling the pool service, having to call multiple times because the tech still was coming by for several weeks. Our reason for canceling was the technician wasn't doing anything to balance the pH despite me saying something and despite the heavy scaling that was occurring right after a brand new fill. He said it was good but we never saw him actually test our water and I tested and i was able to correct the issue myself and started caring for it ourselves. Had their weekly services for about 2 years and we still use their service to clean the DE filter. *update* if you need warranty work on pool vacuum expect 1-3months turn around. We have been waiting over 2 months and it been challenging at times to get a call back from the repair person to see if we can get a loaner. Maybe they are busy or don't have anything new but communication means a lot

Just had a warranty claim through Pentair with Tucson Pool and Spa and the service was excellent. Cale their service representative was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly and did a great job getting my pool system running again. I would definitely use them again and ask for Cale to do the work. Great service!

Cale is our service guy. He installed all our upgraded pool and spa equipment. Cale is also the only guy we call on if we have a problem, he knows how to fix it !!!

I recently purchased a hot tub from Tucson Pool & Spa. As a single woman, the difficult tasks of finding a contractor to pour the cement slab and finding an electrician to add the power source were major obstacles. When I was told that they handle the entire process, I was delighted. Everything was accomplished smoothly and I last night I enjoyed a soak under the stars. Sweet success!

My Maytronics Dolphin robot needed service. Maytronics advised that Tucson Pool & Spa is an an authorized service center for their line of pool cleaning robots in Tucson. Met with Walter. He was friendly. Provided great service and advice on my robot. He answered all my questions and presented options. Left a happy customer. I'll be back for future needs.

Tucson pool and spa came to provide repairs. Cale my technician was prompt, knowledgeable and efficient. Set up my app and walked me through process for maintenance. I highly recommend Tucson pool and spa co. But especially recommend Cale for all repairs.

We try to figure a lot out through the internet, but any time we have a question I can text Patrick, add a picture, and he is able to explain to me what something it or someone comes by to look. Great product, customer service, and warranty service with a full installation package. These guys worked with us and got us an amazing spa. In addition, they were able to quote and install the required electrical and concrete pad. They're a full package store. If we had to do it all again, I would absolutely stick with Tucson Pool and Spa.

TPS staff and service are excellent. They help us every season balance our pool chemicals and get our pool looking beautiful. This year was a persistant algae bloom (suspected from our pool cover) and I found myself brushing the pool and adding chlorine daily. Spoke to the staff at TPS and they recommended Pool RX Plus, and the problem was resolved immediately. Our pool looks perfect. Thank you TPS for your knowledge and expertise. We appreciate your professionalism and we're grateful you're nearby always willing to help.

Recently had my pool service switched to Tucson Pool & Spa. When I reached out to inquire about having a heater added to my system, Cale was very responsive and answered all my questions and walked me through the process. He explained what all needed to be done and made it happen, very happy!

NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY TO CLEAN YOUR POOL!!! They were “taking care” of our pool for two months. On the days they were “supposed” to be cleaning pool, I would come home to find dirt and sand still in the bottom of our pool, along with stuff floating on top that was there before they supposedly showed up. I checked my chlorine feeder, only to find that there was exactly ZERO CHLORINE TABLETS in the feeder. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! Do yourself a huge favor and hire someone else, or just do it yourself! I would have left negative stars if this would have let me.

Walter came to fix a problem I had with my backwash valve. He came when he was scheduled, had the equipment necessary and completed the job the same day.
