Erin has guided me through hair changes and challenges, from when I used to foolishly attempt to cut my own bangs in my 20s, to when I attempted to visit a trendy hair salon someone said I just had to try, resulting in a botched haircut I most definitely didn’t ask for (not recommended – Erin came to the rescue with a sense of humor and much needed damage control), to when, with age, my hair decided in my 40s it wanted to take me on a rather different journey of texture inconsistencies. You can openly discuss your hair goals and trust you will be heard and that customized solutions will be made to meet your hair type and desired style. Dear Reader, I hope you find this review useful when searching for your next hairstylist. I recently had several services preformed by Natalie M @tulip salon in Austin Texas. My service list was quite long ( especially with the 24 inches of copper red bellami extensions I had requested she install) a gloss for my faded color, beaded weft extension install, full removal of k-tip extensions, beaded weft extension removal, and a haircut. I am naturally brunette, my hair color is a shade away from black, she had the expertise to transform my natural hair color and shape into a vibrant mane of silky confidence with zero damage to my hair. She gave me everything I wanted and more. I’ve never had a stylist who was more thorough and precise with her application. Watch out Austin, there’s a new artist in town. Natalie Martin!

I randomly found Tulip Hair Studio while Googling salons near me, and Natalie has quickly become my go to hairstylist in Central Austin with her affordable and transparent pricing (tips included in the rates), clean products, and easy online scheduling. I always leave with the perfect trim and layers in less than an hour, which is a major plus for anyone with a busy work/life schedule. I’d highly recommend Natalie for anyone looking to simplify their routine hair care!

Erin of Tulip Hair Studio - simply put - gets me :-) She has taken the time to understand my hair type but also how low maintenance I need my hair to be. She is an expert colorist and has made it so I don’t hate my grays! My cut and color always grows out gracefully which, as a full-time working mom, I really appreciate since I tend to go longer between visits. I loved my first time at this studio--I appreciated the easy booking, transparent reasonable pricing, gentle products, and kind environment so much. Natalie did an amazing job giving me just the cut and slight highlights that I wanted. She really took the time to understand my requests and was so sweet and fun to talk to (without imposing!) to boot. She gave me great tips for my hair (which I am clueless about how to style), and when I left I got an adorable little sample giftie bag, and super helpful follow-up email with all the info I needed. So glad I found this accessible, sunny place in Austin! :)

I went in to get a trim, I was a little apprehensive at first going to a hair salon I haven’t gone to before, but I was so happy to have Natalie. She is one of the best hairstylists in this city by far. I trust very few people to cut my hair and Natalie always does a wonderful job! Natalie at Tulip is a brilliant stylist! I have been seeing her regularly for full highlights (while I’m growing out a platinum blonde moment), haircuts, and most recently a blow dry and style for a special event. Natalie knows her stuff. She’s also a great balance of patient and friendly, knowledgeable and innovative. I highly recommend Natalie for your next hair service!

Natalie gives that good hair!!! I visited Natalie at her past salon and of course followed her to Tulip. I’m so glad she moved! Tulip is inviting, quiet, drama free and the perfect place to enjoy Natalie’s best ever shampoo/massage, and cut. I’m not sure her wizardry but my hair is light, so soft and absolutely perfect. Literally the best cut I’ve ever had. Thank you Natalie! I love your calm demeanor while you do your werk!

As someone who has thick and coarse hair, it is so nice that Erin really understands the best way to cut and style it so that it is the most flattering for the shape of my face.
