This hair salon is rude. No one greets you when you walk in , everyone just stares at you. Sandra doesn’t know how to do hair, she needs to be retrained. I won’t be going back to this place. This salon doesn’t care if you don’t like your hair. This place is terrible 👎

Hey, this is a nice place to go to get your hair to get your hair done whatever style cuts twist you name it they do it. Excellent customer service love it.

I just started going there and yes they are very nice friendly people very good service and the young lady that does my hair Sandra is very very good in what she do basely everyone are I had Short hair and now it's growing thanks to the people at twisted roots thank you guys.

The staff are friendly and engaging. The service is exceptional as well. I've been going here for the past two years and haven't had a bad experience or even neutral experience. Things are top notch.

I came for one simple wick loc. I called the stylist and book an appointment in advance. The stylist wasn’t experienced and played in my hair. 0/10 would not recommend. I did in fact go to twisted roots for this service. If you business don’t offer a service, just simply say that. As seen in the photo the loc has 2 ends. Not a wick. I was charged $17 for one loc and this is what I got from Delois.very disappointed.

Got a set of locs and the (African descent woman) played in my hair by giving me small big and medium parts creating different sized locs did a reattachment to the thinner ones I had and put a clump of some type of yarn material in my hair and I’m now considering cutting them don’t come here crudely overpriced and malnourished when it comes to natural equipment.WOULDNT RECOMMEND

I had the pleasure of getting my hair styled by Sandra. I was grateful because I walked in and she was available to see me right away. In addition her prices were affordable and she is friendly. The shop has a great atmosphere.

I went in for a loc consultation because after almost a year and a half after having my daughter my hair felt like it was finally growing and not breaking off anymore. Several months ago I did the big chop because my postpartum hair loss was so bad, I cried every time I looked at my hair. I went to this woman owned salon on the south side to get it cut into a style and long story short they did not take care of me at all. I left out crying because I felt worse than when I went in. After that, I refused to let anyone even look at my hair until today. Doug handled me and my hair with such care that I left saying if I was not a lesbian I would have proposed to that man right then and there!!!! He explained to me that I needed a cut because it was uneven (thanks other salon) and breaking . He then proceed to give me the best hair cut (using scissors) I'm sure I've ever had. In about 2 months I'll be ready to start my loc journey. Doug has a client for the foreseeable future. Run don't walk to see him asap!!!

Doug has been my hairdresser for almost five years now. He does a great job with my locs and has given me the best advice on how to take care of them. In the time he's taken care of my hair, its grown significantly, and for someone who doesn't know how to do hair, he works wonders. The shop is clean and he is always quick, even when fully booked. If anyone I know wishes to have locs done, I'll always recommend him. Thank you Doug for your patience and kindness!

Facts: I made an appointment with Deloris. I showed up early for my appointment, and to my surprise she started servicing another client at the time I had scheduled. So of course, the appointment I had started late. I wasn't really tripping until I realized I would miss my next obligation so I couldn't stay under the dryer any longer. Instead of apologizing for the obvious double-booking, she blamed me for not knowing how long the appointment would take. This is my third set of locs, I know my hair VERY well, and I know my hair would have been completely dry if my appointment had started on time.

I was actually a walk-in and I got my hair started the same day and the vibe in the shop is awesome people are beautiful good spirits and the lady did my hair Ann Marie did Amazing job on my hair and I don’t feel in love with my hair since she did it I started my journey march 23 I’m definitely happy I had the experience to come here if you are looking for a shop to start your Locs this is place for you 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

I paid a significant amount and waited 6 hours only to have to go somewhere else to get my hair done. I was in tears when I left. I watched the owner do wonderful work and this review isn’t about him. Please educate the woman who did my hair so that she can become a better stylist.

I researched many salons and chose Twisted Roots after reading the positive reviews. It was very easy to schedule and receive a confirmed consultation appointment with Doug. The salon is very clean, well lit and spacious. There was only a five minute wait for my scheduled appointment and Doug assessed my hair texture within ten minutes. Doug is truly a professional and very knowledgeable. I look forward to my future appointments at the Twisted Roots Salon. Thanks Doug!!!

Douglas Bradshaw always takes time while he retwists to fix any loc Thts broken or thinning out.Lots of shops don’t let u know what’s goin on with your hair until the last min.He’s very professional at his craft and I hv a very pleasant experience every time I hv a loc maintenance appointment.Shout out to Doug and the whole twisted roots family nothin but love💯💪🏾

If you are looking for a loctician Doug Bradshaw is that man. I always have an amazing experience at twisted roots salon! Doug is incredibly talented and listened to exactly what I want and tells me what I need. The salon has a relaxing atmosphere everything is well-organized and clean at the salon. I highly recommend twisted roots salon.

Nice shop and would definitely recommend seeing Doug or one of the other ladies. Unfortunately, as kind as Cassandra is, she does not have the skillset to start locs, nor does she seem confident in her skills.
