Loved this salon. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Olivia the stylist was great and the products used were top of line. I Ioved them so much I bought a few after my haircut. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have been a client at Twisted for 9 years now and would never dream of going somewhere else. I feel very lucky to have scheduled my first appointment with co-owner Larry because after all this time and a variety of styles and colors I always walk out of the salon completely satisfied. The salon is a great atmosphere, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional and I truly look forward to every visit. It is wonderful to get the cut and color that makes you feel good but even better to be treated in a way that makes you feel valued and cared for.

As a working mom, with a busy schedule & being an essential health care worker. i booked an appointment to get a blowout to take one thing off my plate. As life is busy and task full we all deserve the opportunity to treat ourselves, and make sure that we are not forgotten in the whirlpool that is our schedule. So when i got into my appointment after a day full of errands and it being my only time off, before the busy schedule begins again . I was expecting to just be taken as is and made to feel good. but instead i was judged and slightly berated from a hair cut i got two weeks ago. Instead of building me up and doing the one service i asked for (a blowout) i got coerced into an impromptu hair cut so i could be "fixed" and made into the stylist standards. and made to feel like i was something wrong and unfit that needed be changed. Not only that but when mentioning i wanted to grow out my bangs and i didn't want them high lighted the stylist told me "well you have them now" and took it upon themselves to fix it and cut the rest of my hair with it (which now it's uneven and has to be cut even shorter). Then made me to believe that i was the reason why my hair looked bad in the first place bc i kept moving in the chair after so long. Due to the fact that i booked a blowout ..... not a hair cut and wasn't expecting to be there for an hour and 40. especially again with limited time off and just expecting to have my hair washed, dried and straightened ... that's all i asked . that's all i wanted. Now im tasked with the chore of having to get it fixed and let it grow out. l did not deserve to be treated this way or have an experience like this. Again as a healthcare worker, when i take my patients in take them as they are and help them find the courage and confidence in their care plan. I expected the same level of respect and acceptance and care as i do for patients (but obviously in this case it's with hair). I still tipped 20% and paid for the service but i was very disappointed, will not be back. I have been before but not a different stylist and they chose to just give me the blowout i asked for with no judgment or impromptu hair cut (all of which names i chose not to disclose). The good news is hair grows back the sad news is i have yet another task to add on which is to renew my confidence when seeing my hair every day.

I’ve been shopping around at different hair salons for a couple years now, some of them very high end and i have to say this place was the best experience i’ve had by far. Ollivia was my stylist and she gave me the exact cut and color I asked for, was super friendly and very gentle with my hair (no yanking through knots while styling) and the price for a cut, all over color, styling, and a bottle of shampoo was SUPER reasonable. I will definitely be returning

I've been with Twisted and co-owner David since the salon opened in 2001. Actually, David was my stylist before he began this venture. David and Larry have created an environment that I often say is one of my happy places in Louisville. They work magic on their clients' hair while showing them caring attention. I walk away from the salon every month with a fresh hairstyle and big smile. Can't imagine there's any salon quite like this one.

I came to Twisted for the first time yesterday and had the best haircut since I moved here in 2017! Hope was amazing and knew exactly how to cut my long fine hair. I couldn’t be happier and will return to Twisted many times!

I've been coming here for almost a year and I should have left a review sooner! I see Grace and she is amazing. Always fun to talk to and leaves me feeling great. I have a TON of hair and she always makes sure to schedule extra time for me so I never feel rushed and always get styled. Bonus points for having cute pups occasionally roaming the salon :)

Larry is awesome! He color corrected my hair after a bleach job gone wrong and provided excellent and professional service! The salon is very clean and well decorated and staff is extremely friendly which makes for a pleasant experience! 10/10 recommend!

The staff was excellent and fun to be around. My wife's stylists were very caring, attentive, and patient enough to solve the matted mess that was my wife's hair. They did an amazing job taking care of her, and we definitely recommend this business when you're looking for great attention to detail with your hair care needs.

After not having any luck with my past hairstylist I was so hesitant to get my hair done again but y’all this place has been amazing! I have been to Grace multiple times and she is absolutely amazing and makes me feel beautiful every time she does my hair. She’s so friendly and seems to really care about her clients. Definitely found my hairstylist for life now.

I go to Hope, and she is seriously the best person/stylist ive ever had do my hair. she’s funny, really educated in hair, and always helps me have realistic expectations for what my hair can and cannot do. i go to her monthly and i can guarantee i will not be seeing any other stylist for many years to come. I had my first visit at Twisted this evening and can't brag enough about Kaitlyn! I'm definitely going to go back to her. The process of setting up an appointment was easy. When I arrived, I honestly wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I had long hair with my natural brown to yellow-blonde ombre. I was debating between going lighter or going for an auburn red tone - yet Kaitlyn was very patient and involved in the decision- making process. We ended up going a dark auburn route that matches well with my roots and I have no regrets! I was very pleased with her professionalism and engagement with me. I can't wait for my hair journey to continue here! Side note: the price was wonderful as well. Much less than what I expected. Thanks for everything!

I’m so happy I found Hope!! She has always done an amazing job and I leave the salon feeling like a million bucks. Not only is she really sweet but she is extremely knowledgeable and has always guided me in the right direction with my color. If you need or want a new stylist she is your girl!

Grace Woodard is my regular stylist for hair color and cut. She is very talented, energetic and it's a enjoyable escape sitting in her chair. Grace also did my wedding hair in July of 2021. It was so beautiful and elegant, exactly what I wanted! Both Grace and Natalie (also at Twisted) did 9 other updos for my bridal party. Everyone's hair looked incredible, and it was such a blast having them there with us for the day. I highly recommend Grace for hair services and both Grace and Natalie for wedding hair!

I have pretty thick curly hair (3b/c) and always struggle when finding a stylist that actually knows what they’re doing. Gracie is absolutely amazing! I’ve been to her a couple of times now and everytime she does an amazing job. She listens to what I want done and manages to not only deliver but go above and beyond. Very friendly and overall a great energy to be around. Sadly I don’t live in town anymore but I will literally make the hour drive to this salon so she can do my hair. Only person I trust to touch it!

Twisted Salon is such an inviting, professional salon where from the first step in the door, you are made to feel special and welcomed! Larry was like an old friend and truly listened to my wants and totally outdid himself in providing what I wanted in my highlights as I get my hair back to something I love about myself again!
