I never leave reviews but I had such a great experience yesterday with Raven and Sophia! Both of them were so enthusiastic about helping me find a perfect lip liner (and both were so patient with me) They gave me advice and their opinions on what looked best on me. Seriously this is how shopping for makeup should feel, so fun! Thanks yall. I had gone to the sunset valley location right before this one and i had to go search for someone to help me, not that big of a deal but definitely not as much of a welcoming feeling.

Darlene cut my daughter’s hair 3 months ago and she did a great job , that’s why I took my daughter there again. I don’t know what happened the second time, but my daughter’s hair looks horrible. There are some shorter pieces that don’t make sense and she made it shorter in the front, after the just asked for a trim. I’ve been trying to grow my daughter’s hair and it looked so good before that haircut, I am very disappointed.

I had a bad experience @ another salon, they left bleach in my hair for too long. My hair was ruined, but luckily Darlene brought my hair back to life. She took the time to do what she does & knew what my hair needed. I go to her every time & she always finds time to fit me in her schedule ty Darlene 🥰

After moving to Austin, I visited this Ulta location and was shocked. Let me preface this 1-star review by saying that I am a die-hard Ulta fan. I get my hair and brows done at Ulta Salons. I get all of my beauty products at Ulta. I am a diamond member. This is the worst Ulta store I have EVER set foot into (and I’ve been to a lot). It is dirty, poorly organized and terribly stocked. And the staff is… not Ulta quality. I compare this store to the Brodie location in South Austin… which is amazing. The staff there is lovely, helpful, talented. The store is pristine. It’s totally inconsistent. Brand standards are not held to a discriminating level at the Southpark Meadows location. Why?? The regional team needs to do a deep dive here and uncover the reason why this store is so bad. I will not return to this location, despite it being my local store.

Came here today to look for the Anastasia dip eyebrow product. I saw there wasnt any of the ebony shade I use and I saw it was pretty busy which I understand it’s a Sunday. I walked around for like 3 minutes trying to find someone to help me, (which is fine bc I know it’s busy) I finally found a lady sitting on a computer on her phone and I asked her hi are you busy ? (I asked because I don’t know if she was busy doing a task or something? ) she replies with sarcasm “what do you want” like huh? I replied I was looking for the shade ebony and she said I’ll check the back . She disappeared and never came back once I left I saw her sitting on the computer once again DOING NOTHING wasting time . If you hate your job so much or costumer service so much then don’t work there jeez. She had a pony tail and was Caucasian sitting at the front entrance computer . 5:30-6:00pm December 15

Poor customer service… bad attitude since the beginning and they didn’t help us with an exchange issue ☹️ Why? We’ll never know 🫠 ( it was today around 8:30 pm ) We went to the one Ulta located at Brodie Lane and the lady nicely helped us with our exchange! ☺️

THE RUDEST employees I’ve ever met , the managers don’t know how to manage and don’t care about their customers whatsoever. if I’m asking for help , I’m expecting some help . I’m not the one getting paid it’s the staff so they definitely need to get it together

cut my own hair last night and just needed the right side evened out a bit more so booked an appt here. in the photo i did the left side and the right looked the same just slightly longer towards the front. the lady was literally fighting me about giving me a U shape when i was asking for it to just be evened in the front and wanting to keep V shape. she didn’t even wet my hair like i asked, now the right side she did looks like a weed whacker went at it right before christmas and even worse than before. was charged for a full cut when she spent less than 10 minutes doing whatever this is…. should have just put in some more effort and fixed it myself. 10/10 do not recommend going here and the reason i refuse to go to “professionals”. had to pay and get it fixed. will be asking for my money back

I wandered around searching for an item for a while before realizing it was an online only product. Sadly, unless I’m wearing full face make up, I don’t get asked if I need help or even how I’m doing lol. Lorena (hope I spelled correctly), I noticed when I first walked in, however, she was assisting another customer. When she finished, I was already circling back the third time at least, she was the only one to offer me help. Beautiful woman inside and out, very warm and kind, even convinced me to purchase some skin care products to help for winter time. I love ULTA but customer service isn’t always that great of an experience unless you’re dolled up and LOOK the part. Let’s take a lesson in kindness, sales, and customer service from this amazing lady, you’re amazing Lorena and these stars were specifically for this sweet lady!

I went to the salon with virgin hair to have it colored and cut. I broke up the appointments into two so I could do them during the work day when I have childcare. I first went to get my hair colored and picked out a rich medium brown. It was an extra $20 to have your hair blow dried & since my color was already over $100, I skipped that. After I got home I realized the hair near my face was way darker. This corresponded to where she had wrapped paper onto my hair. I planned to mention this to her at my haircut appt the following week. The next week I took off work to get my hair cut. After I arrived I discovered the hairdresser was triple booked. I have no clue how this happened since someone called to confirm my appt, but I was unable to get my hair cut. I came back a third time to try to get my color fixed (every time I had to take time off of work). The hairdresser ended up dying my hair way darker than I originally wanted and the hair near my face is STILL almost black and not the same color as the rest of my hair. I can’t really do anything to fix it because she dyed my hair so dark the second time. My hair is still two colors and it’s damaged from having to get it colored twice in two weeks. I wish I had just dyed it at home & I would stay far away from this salon.

I’m a DoorDash driver. I had to scan the receipt as is required and the employee there today was very rude towards me. I asked her for the receipt so I could scan it quicker and get out of there, a process that literally takes 4 seconds. Instead she passive aggressively put it in the bag and said “can you please move I need to help the next guest” immediately after putting the receipt in the bag. I had to take the receipt and scan it, to which she replied “that’s a little rude” no m’am YOU are rude, and you could stand to lose some weight as well!

Darlene V at the salon was super knowledgeable and nice. I moved to Austin 4 years ago and haven’t found a hair stylist that I could trust because I’m usually very picky, but Darlene made me feel at ease and I think I found my new stylist! I’ll definitely be going back to her.

I've been using Darlene Villasana for over 30 years so when she moved to ulta, I went with her. My experience with her has always been very pleasant and she and the other stylists are very professional. I always have a great experience with Darlene when I go to ulta.

There were so many products to choose from but no staff to help navigate. None of them even acknowledged when the few customers came in. I am very disappointed in the customer service.

Do not get curbside at this location. I walked in and was completely ignored for 20 minutes, so I went to my car and waited for another 20-25 minutes. I finally went back in and had to speak up and tell the attendant that I had been waiting for 45 minutes. The manager heard and was confused. She said they had not received anything. I showed her my confirmation that I had checked in 45 minutes ago. She didn’t apologize. She just gave me my order. If I hadn’t walked back in they wouldn’t have come out to give me my order. Terrible service.

If you want a fabulous new look, go to Ulta at Southpark Meadows and book with Darlene Villasana! Darlene is an expert colorist and can help you come up with the best haircut for you! When I go in now, I just tell her to do whatever she wants to do because I'm always thrilled with her results! I come out of Ulta feeling refreshed, renewed, and beautiful every single time!

Made a purchase of merchandise that was CLEARLY marked gift with $50 purchase or more, only to be told that ended yesterday! There were several employees around so why not take the 3 signs down or better yet honor the signs!! I know you don't care so I will just shop elsewhere

The gal working the floor was so kind and helpful, but my experience was completely clouded by Oscar’s unfriendly and cold demeanor at checkout. He was monotone and short. Please note that he was also eating in between checking me out.

A little time has passed since I had my haircut at Utla South Park Meadows by a stylist named Gerard, I went to him a couple of times do I have my hair trimmed up little on the long side to make a long story short I grew my hair out for a year and eight months waiting to get the perfect haircut for my hair to be at the perfect length I went to get my haircut by Gerard was the worst haircut of my life ….!!!! This man needs to go back to school for training or better yet retire he does not care about his profession or clients and I hope they do pull his license. I have Filed complaint Utla as well with the state licensing board for cosmetology I do not recommend anyone going to this Gerard to have their haircut or treated for anything you will not get what you Pay for..! I do not understand why Utla continues to employee incompetent stylist Gerard…!!!!!!! I do not recommend this location to anyone. As for me, I will never set foot in Utla again. This is a warning to anyone getting their haircut At Utla South Park Meadows If you’re somehow unlucky to be scheduled an appointment with this man, Gerard run for the hills The most incompetent god awful stylist in Austin….!!!!!!!

This store is ok. Only one person offered assistance after 20 minutes of looking for an item. Workers stare. From my experience the one on Brodie Lane in Austin is the one that has even worse stuck up, inattentive workers. This just makes me not want to shop at any Ulta beauty locations. Most have a judgement type vibe when shopping there and all the workers look the same.
