I think that this location needs a lot of improvement from the display to the customer service and additional staff. Every single time that I go in the location the products are disorganized, shelves are empty, products are not where they should be and it remains the same way time and time again. This deters customers from wanting to come in because it is a chaotic shopping experience. In terms of the staff, there needs to be more. There are a number of times when one or two people are doing their best to cash but they are also trying to assist customers who need help on the floor. It should not be like that because it is overwhelming for them and frustrating for customers. I think they need more people so there is always help available on the floor for customers who need assistance and for employees to ensure that the products are properly displayed, and at least 2 people at the register. I think that as a result of the short staff, that the employees do get a little frustrated and it comes across as impatience and I get it. They want to bring down the line and they want to give speedy service, but just show a little more kindness, and we would have a better experience.

Update: When I say the store did a 180 I truly mean it. If you compare this trip (12/10/24- 715pm) from my last, I am beyond my own words when I say that this team has really improved. I came here to give a big big big shout out to MARIA 🫶🫶🫶and JAYLIN 😊😊(Jaelin?). They both really made the trip SO FUN!!! PLEASE give them their flowers 💐💐 and props (pay raise💲) for making sure I go back to this location. Also I wanted to make sure that I shout out everybody else that walked by me. Each one of them made sure they acknowledge me as they were walking by me even it was a quick "sorry" as they were guiding a customer to whatever they needed. I can truly see Maria and Jaylin in management. Both of their smiles really made my night. Old review:: It's so hard to find a customer service rep that'll help you. They walk by like their on a mission to save the planet. It's so bad that when I'm in Ulta, people stop ME and ask me if I work there..... Probably bc I actually look nice and approachable.

I was there yesterday and asked for a product that wasn't available on the shelf. I asked the cashier who was very sweet if there was anymore in the back he asked this rude Associate if she could get it for me, she rolled her eyes, I thanked her and she didn't respond. We we complained about the wait she was very dismissive. I explained to her that the way she responded did help the situation. She was giving the impression that she was a manager, I wasn't really sure. The security guard was more helpful and receptive. The store is DIRTY!

They need to hire ppl who are trained to do hair! Do not go here for a color job!!! Extremely disappointed in their work and the stylists wouldn’t take responsibility for their poor job and tried to gaslight me when I said I was unhappy with their work. Spent hours at the salon only to leave unhappy, even tho they tried to “fix” it, and even worse, not one person even apologized for the inconvenience or ruining my hair. I would give 0 stars if I could. Do not go here. I am trying to save everyone their time and money. Other locations are definitely better but these people do not deserve your money.

Completely incompetent workers and management in the Brooklyn Kings Plaza Mall location . My daughter showed her Ulta gift card while checking out today. The employee scratched it and smudged the pin numbers. My blood was boiling when the manager Brandon had the nerve to say "sorry you can not use this gift card." Sorry, but it is not the customers fault you can not troubleshoot a simple solution to a small problem that you created. Never shopping here ever again. Dear upper management looking at this review. I have given hundreds of honest reviews, and there are many others that have had issues with your help. You are better off closing this brick and morter store since the quality of the workforce here is sub-par. This angers and frustrates your customers, and someone like me and lots of others would not shop at your store because of the bad help you have. I eventually used your website since your workers were incompetent. The manager Brandon at the Kings Plaza location is a prime example of who to never hire as an employee. The most incompetent and unprofessional worker I have ever had to deal with.

My daughter went into the store yesterday to go and get a perfume. She goes on line for the register and she told me that the cash register lady was being rude to her saying that she had poor manners. The cash register lady starts mumbling underneath her breath about my daughter and when my daughter left the store she started to talk about my daughter to the other cash register. They will be no longer getting my business anymore I will be going somewhere else where there is nothing but respect.

Solo tengo un "pero", no hay nadie a quien le puedas preguntar y/o te asesoren, desaparecen (ya son varias varias ocasiones que voy) y de cajas su actitud es de enojadas. Considero que el Costumer Services debería ser con mejor actitud.

I came in today June 16,2024 at 2 pm & walked straight to Nars to get concealer. I seen a worker standing near the section so I said Hi excuse me can you help me. This whole time she was on the phone so she act like she didn’t hear me. She goes im a vendor for Estee Lauder I don’t work for Ulta & proceeds to talk on the phone 1)She had a very nasty attitude & shouldn’t be on a phone call. 2) I asked another worker who close by & he also had an attitude he had colorful beads and pink French tip nails. I said Hi excuse me do you guys have anymore nars concealer. He goes you didn’t see any over there. I had to pause & im like no that’s why I’m asking if you have more. They need to work on communication classes there. Why come to work with an attitude & you work in customer service.

I’m very disappointed with my experience here. A young lady working there refused to give me my order and mocked my laugh and refused to give me a reason why the policy was in place, saying “I actually don’t know why.” The manager put me on the phone with customer service, that said the same thing I did (that the name of the order cannot be changed after it is ready for pickup). The manager then gave me my order, after 30 minutes of arguing. Very very unprofessional.

Customer service deteriorated ever since pandemics, decent people left the city, and we are left with 'this'. Customer service in Alta was unwelcoming, they got angry and impatient when I was asking where a specific item was, all I wanted to be quick. They either would brush me off, or didn't know where the item was and would tell me, it's kinda everywhere you should look for it. Also there were no samples of anything in makeup section. And then, cashier got super angry at me, as I didn't want to open alta account, she kept saying that I was paying money and won't be able to return it for cash, I tried to explain that I was not going to return anything... I thought she would smash those touchscreens. This behavior is unacceptable, rude and childish. Alta has lost a client forever.

Every single visit, I feel as though I’m begging them to take my money. Once the computers kept freezing, I spent an hour before I was able to purchase my items. Today, I waited half an hour for my item to get to the register because an associate has to bring perfumes to the register. When the cashier asked me to step aside instead of asking the sales associate to bring my item to the register, I decided it’s wasn’t waiting longer and won’t visit this location again. Ulta needs to realize customers are necessarily for the store to do well. The brand name Ulta isn’t enough to carry this location, proper customer service needs to be provided to their customers.

The store is always in disarray, the customer service is non-existent. Some of the employees have an attitude if you ask for assistance. Please do not work in customer service if you don’t want to be helpful. Based off the other reviews, this is a consistent issue.

Everytime I come into this Ulta it’s just bad vibes but it’s the only close one and online never works for me idk why. So today I came in to return/exchange something and noticed they had some good deals on perfume so I got a gift set. The cashier Shanicce was extremely rude to me and not helpful at all. I asked her if she could apply the merchandise credit to the current order because I was returning with my receipt and I paid with my CC so usually the $ goes back to the card. She was just annoyed that I had a question and rolled her eyes and said she could do it either way. I said fine just do whatever is easiest for you. Then when I asked about the free gift, I was supposed to receive with my fragrance Purchase & she quickly quickly said to me that she didn’t have any more in stock then a cashier who is standing next to her said yes we do have them. We have two boxes right there so she rolled her eyes and walked over over to get it for me. Last but not least as she was returning or exchanging the item she asked me why I didn’t want them. I told her that I didn’t want the mascara because I got a different one and that the lipgloss that I purchased I thought it was a different color so she tried to mock me and say: The color says right here that it’s clear so I don’t understand why you wouldn’t know what color it was. And normally I would right then and there, had to have stopped and call the manager and walk out, but I really didn’t feel like being a Karen at the moment however, she just left a bad taste in my mouth, so I really had no choice but to come here and put a review on the store because it’s not only this cashier, it’s every single cashier every single time I come in the store. You might as well just put the self check out monitors here because nobody wants to help you unless they’re chasing behind you like you’re going to steal some thing and if you have any questions you get treated like you’re not the one who spending money in the store. And I couldn’t get my birthday gift because that was supposedly sold out as well.

Placed an order for pickup and received no update. I called the store that morning and was told that someone was working on pickup orders and I will receive an update by 2pm. I patiently waited, but by 4pm I still didn't receive an update. I only have one item in my order so it shouldn't take this long to fulfill. I called back to see what was going on with my order and the lady I spoke to said that when my order is ready I would receive an update, but I told her I spoke to someone that morning who told me that I would get an update by 2pm. She took down my name and told me someone would work on my order now. Right before the store closed they cancelled my order due to it being 'out of stock'. My item was definitely still in stock, I believe the workers here are just petty and purposely canceled my order. Thankfully Ulta online CS was helpful and assisted me with placing a new order. I never received this type of service at any other Ulta, its just this location. Last time I had a pickup order, I had to literally do the work for them and pick out the items in my pickup order cause they took forever to fulfill my order. Lazy, miserable and rude workers. Its 2024 aim to be better in life cause the energy you give out will always return back to you 10 fold.

The culture at this Ulta is disappointing. I sampled a eyeshadow palette. It’s 7pm. The time is relevant because I’m looking around and see nothing to wipe the make up off as it has been depleted. I asked an associate and she was very passive aggressive about “tissues all over the floor” so I asked the security guard who was more willing to help. I needed help finding a primer and I walk towards a group of employees fooling around in the back and stand directly in front of them. I waited for a few seconds for them to get their giggles out and provide assistance but that never happened and I walked away without them having the slightest concern for my needs as a shopper: the check out process was smooth but the in store experience was…… let’s just say if I didn’t NEED the products I would not have purchased them. If no one is purchasing, money is not being made. If money is not being made….. you see where I’m going with this. Value your customers. Customers like myself value helpful and respectable employees.
