From start to finish, the customer service was outstanding. I was promptly greeted and offered assistance by a knowledgeable employee. Upon discovering that Ulta Beauty carries designer products, it became my only choice of selection. The employee was very skilled about the store's layout, guiding me efficiently to the items I needed. After gathering everything, she directed me to the checkout to complete my purchase. I was impressed by the wide range of high-quality beauty and hygiene products available for males. I'll definitely return back very soon. Keep up the extraordinary work!

UPDATE: After a week of back and forth with online customer service, I received a call from the manager Sophie. She was very apologetic and very kind, and agreed with me that this never should’ve happened. She worked with me to find a solution, even searching for a replacement in stores out of state because I am now traveling on a work trip. I’m changing my review from 1 to 4 stars, because I recognize and appreciate Sophie’s efforts to make this right. ORIGINAL: I bought 18” human hair extensions for $200+ and when I opened the box, they were used, matted, missing a weft, and reeked of cigarettes. I brought them back to the store and the refused to issue a refund “because it’s hair”, and only offer a 50% store credit which cannot be used online. The manager would not even look me in the eye when I asked how these extensions were allowed to be returned like this…this store is DIRRTYYYY.

I can’t speak highly enough on the customer service from Esther and Mabely. They were so focused and attentive despite the store being packed. Esther was such a personable rep and really knows her cosmetics. She did a great shade match for me for foundation (went with Fenty) and gave a Dior mascara recommendation I’m super excited to try. Mabely helped me sift through memory lane of all my old MAC shades (still left with tried and true Ruby Woo) and was very fun to talk lipsticks with. Hope the company treats these ladies well!

I had a phenomenal experience here. Everyone was so nice, especially Jason, Druhan, and Bradley. They were kind, attentive, made great recommendations, and helped me find what I needed. They really have the charisma, expertise, leadership, and customer service skills to handle such a busy store. I left with my soul satisfied. The world needs more people like them.

I’m giving the lowest rating. Every time I try to find Sephora, Google Maps keeps directing me to Ulta instead. While I’m on the go, I automatically tap to navigate to the nearest store, only to realize it’s Ulta again. The thing is, I have a gift card for Sephora, and every single time I try to get there, it ends up being an Ulta store. Sorry, but this is very frustrating. It feels like dishonest marketing. If your marketing team is running ads on Google Maps targeting Sephora, then you should accept Sephora Gift Cards as payment. By the way, for my birthday, I didn’t receive any birthday coupon from Ulta.

Racism at its finest. I was at Ulta this evening picking up a holiday gift for my mother, when I requested assistance from the team member, Carina. Instead of initially helping me, Carina helped a white patron next to me despite the fact that I was first to ask for her assistance. After about 3 minutes later once she was done, I watched her hand the patron a wrapped perfume bottle, allowing the patron to walk around the store with it in-hand, instead of putting it behind the cashier's counter, which is store protocol. I, too, needed Carina's assistance in the perfume department, but when she took the bottle from behind the display, she did not hand it to me. She informed me that she would need to place it behind the cashier's counter and I would get it once I paid, as was store protocol. Immediately, I responded by telling her that I just watched her break protocol when she handed it to the white patron, but did not do the same for me, a Black patron, when faced with the exact same circumstances. This was a clear instance of racial bias and is utterly unacceptable. Ulta should be careful with opening itself up to liabilities due to employing individuals with such blatant racial biases against certain customers. Do better.

This was by far the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. While browsing the Dior section and trying out lipstick samples, the security guard decided to follow me around and accuse me of stealing. They even reported me to other staff, and no one bothered to approach me directly. I had to confront them myself just to prove I didn’t take anything. It was humiliating, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. The staff was just as unhelpful, and their behavior made it clear they don’t care about customers. I will never return to this store and would strongly advise everyone to avoid it

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding an incident that occurred at this location on August 31. During my visit, I experienced highly inappropriate and unprofessional behavior from a member of your security team, which left me feeling uncomfortable and violated. The security guard in question engaged in intimidation tactics, making my shopping experience unpleasant. Additionally, while I was using the restroom, which was locked and occupied, the security guard forced their way in without proper cause or warning. This invasion of my privacy was both unsettling and unacceptable. As a loyal customer who values Ulta’s commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment, I am deeply disappointed by this experience. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate steps to ensure such incidents do not happen again.

The place was amazing, products were easy to find and everyone was great! I’m giving this one star because one of the cashiers almost tricked me into applying for their credit card program without even telling me, she said if i wanted 20% off i like anyone else took the offer but then she asked for my ID and took down my information, I was so confused on why she needed that just for a discount, but then after a bit I realized she was signing me up for the credit card without even telling me what it was for, I declined the credit card and her whole attitude changed, she became dismissive and was quick to finish up with me, just so unprofessional and deceiving that they stoop that low to get people signed up for their credit card.

i was in chicago with some friends for a little birthday trip. we went into ulta to just take a browse and look around, the lady who was checking me out was very rude to me the second i got up to the register. she had that tone in her voice where i felt rushed and like i was a bother. my total came out to around $44 and i was paying with cash so i handed her $60, she then proceeded to ask if i had 7 cents which felt odd to me, when i told her i didn’t she snarled and visibly got annoyed. the cashiers name is jacqueline. she was the most rude employee i have probably ever encountered, i don’t think she should be working in retail if she can’t maintain a positive/ professional attitude during a simple transaction

I came here to claim my birthday gift for the first time, and the cashier was very rude. I had no idea that you had to show a coupon as, for example, Sephora does not require that. I told the cashier that she could take other customers so I could find it. I stepped to the side and hoped to find it through my emails. Once I did, the cashier ignored me until I politely intervened before she could call next. She did not even tell me what the birthday products were and just pointed to them. Her attitude was very hostile and was an unfortunate experience. I would not return again.

I visited Ulta Beauty Salon services for a hair colour consultation. The lady who did the consultation for me was very passive aggressive and handled my hair roughly (ran her fingers through my curly hair without giving a heads up). She constantly cut me off on several occasions to let me know that I pronounced some words incorrectly. I felt like I was given a poor treatment and noticed that the she was extremely cheerful and respectful of the other customers who weren’t people of color. I left within 2 minutes of this experience because I was extremely uncomfortable. I decided to bring it up with the store manager and he invalidated my experience 👎👎👎

This location always super busy and it’s hard to find help most of the time, but when I see Dylan in the cosmetics area, I make sure to ask him for help. He is very knowledgeable and an amazing MUA! He never pushes products and makes the best recommendation based on what I tell him I’m looking for. Next time you visit this location and you need help in the cosmetics section ask for Dylan!

LARGE SELECTION!!! very worth making a trip to this location for this reason. I enjoyed walked through the whole store just to browse at all the items I can’t get at my usual ulta. Sometimes it’s busy especially considering it’s downtown but that doesn’t bother me

Tena is amazing, she made me a great blowout .. but I booked for blowout only and when I was guided to do the deep conditioning I thought it was part of my blowout appointment.. I then was surprised I had to pay for the deep conditioning. Maybe a miscommunication but wasn’t happy with that one .. becz other places ive been to already includes washing & conditioning service as part of the blowout

The woman with the dyed red hair had the worst attitude ever. Most workers here are lovely and polite, but the redhead had a nasty attitude the entire time. I came here to return a couple of items, and for some reason, the system was only allowing her to do separate transactions for the returns. I obviously apologized for the trouble, and she rolled her eyes and sighed repeatedly throughout the process. I’m sorry, but I was absolutely polite throughout the entire exchange, while she was giving me attitude for her having to do her job.

I came in to this Ulta location looking for something super specific. The first person who greeted me (didn’t catch his name, so sorry!) was very kind and wanted to help but wasn’t super familiar with the type of item I was looking for and so he introduced me to Jason. With very little explanation needed, Jason immediately knew what I was looking for and their very first recommendation was PERFECT! There wasn’t any stock of the product on the shelf, but Jason hunted one last one down for me to purchase. They made me feel super comfortable & confident in their suggestion, I can’t say enough about their excellent customer service and expertise! An all around lovely experience and I walked away with an incredible product (half magic eyeshadow in blue lizard, if you can get your hands on it!!) and some things I wasn’t looking for, but that’s just kind of how walking in to an Ulta goes…

This location has some of the rudest, nastiest, arrogant “managers” I’ve ever met. Adriana and Kathy are by far the worst and are honestly quite pathetic individuals . I’m not sure why Ulta has entrusted them to run a location when they give this location such a bad rep and name. They profile people, accuse them of stealing, and make up horrible accusations against them. Imagine accusing any person of stealing just because they carry a makeup bag (as I’m sure every woman does) with them with products they carry. That MANY other stores carry, HALF USED and almost empty products at that, even products they don’t sell at Ulta. It’s beyond disgusting.
