Had a hair appt at 10:15am but the store doesn't open till 11am. I banged on the door no open answered and then I finally called and when I said I was outside in 10 degrees weather they said they would come open the door. This is truly unacceptable for customers to be sitting out in the cold and doors are locked with no instructions. Please do better

Great fully stocked location welcoming! I hate that I went to the the Hyde Park location first. Theg disappointed me first. But I was very pleased with the South Halstead stores standards!

Rarely are my products out of stock. Team members are helpful and the store is always clean.

I hate to say it, but the negative reviews are accurate. They're out of stock of many many items, not just a few. And the employees are never anywhere to be found.

Placed an order for pickup and over 2 hours later the order was not ready. I go in store to see what’s going on and they weren’t even aware that a curbside order was placed. Waited 30+ minutes just to be told none of the items I ordered was in store with the exception of one, and the other that was in the order (just a different shade) I was made to purchase in store which made no sense to me. All in all it was an utter waste of time and I had to call customer service to get my money back. Ugh never again UPDATE: lol then they had the nerve to call me back OVER A MONTH LATER after this incident claiming that “if I didn’t pick up my order they’d put everything back”. I was confused because I hadn’t placed any orders since my horrible store experience, and the lady on the phone started rattling off a list of things I ordered back when all of this originally took place. Yikes Ulta. Get your stuff together because your ordering system is absolutely atrocious. Customers should not be receiving calls for in store pick up orders placed OVER A MONTH LATER.

If I could leave no star, I would! Came in with my daughter who is also an Ulta employee (but not at this location) so we could nab some hard to find items, wouldn't let her use her discount, the cashier smirked when we walked up to the register like something was funny, and before the lady in makeup ghosted us, she didn't attempt to help us find the foundation and tint we ended up purchasing. The security guard was the friendliest person there and greeted us warmly when we came in. We will Not be going back to this location, customer service is terrible.

Little sense of customer service. We try to get 20% off by applying for a credit card but they don’t offer it anymore Instead of applying a currently available 20% off coupon, the cashier just rings us and gets us out of there and then we find out in the app that there’s a coupon for 20% off.

I would avoid Ulta for color service. I went in the hair salon for the blonde color service. The initial service was good. I returned 5 weeks later for a touch up. I left with severely damaged hair. The hairdresser said she left the chemicals on too long. She offered at no cost to try again in 4 days. I initially agreed but later canceled the appointment. I had paid the initial $100 plus for the initial visit. I didn't want further damage to my hair and that is why I canceled. I can feel spots in my hair where it the ends have broken off. I will work on getting my hair healthy and finding a different hair salon for color service. THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING TO THIS HAIR SALON FOR COLOR SERVICE.

There weren't any staff available for help and those who were around were not very interested to help. I never had this issue in other Ulta stores in the city, this trip was a bit disappointing.

Got a haircut/color/blowout by Royal. I have never been happy with anyone who has done a blowout until today! Also the haircut and color looks amazing.

I ended up purchasing an item that happened to be defective and i won’t make it back in due to me leaving Chicago in a couple days, I called in to speak with someone and Trey helped me tremendously. He was very helpful and told me they had no problem assisting me with getting a new product in return once i come back in town. I am very thankful for him and the great customer service.

Got the 1hr/Formal makeup done with Royal H. She did not do a good job. Told her I did not want to have a heavy foundation base, yet that’s exactly what she did. I had to correct her several times on mistakes she made(makeup crumbling off, eyeshadow not blended, nonexistent blush, lashes falling off within minutes of application). Ulta- maybe have the less experienced people do the everyday makeup bookings. I spent a lot of money and my time in this. Not happy at all

I ordered some items for pick up. I walked in the store and no one said anything to. Everyone there working looked at me and never even acknowledged me. I don’t understand how you don’t acknowledge customers coming to spend money in a store. Really annoying and a reason I stopped going to the Hyde park location. No one asked me what I needed just looked at me like I was crazy.

Natalie, the salesperson was VERY helpful & courteous. She knew exactly where to go to find what I was looking for. Her manager was knowledgeable & patient. I was finally able to use a 🎁 card I had thanks to her efforts.

Staff is awesome but you can tell Ulta doesn’t spend the money to properly staff, which is a shame and stressful on the employees. The staff members are always super kind, knowledgeable, and ready to spend the time with you. Wish Ulta would actually would care enough to pay and staff appropriately.

Fernanda is my current stylist here. I truly appreciate her so much for not only her work, but for being so compassionate. She did my hair a month ago for a full head of highlights. Two days ago I came in to get my hair retouched, but the warmth didn’t lift to where it was when I first got my hair done. I called in and Ulta was able to get me in today. Thank you Fernanda for not only fixing the problem, but for your professionalism. I can’t wait to come back again to try a new hairdo!

Ulta, Thank God you had seat my wife and I could sit in while our daughters shopped, and we had just walked a mile because they love your store.
