I usually don’t do reviews, but I decided to leave one today I go into this Particular also to at least once a week every time I’m in there I’m getting followed. I’m getting “Do you need help”multiple times within a 10 minute span, after already letting them know I don’t need any help. The profiling is really getting out of hand. What’s even more assaulting was there was a white teenage girl there who stole lipgloss and I just turned my head because if they wasn’t watching me and the other black customer so hard they would have noticed that because it was right there by the registers where there was like two people employees there.

This is my go to place for makeup and hair products. Everyone is supper nice. If they Aren’t knowledgeable about the product they will still try to help me out.

I get that Ulta gets hit with theft a lot but the customer profiling at this Chisolm Trail location has gotten out of hand. One particular employee (skinny, young African American girl with tied back short hair) stalked me around the aisles during a recent visit. I came in wanting to grab one item but ended up grabbing more products to buy. I work in pharmaceutics so I read the skincare ingredients lists to make an educated decision. The employee who stalked me even stopped to stand in the same aisle, obviously pretending to stare at nothing while I read the products. It was so unsettling that I purposely tried to avoid just her. Eventually one other employee offered me the orange mesh shopping bag since my both hands got full. I didn't even have a purse or bag to look suspicious, just my work clothes and my phone. I wanted to buy more stuff but I felt so weirded out that I put some stuff back on the shelf. What's also crazy is there was a group of roudy young teens grabbing display body sprays and heavily spraying it all over themselves while standing right next to other customers and not a look or word was given to them.

The general manager here is so rude. Most of the employees here are you’re better off going to any other Ulta in the area.

The management here is super aggressive. I was shopping and a manager named Udy kept asking me if I needed help. I had already told her 3 times that I did not. I am vision impared and have sensitive skin so I have to take pictures of the products to read the small print on the labels. Udy confronted me and said loudly that I looked like I was taking pictures. As someone who values my privacy, I didn't feel like disclosing my disability to her in front of the whole store. When I was in another area of the store another manager named Lena approached me and loudly confronted me again about taking pictures. When I told her about my disability, she said, "you weren't taking pictures close enough for that to be true." I was in shock and disbelief at her audacity and disrespect. I felt embarrassed and shocked. I've never been so openly discriminated against before. I'm definitely reporting this to everyone who will listen.

Go see Keila in the salon! She is a miracle worker! I dyed my hair myself twice and it looked awful. She was able to correct it with some highlights and it looks amazing now! She's amazing and her work is 10/10!

Every time i come here i have a bad experience the manager i believe her name is lupe . always rude i always get followed and wasn’t asked if i needed help once . weird vibes from the staff. last time nobody wanted to shade match my mom they acted like it was some sort of inconvenience . do not recommend

My visit at this ulta location was not what I expected. I was being followed around like I was some criminal. When I did ask for help, I got horrible attitude from the GM, Lupe. I would not recommended coming here for anything other than the great hairstylists that always give me amazing experiences.

Went to Ulta beauty salon last Sunday. I booked with Carla and was expecting just a haircut but she gave me a refresh on my hair color with no extra charge. I am very pleased with this and will definitely be coming back. Carla is the best!

A bit conflicted by my experience. 3-4 different workers asked me if I needed help finding anything. 2 were helpful in showing me what I was looking for, but the same 3-4 people kept checking up on me and following me around. I was putting the tester eyeliner and lipgloss on my hand which I thought was acceptable, but one girl in particular wouldn’t stop staring at me from a distance and giving me weird looks. I didn’t mention this to the staff in person because I just wanted to leave, but a lot of the testers are completely broken or really old. Could use some quality control and less uptight workers. After reading other reviews, I’m convinced that management here trains their workers to suspect customers of stealing…

My experience was terrible. I had a pick up order and I went to the counter with my barcode like the email said. I ran in went to the counter and was met by Anthony, I shared I had my order barcode and nowhere on the barcode does it say have an ID and he said do you have anything with your name on it and I said I have my order confirmation and showed him my emails. He said no I need an ID to make sure it's you. I said I didn't have anything on me. He said without an ID I won't give you this order. I then asked him to cancel the order. He confirmed he would cancel it, it's funny how he didn't confirm it was me but canceled the order ? This doesn't sit well, further action will be taken. *I don't want to hinder anyone going to the benefit brow bar Carolina does wonders on eyebrows!*

Warda,the stylist, was friendly and did a great job. I had a keratin treatment, color, and trim. My hair feels soft and manageable. Everyone loved my hair. You all should book with her.

My experience at Ulta today was really bad. I was scheduled for a hair cut with Karla. She was acting very strange and smelled like she had been smoking marijuana. While shampooing my hair she wet my entire back because the bowl didn’t have the neck rest. She then proceeded to try to cut my hair. She seriously had no clue how to cut my hair and then kept measuring and cutting more and more every time. She never separated my hair to cut it correctly. When I complained to the manager he acted like he didn’t care. He also made me pay full price for the terrible hair cut I received. I have been a customer at Ulta for 4 years+ it is sad to see the lack of customer service that there is. I won’t be back.

First off. I’ve had my hair done here before. Shout to Carla! She’s amazing at what she does. This review is for the front store. Today I went in to purchase a few products just after getting a pedicure. I needed some makeup and skincare. I honestly just felt like spending money. Well I get in. I’m walking around the higher end beauty specifically looking for liquid blush. She asked if I was finding everything okay. I said yes and kept moving. The associates clearly roam around like sharks watching your every move. When I actually needed help they weren’t there. But when I didn’t they were watching me like prey. I then go over to the lower end makeup and I’m looking for again liquid blush and lip liner. There’s a man wearing a black hoodie with his hood up and black cut off shorts with blonde hair. He passed me a few times about the third time I started feeling weirded out. I look up from the morphe section to see him in the NYX section looking at me and we made eye contact. Why is a man in the makeup aisle not testing or looking at the makeup? Awkward…He passes me again , I ask “do you work here”. he says no and goes to make a “purchase” I think it’s loss prevention but I have never felt so uncomfortable and racially profiled like that before. I had a small crossover bag and a store basket I was putting my things in. I think one girl helped me find a product but after that I was clearly being followed. I won’t be coming back here. I spent about $75+ here and didn’t feel good about it. I wanted to put the products back from how uncomfortable I felt. Read the rest of the reviews it’s clearly not me they have a problem with BLACK customers and treat you like a thie when you step in.

Genesis give me a haircut at the salon. She did an amazing job!! I have had stylists that are afraid to cut it short but she cut it just like the picture I showed her. I will definitely be back!

I came in to return a gift my 10 year old daughter got for her birthday. Of course I didn't have a receipt because it was a gift. The 4 girls standing around at the cash registers said all they could offer me was a total of $2 for the 5 products I was returning. Usually, when it comes to good customer service, if you have a return without a receipt you can exchange for something else in the store. This wasn't the case at Ulta. I was awkwardly stared at by 4 employees and felt judged. I told them to just keep those products and I left.

I love this Ulta!! Ladies are super friendly here and always help me with my coupons when I have issues. When I find sales online they guide to me to the product and add another recommendation when I ask. Also did an online pickup and did that flawlessly as well, they got it ready super fast.

I received a broken perfume box from this store & brought back hoping to exchange. Kate who has a horrible attitude might I mention.. well she placed an order for the item and overcharged me. She refused to help and was rude when I explained the item was sold damaged. I asked for her name and she started talking back to me.. she sat there with an attitude and didn’t wanna help fix the issue. On the way out , she said goodbye twice using a smart mouth bratty tone.. why bother when you just were hateful to the customer? Even the manager above her didn’t care or help. Don’t hire brats. Won’t be back horrible service.

This has happened every time I come. I frequently shop here at the Sierra Springs location and the PROFILING from the manager LUPE (Guadalupe) needs to be discussed. I went with me and my 2 sisters which we were greeted at the front like always. In the course of 25 minutes Lupe strategically placed herself to watch us from afar around 5 times. There were around 4 other customers in store at the same time. They were not followed or heavily watched like me and my sisters. Disguising profiling shoppers like your asking them for "help" more than 3x is very uncomfortable. Corporate needs to know about this too because this isn't her first bad review.

I always enjoy going to this location Warda has done my hair the past 2 visits.She really listens ,is kind,has great customer service and does an excellent job.I got my hair highlighted and cut and everyone around me complimented how pretty my hair looked after i got done.I also love the rest of the staff when I go shopping there.Very friendly staff .

I recently had a disappointing experience at Ulta due to a manager whose behavior made my sister, boyfriend, and I uncomfortable. Throughout our visit, she consistently followed us and probably told her other workers on the floor to keep an eye on us. This made for an unwelcoming atmosphere, I think it was the manager she had braids and black attire. Corporate should address such issues to ensure a more pleasant shopping environment.
