Vanessa, the cash lead was exceptionally patient and helpful. I had a questionable return and was nervous about returning. I'm not a chronic returner but I had an open bottle of perfume, without the box that changed smell over time after becoming oxidized. At first I connected with Customer service online and they directed me to try to exchange in-store. When I arrived at this Harold Square location, Vanessa made me feel heard as a customer and reassured me she would take care of it. She was so kind in listening without judgement and let me aire my grievences. She even went out of her way to find me while shopping to make sure the credit went through and helped me find the items I wanted to exchange. I really appreciate her walking me through the process and accepting my return. Her interaction with me alone is why I will continue to be Platinum with Ulta and hopefully Diamond, if I ever get to spend that much. Thank you Vanessa for your superior customer service! Outside of that, this location is always well stocked and very clean. I appreciate that they allow customers to test even drug store makeup. Ulta > Sephora for this month!

Very sweet, The helper Oscar helped me figure out what products will be best for what I’m looking for. They also suggested me to other locations that would benefit me. Can’t thank them enough. I appreciate workers who care and give honest feedbacks. Definitely my go to Ulta for now!

Did a complicated return and Kayla F. was amazing! She went above and beyond to help me and handled the return with ease and a friendly smile despite it being complex from multiple orders. She was so helpful to the original person helping me with the return and acted like a manager on shift! She should be promoted because she displayed excellent managerial skills and people skills even when it was close to closing and busy during a holiday rush! Thank you Kayla F. for helping me with this much needed errand! Also fyi they were open until 10pm on Friday despite what their hours on Google said.

One of the prettiest cosmetic stores I've ever visited, It was definitely a wonderful experience for me. All the employees in the service and the cashiers, as well, were so polite and helpful and I found many products that I had never seen before. I can't wait to go back. We came close to the store closing. I couldn't find what I was looking for, I tried to ask 3 employees that were clumped together talking away in fragrance. But when I said excuse me 2 rolled their eyes and walked away and the 3rd just stared at me. When I asked if they had what I was looking for she shrugged her shoulders and walked in the other direction to the 2 she was just chatting with and continued their conversation. My daughter did get a guy who was working to get what she needed and he placed behind the register for her. The line was long as it was closing time. The reason it was long.....all but 1 poor girl was ringing everyone up! I get OT rules and things of that nature but a manager couldn't come help her? I felt so bad for this cashier while all her co workers clocked out and all stood around talking and some even glancing at the line. The line was even longer when we left and had to shoulder through all the non helpful co workers to leave the store. Terrible customer service!

cashier mad rude and for what i said yes to wanting a bag and then she forgets my bag and when i ask for a bag again she’s like “you didn’t ask for a bag” with attitude and side eyes me to her co worker like WHAT 😭 like i understand that she probably had a long day and forgot like whatever but with attitude is crazy over a bag?? like just give me my bag 🤦🏻‍♀️

My girlfriend is a long time customer here at Herald Square Ulta and everyone has always been so nice but in the recent times we have been here, we have experienced poor customer service from Eli. We went to pick up my girlfriends birthday gift back in October and when he was ringing us up he had a nasty attitude for no reason. I understand after a long shift, you must be tired but as someone also in customer service that is not an excuse for being rude unprovoked. This is very disappointing from his end. This is not a one time thing, we just shrugged it off as just a bad day but we have shopped there recently and his nasty attitude is still there when he ringed us up.

i get it's holiday season but some of the employees here do not understand customer service at all and make for a horrible in-store experience. The 2nd star is for the other employees who are actually nice people
