2025: I needed to come back to update this because I'm so happy with the service I've received from Tyler even 5 years after my first time posting. He moved out of state for a while but thankfully came back, and my hair has never been happier. It is such a relief to have found someone who listens to me and provides the cuts I've been looking for my entire life. 2018: I got my hair cut last week for the first time in over two years. I have very long, low maintenance hair. No color, simple cuts, yet no hairdresser has ever been able to give me a cut that I am happy about after the fact. This is usually because they make me feel bad about not getting it cut more often or cut more off than I have asked for. I reluctantly made an appointment because it was clear that my hair health was suffering. I braced myself for comments about the state my hair was in and went in willing to lose 4 inches. I had the exact opposite experience with Tyler. He was nothing but positive and complimentary about my hair, and for the first time ever, trimmed my hair equal to or LESS than I said they could! I have never left a hair appointment as happy as I left this one. My hair is still long the way I like it, healthy feeling, and is styling incredibly well. I'm disappointed that it took me so long to have a good salon experience, but I am delighted to have found Tyler. I will never go 2 years without a cut again.

If you haven’t stopped in to the new and improved Cascade Station- you’re missing out. They have a clean, stocked and organized store- plus engagement from the staff which is so hard to find. Every time I stop in I feel welcomed, supported and leave feeling heard. Thank you Cascade for treating your customer with love!!💗

I usually don’t shop at Ulta unless my wife wants me to go with her, I was alone this time, and I really wanted to buy her a bottle of DIOR J’ adore L’or for Christmas, I was in there for at least ten minutes, no one said can I help you, no greeting at all, finally I asked employee if someone could get perfume for me since it’s lock, he called for help, I waited a little more, no one showed, told the kid I was disappointed with the lack of service, and left, they weren’t busy, it was a Tuesday afternoon. The in- person shopping experience is not good these days, I rather sit at home, and order, and you wonder why so many businesses are going under.

Today I braved the busy ulta right before Christmas for a last minute present that I have struggled finding. Matt saw me struggling to find the set and swooped in and went above and beyond calling other locations and found it!!! Plus put it on hold for me. Excellent customer service! Thank you Matt! 😊

Got some highlights done by Tyler, he dedicated so much time and attention to what I wanted and I left feeling so amazing with gorgeous hair. The color and detail is perfect. He was so kind and easy to talk to, not to mention budget friendly prices! Definitely recommend coming to him for any and all hair services :)

It was busy but not one person asked me if I needed help even though not all the cosmetic people were busy. Couldn't find what I wanted so I bought something else instead

I rarely do full face makeup. I'm a swimmer...so I am in the water 7 days a week ! I went to ULTA because I want to look a little dressier at my daughters upcoming wedding! I was fortunate to be assisted by a very fine makeup artist by the name of Christian. She works with Mac, Estee Lauder and Clinique! (Remember that I typically avoid makeup.) My experience with Christian was lovely. She was very knowledgeable and patient and showed me what to do with a few products and wrote everything down. It's refreshing to be treated like a valued customer ! Christian brought over her manager Suzie to meet me. The store has been transformed by Suzie in the past few months. I have been going to ULTA for a long time and you can see a difference in this ULTA at Cascade Station where the managers treat the employees on the floor with equality and respect and friendship. Thank you again for your time and I will return!

Ulta has lost my business!!! I bought an Ulta brand setting spray about a week before. Little did I know that it was an old one. I take it home and like usual, I use it to mix with my MAC eye shadow. It mixed really weird. Didn't do what it normally did when mixed (made a creamy spread I use for my brows) but instead destroyed it. It also felt super weird on my face. I took both items back to the store. Even though I didn't buy the eye shadow at Ulta, I figured they would replace it since it was an Ulta brand setting spray that destroyed it. They refused to comp me a new one. Hell, they didn't even offer me a discount on the new eye shadow I had to buy. Pissed!! It was Ulta that destroyed it, so they should replace it.

I went in a few weeks ago to try to buy some makeup, but there weren't many employees working the floor that day. I did my best on my own, but it's been a while since I wore makeup so of course, I ended up back again last Thursday to return something. Brandon ended up helping me shop and they were so kind and gave me some really great advice. They made my shopping experience so fun and I walked out with products suitable for my skin, and the makeup recommendations have proven to be ideal. I highly recommend seeking out Brandon if you have any insecurities about buying makeup or just need some guidance. They were very knowledgeable.

Ulta's hairstylists are RACIST! If you are a black woman or a woman of color, please do not get your hair done there. I scheduled my appointment three weeks ago, and when I got there, the lady (Megan) assigned to do my hair looked at me with disgust. I could tell she did not want to do my hair just by her expression. I made an appointment at the salon three weeks in advance and specifically asked if they had experience working with 4C hair. The person on the phone assured me that they did. Since all the black hairstylists I knew were fully booked on weekends, I had to wait about two months before getting an appointment. I didn't want to wait that long, so I tried Ulta Beauty, especially since it's only 10 minutes from my house. When I made the appointment over the phone, the scheduler told me it would take 3 1/2 hours to get my hair done. However, when I arrived at the salon, the hairstylist assigned to me said she only had two hours to do my hair before moving on to another customer, which was a lie. I could tell she didn't want to do my hair. Even if that were the case, I would have appreciated her being professional about it, but what do you expect from a discriminatory person.

When we were going to the airport we needed A few last minute items and we weren't even sure exactly what we were getting but when we walked in James was right there he was awesome and helped us find Everything plus More and Charmaine helped us Check out we felt like we were the VI p's of the store and everyone at this Location is Amazing and the vibe is fresh but again we Really appreciate James with his High energy and his cariness

Had to go to multiple Ulta stores since the product I wanted was available at two different stores. After just leaving the first Ulta with a horrible customer service experience, I came here to pickup my online purchase and had the most helpful lead cashier help me with what I needed for my online order and my in store purchases in regards of a gift receipts. I believe her name was Odesa and she took the time to listen to what I needed help with and was able to help. She ROCKED today and hope this energy goes for all locations!! Thank you so much!!

My girlfriend and I did curbside pickup and when the Latino worker came out she advised to look over the product to make sure we are satisfy with it. The packaging appeared to be damaged and we told her and she told us to come inside and swap it rudely. We go inside the store and took the time to locate the replacement items to swap it all out, afterwards we go up to the line and when it was our turn the Latino worker didn’t bother to assist us, she seemed to be annoyed since she was appeared to be off work then pushed it off to coworker and it didn’t seem to matter to her to provide assistance and did not communicate to her red headed coworker about the situation and we explained the situation multiple times and she didn’t comprehend it was a swap for the boxes being damaged. Overall waste of time and lack of communication to horrible attitudes from the workers. This location is the worst Ulta we been to and I don’t suggest anybody to go here the customer support is the worst.

They can be overpriced for items you can find at a drugstore, but damn near the ONLY place to find quality products with clean ingredients or from foreign brands.

James helped me with shampoo and conditioner and was extremely knowledgeable and spoke to my science mind. I didn’t get the names of the people who helped me cash out and price check items but they also were super kind. Good reviews and staff is hard to come by so I decided to let yall know what’s up.❤️🔥

An employee named Gage was so helpful. I was looking for a good lip liner for someone who doesn’t usually wear lip products, and they matched me with the perfect product! It was a Stila calligraphy lip stain, I love it already!

I placed an order for curbside which I find to be very helpful having 2 babies under 2. I accidentally clicked the im here button , but wasn’t there. So an employee called me to ask where I was at. Upon telling her what happened she speaks to me with a rude demeanor suggesting when I arrive to come inside and pick up my order. The workers at this location are always unhelpful, rude and never seem to want to do their job.

I was visiting Portland on Monday the 8th. I stopped in to purchase and item that I hadn’t bought in awhile so I couldn’t remember the brand. I was in the store, searching, for about a half an hour and not one employee greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. There were only 3 other customers in the store but plenty of girls, chatting amongst themselves. I even had two different girls walk by me in an aisle and say excuse me. I finally found the product I was looking for but I will never go back to that store.
