As soon as I walked in, Samantha welcomed me to Ulta. She could see I was lost and made herself available for me to ask a question even though she was the only cashier handling a busy line. Ulta can be an intimidating place for a guy, so it meant a lot 🙏 At checkout, she was so friendly and personable which is uncommon these days. I would have definitely given her my number to sign up for the Ulta rewards, but I work for the CIA, so I had to politely decline 🙃😎🤣 I don’t usually leave reviews, but good service should be recognized.

As I'm making my third and fourth appointment at the Beauty Salon & Benefit Brow Bar I have to give this Ulta a huge shout out! From the kind, knowledgeable, friendly Beauty Advisors to the Salon and Brow Bar! I've been seeing Cheyenne 💫 for my hair coloring, cut and style. I can't say enough kind words about her. She listens to what you'd like to have done and you absolutely can tell she cares about her work and importantly you. I suffer from hair loss and was worrisome to see a new stylist as I feel self conscious. Like I said she makes you feel very comfortable. My hair hasn't been nor felt this happy & healthy for a long while. I can't recommend her enough! I've also been seeing Kayla for my Brow laminations & tint. She is a Brow Wizard 🪄 She is most kind and let's you fully know what to expect at each step. She leaves me with an absolutely perfect laminated look. And my brows are horrid to deal with! She knows all the types of brows we have out there! Just go! This location has a great assortment of cosmetics and skin care. I had some extra time at my last appointment and decided to take advantage of the Hair event. I was looking for the new Lolavie hair paste. They looked like it was out of stock, however a kind Beauty Advisor quickly looked it up on her scanner & boom she was right back with a full supply of it. Everyone is genuinely happy to help. As a person who cares about great customer service this location has it. I often speak to the manager, Lisa ✨️ at this location. I always find her kind, happy & most helpful! She's usually zooming around the store to help customers or her employees. I mustn't miss the fact of the cleanliness of this location! They actually pride themselves on having a clean, well kept and clean! Yay! I believe you can find nearly anything you're looking for here. Having many unfortunate experiences at my local Ulta locations here in California. I'm beyond ok and happy traveling to Reno to see the smiling faces at this Ulta for the best experience all around! More locations could take a page or two from this Ulta! This is my happy and honest review!

I’ve only shopped here a few times. I do not like to give out my phone number. When prompted by the cashier to give a number, I politely declined. The cashier immediately shifted her demeanor and began telling me, “we don’t sell your data.” I continued to decline. She huffs at me several times and I tell her, “I just don’t feel comfortable giving it out.” And she huffs again and starts to talk over me. This interaction was incredibly off putting. At no point did I do anything besides politely decline giving my phone number. I understand employees may be penalized, but there was no reason for treating me like that while I was attempting to retain my privacy. This entire interaction was on the heels of pressuring a girl younger than I to sign up for the stores credit card. The girl said no multiple times and sounded very uncomfortable. At the end of their interaction, she said “it’s not too late to change your mind.” Apparently no does not mean no to this stores employees.

I LOVE Ulta. About a year ago I was in a pinch for a blowout. I took a chance and called Ulta, they had an availability. I barely even knew they had a full salon. My stylist was Cheyenne. She was amazing. My blowout was awesome. Then, I started using her for my color, also fantastic. She has been my go-to girl for all things hair ever since! I cheated on her a few times because of her schedule but no one is as good as her. I am so grateful for her professionalism, expertise in color, cuts, and style-she is the best. I would recommend Ulta and Cheyenne for their salon services. Not to mention their pricing is affordable! Thank you Ulta. Becky G.

I went in one time to look for lipstick. The white old lady asked me if she can help me with something in a slightly aggressive way, as if I'm not up to any good. I noticed then she started following me around every aisle I went to. I've never felt more anxious about going to a store to look for makeup. Felt so uncomfortable. Never going back.

If you aren’t white, please do not come to this Ulta. The amount of racism from the employees especially the white elderly lady who I’m assuming is a manger is actually insane. Last week my boyfriend and I went in to pick up some things I needed. I started to browse and my boyfriend pointed out how the “managers,” im assuming, were following this African America couple. And the crazy part is they don’t try to hide it neither. Weather they were stealing or not why were they making it so obvious? The lady was not even a foot away from them and would just follow them when I mean like making it obvious it was so obvious. The man was in the perfume section and the white elderly lady was just staring at him in his face, it was so uncomfortable. Then the other manager was doing the same thing with his wife. The couple had walked past us and I heard the girl say “ let’s just leave” eventually. The manager who was following the wife heard my boyfriend talking under his breathe saying how he was uncomfortable and how there is no way he’s actually witnessing them doing that to them. Then after they left, that same manager started following us. I didn’t realize until we left but my boyfriend had told me after we checked out and left. I had made a review about 8 months ago for this same Ulta after that same elderly lady followed us around the store. I didn’t even realize she had followed me until I threw away my candy wrapper in a trash can before the check out line and I felt her hover over the trash can right when I took two steps away from it. I’m assuming she thought I was stealing or something and threw a product wrapper away. It’s insane how they’re is so many reviews about the employees here and all of them still work there.

We stopped in today, and Angelica was awesome. She really helped my wife feel as beautiful as she looks as our anniversary is just around the corner. Great conversation and great results. Already scheduled her follow up.

I was looking for two things. OPI start to finish nail polish. Which they didn't have. 🥴 Then a product called WOW. The sales person looked for the nail polish for me and couldn't find it. But!! She knew where the WOW product was and took me to it. Guess I need to go to Sally's to find my nail polish.

I am extremely disappointed with my salon services, and the manager Lisa, that I spoke to. This is the third visit where the back of my hair is a different color than the front. I contacted the stylist who did my hair, and told her that I was having the same issues as I had the previous couple of times, when I had to go back in to have her correct the color before. The front of my hair is one color, and the back is another. After speaking to Cheyenne, my stylist, she told me I needed to go somewhere else and put her manager, Lisa, on the phone. That manager, Lisa, offered zero apologies and had a definite tone, and indifference to my situation immediately. Lisa said that Cheyenne, my stylist, told me that those are from old low lights that had faded, and that's why there is a color difference. No, that isn't what she told me, at least not when I was in the salon after having my last highlight done. Cheyenne told me when I left the salon on February 14th, that she did not pull my ends through. That is exactly what the problem is! You can see where she touched up the roots, and left the rest of the hair out of the foil. Problem is, she didn't use the right volume to process my highlights, so what was pulled through looks orange, as well as the small section at the root that she touched up where she didn't pull the ends through. They didn't lift! I have attached photos... I literally look like a clown! You can see that it did not process correctly. You can see the discoloration against my scalp at the base of the root. This isn't The old low lights growing out and fading as they're trying to dismiss it as! I leave for vacation in a few days, which is why I got my hair done in the first place, and I can't find someone else to get me in before I depart, so I am leaving with Platinum blonde hair in the front and orange hair in the back. How can they treat a long time customer of Ulta like this? Go find someone else? Despite the fact that I'm leaving on vacation and have very little time to take care of this. It's embarrassing to look like this, especially for a special event. Instead of learning from the experience as a stylist, and correcting her mistake, my stylist and her manager decided to discard me as a customer. I was perfectly happy coming back, because I know it takes time to learn how someone's hair reacts to the different chemicals, etc. I wasn't going to give up on Cheyenne because of mistakes, despite being repeated, I liked her. Lisa offered a partial refund, and zero apologies. A partial refund? To fix all of the discoloration somewhere else? What a joke. Thanks for leaving me hanging! Don't waste your time here... They don't value you as a customer. When it's a mistake on their end, instead of making it right, you are disposable to them!

12.19.23: If you're a girly girl or girly guy, then of course you love Ulta! Definitely a one stop shop for quality brands. If you sign up for the Ulta Rewards, they give you a birthday freebie and double points during your entire birthday month. Birthday freebies differ each month. December's birthday freebie was from Clinique. Also, for all you last minute holiday shoppers I snapped a pic of the holiday hours.

Cheyenne is the best hair stylist here! She's a master stylist with 20 years of experience. I didn't even know they had salon services, but once I found out, I had to try it. I was pleasantly surprised! I got a full highlight, cut, and conditioning treatment. It was very affordable. She used a lot of foils for my full highlight! She's a great conversationalist, too. Definitely the best shampoo and conditioner massage! I recommend getting the extra conditioning treatment! Bonus massage. I felt like a million bucks after leaving. She's definitely going to be my regular girl and salon now!

Seems like everytime I go inside this store, the manager (white old lady with white hair) always has a bad attitude. For instance I go in & she’s on the phone practically yelling at the customer over an online order. I get retail isn’t always fun but lighten up a bit?
