This location has a serious problem of being suspicious of literally everyone. It could be race given the location which is odd since not everyone who walks in that isn’t white is going to steal, I promise you. I live in Roseville and shop regularly at that location with no issues. I only pickup here when I’m in the area for work. You can’t make a simple return without the manager becoming involved and unboxing everything themselves after the cashier already has. Both Roseville & Rocklin locations have never done weird shit like this. I ordered over $100 worth of items & brought them here the following day to get it off my credit card. Nothing was opened. I told the cashier this and she damaged one of the boxes (of the most expensive item) to check herself. The security seal from the manufacturer was still on. It’s not a huge deal like some people tend to make it, but I definitely will limit what I buy and how often I shop here. For people of color, maybe just go somewhere else.

I took a huge L at Ulta tonight. I was very disappointed in the service I received. I was more disappointed in the lack of support and service displayed by the cashier, Iulia. Tonight was one of those nights that I really needed help. I was tired from work and under the weather. I went in for concealer, lip gloss, and lash glue. I asked Iulia if they had Juvia’s Place in the color Dolce Latte. She told me they were completely “sold out”. I knew that was not true because the shelves were full. I just needed help searching because my eyes were very tired. I asked her for Kiss lash glue and she said they were out. There was no effort at all. So I knew I was on my own. I walked around a bit to reset my eyes and found the lip gloss in the shade I wanted, Dolce Latte. As she rung up my items I thought she asked if I wanted to use my Ulta rewards card and points. However she said use the card and double the points. She snapped at me like I did something wrong in asking to use my points. She appeared to be irritated with me because I didn’t hear what she said.I also wanted to use my $5 of $15 but I felt so uncomfortable at that point. I just really wanted to maximize my savings and shopping experience. I wish the cashier could have been more knowledgeable and willing to help me look for the lip gloss. Instead of mispronouncing the name and telling me they were all “sold out”. I really miss the days when the cashiers help with the coupons, rewards, and points. It made you want to buy more items. The sad part of it all is that Iulia was not busy with a line of customers. She was just standing behind the register, and she didn’t call anyone else to help me. Thank you Ulta.

So today will be the last time I shop at this store! Every time I go in they follow me around like Im going to steal but not helpful if I need assistance?!! They’re not friendly and they’re straight snobs and I always spend well over $100 each time I shop here. This particular store needs serious customer service training, and they need to smile and be more helpful not Look at you up and down like you’re an alien. Sephora is the opposite, great customer service and that’s where I’m going to shop from now on✌️PS Im brown 🤎

I’ve been coming to Ulta for over 6-8 years for my haircuts- never have I had such a rushed and shit service like the one I received yesterday (on a non busy day, early in the morning) with Marina at the Natomas location. i originally scheduled for a deep condition(only). But I trusted her and she talked me into doing a more expensive olaplex treatment that didn’t even last the time it was suppose to-she set a timer for 10 min and washed it out within 3-5 min. Then went over the texture of my ends and I allowed her to cut 3 inch off- My hair is now UNEVEN and I paid for a treatment that wasn’t made to do what it was suppose to. &again I paid for a cut that left me uneven and I was charged for a “signature haircut” when all it was-was a trim- to get rid of my split ends.. isn’t that advertised at a cheaper price? I’m so disappointed. Never coming here again! Mind you I paid 100$ for something so simple to get such a shit rushed service..

Rude workers. Went in for a brand that they didn’t carry at this specific location(understandable). But the girl really didn’t want to be at work. Asked her what could be similar to the brand. BIG SIGH and gets on the walkie for someone to come and assist me. *mind you: she was helping someone right before me with ALL products* Other worker comes to me and says “this is your color” girl…. I am not trying to look like an Oompa Loompa! She turned around and LEFT! So I put the product down, cleaned my hand off and left the store. Won’t be at this location anymore

Horrible experience I can not shop in peace without these working staring or following me like if I’m stealing something , very unappreciated that guy with blonde pink hair and one other girl made my shopping experience horrible , people should not have to feel like that while shopping or looking

The Indian hairstylist I do not recommend. She will charge you extra without even telling you. She is mean as well will give you mean comments about your hair. Ulta does not care they will just say “it varies by stylist”. So it’s okay they are rude? Also charging you for trimmming hair when not even telling the customer before?? They will get you in the end when you pay for it. Do not do the Indian hairstylist. I paid double what I was supposed to pay because the Indian hairstylist will scam you.

Worst experience ever. No one called to tell us that the stylist wasn't there anymore. I even received a text confirmation. The manager saw us waiting and didn't even talk to us for 30 minutes to tell us they couldn't help us. Never going back. Waste of time.

Came to get my birthday freebie and they switched up how to get it. I used to be able to enter my phone number. Lady at the front was rude and told me I needed a QR code. Told me to download the app and reset password. Waited there for a couple moments. She neglected to tell me it would take 24 hours and suggested I call the customer line or could redeem online. Customer line tried to send me back to them. Wish they made it easier on people to get their birthday gift but unfortunately this was not a pleasant experience.

Absolutely terrible. I was shopping with my girlfriend and some fat, ugly female with crusty brown and yellow hair came up to my girlfriend and accused her of stealing. We just walked in, and I was the one holding merchandise. Pathetic. The staff is truly awful.

If I could leave -10 stars I would. I walked in with my boyfriend, and when I was looking at merchandise an overweight woman with dyed blonde hair came up to me and accused me of stealing. Her name is Emily H. I’d go to a different Ulta or avoid the chain all together if I were you.

I’m not sure if everyone knows they have a salon at this location, well I got a full highlight from Patti she’s new to the location. She did amazing job on my hair the best so far. If you wanna go blonde or add some highlights to ur hair she’s the one. My hair was perfect.

I was there a week ago and the associate by the name of Jeanette was so incredibly sweet and helpful! I was in a hurry and flustered trying to find my shades for foundation and she exceeded the help. Love love this. I typically don’t like to get assistance because the younger associates try to pitch things i honestly don’t even need but this reassured me in honest customer service. She was awesome, definitely will be back for in store shopping. Thanks!

* AS A PERSON OF COLOR DO NOT SHOP HERE* I wish I had read the reviews prior to shopping here, this store is always out of stock on things that are on sale and their perfume selection is absolute garbage. On top of that, I was followed by the security the entire time I was in the store and when I looked at her and laughed in her face, she stopped following me. I'll never shop here again .

this has to be one of the worse ultras I have been to , I walked in here looking for some things for a gift , I was approached about 7 times and felt really uncomfortable . I had products in my basket that I already knew I was going to buy and was browsing for a little more . I kid you not every time I picked up something someone approached me . I 100%sure it was because I was wearing a backpack , most days I have a mini backpack because I have a toddler and that day he wasn’t with me , they assume everyone is there to steal based on previous reviews . Left all my stuff and went to Sephora , I will never return to this store !

I stopped by this ulta after running in target for a few items , and initially the experience was great but as I was going to the cash register line the elderly security guard and older lady next to them were pointing at me and talking about my target bag and that I may have stolen something . Keep in mind I am standing maybe 20 feet away and can hear their entire conversation . I did not steal anything and would have been happy to show receipt of my target purchase and items if asked for , I did previously work at this ulta, and store experience has declined extremely . I will most likely not return to this store .
