Amanda did my hair. She changed my appointment twice then I had to wait an extra 30 mins. And tbh that’s not even the real problem. She said my hair would be $300 that was fine a little on the high side with short and thin hair but I said okay. She got the color great but she never once told me to trim a half in would cost 79$ she told my friend and I she would do the trim.. I ended up paying 379$ and I asked her why she never said anything and she said she forgot. How do you “forget” I said this is not fair. I called and no one ever called me back. I will never use Ulta for hair again!! They charge way too much!

I just came into, and I wanted to get a “Halo Taco” from Simplynailogical (YouTuber) nail polish. The people there were very unhelpful, they did greet me. But I had to approach one after it felt like they’d been just watching me (it felt like they thought I was going to steal something) but I approached one asking for help, basically she said no she’s never heard of it and to try Sally’s. Fine so I left. I went to just order it online in my car, when I got the product later that day (shipping) I realized Ulta had some at the La Cantera location (I looked up my zip code and the site said there was none in the area). If they weren’t so concerned about me being in their store and ACTUALLY try helping me by calling the other location, I’d probably be writing a positive review. But they just seemed to want me OUT of there asap. I get it ppl steal but I don’t think profiling is right because I’m just a person. I just feel totally uncomfortable even going back honestly. But that’s what they want so :/

I tried to pick up my in store order today, but was denied because their systems were down. As I was leaving, an associate was taking out a pick up order to another customer. I waited for that associate to come back inside and asked again about my order thinking their systems were maybe back up, but was told to come back tomorrow and maybe I can pick it up then. If my order was paid for and ready, they should have just written down my information and marked the order as picked up once their systems were back online. I shouldn't have to come back another day if I was already there.

I wish there were negative stars for the salon at this location. Their poor time management skills and lackluster hair coloring skills had me leaving the store after 4 hours and a half with chunks of my hair falling out, my hair darker than when I came in and my hair feeling like straw. No haircut, no styling, nothing… get this, they wanted to go home so they advised me to come back the next day! Horrendous customer service. It was almost like they truly believed what they were doing was ok. Like that’s a normal ask for a customer. Stay away! Especially if you’re a curly hair gal—- they’ll say anything to get you in the chair and steal your money, taking your hair down the path of complete destruction. Update: my scalp is so burnt that pieces of it are flaking off. The damage done is unbelievable. STAY AWAY! I asked for a master/elite stylist. She clearly was neither.

What a dump. I went there to pick up some Lanolips lip balm because the website stated it was in stock at this location. The shelves were literally empty except for two balms. The store was so unorganized with products falling over on the shelves and just messy.

Be careful and check expiration dates on items you buy. I almost bought Love wellness debloat pills that were expired in 2023. They have all pills up front right at the entrance. When I let the staff know they were rude and just took it from me, not even bothering to check other pills. Then I looked at another one and it was also expired 04/24! They just pretend nothing happened and said nothing to me, just took the second one and that’s it. No comments, no apologies. At least they should have checked all the items straight away before someone buys expired pills! So disappointed.

Chrystel! Chrystel was absolutely amazing! She helped recommend some great products for a beginner set up, without trying to over sell me. I am very pleased with the level of customer service and knowledge she demonstrated. Definitely coming back to this location for all my beauty needs!

I really wish Ulta would consider extending their curbside pick up times to at least 6 pm. Went inside today to pick up my curbside order and stood there for a few minutes by the pick up counter. Everyone seemed to be engaged with themselves and less on customers around them. When someone finally got to me, there was no smile, no “hey” , just all around no customer service. They just seemed more annoyed than anything.

Recently I purchased a product from this location but I didn’t notice that cashier doesn’t give me receipt when I back to return it there was no purchasing history because that day cashier didn’t add my purchase information. For the cashier fault I didn’t return my product. Make sure when purchasing any items take receipt and they add purchasing information. More training needed to their employees I wouldn’t go that location

Walked into Ulta closer to noon and cashiers had no smiles on their faces. Didn't even get greeted they just looked. Only one person who greeted us was the manager. Very sweet still checking in on us seeing if we still needed anything. While the associate took a minute to recognize we were in line. While they fought with a piece of equipment that was jammed. It does not take two associates to fix it. More training needed and lack of products at this location.

Went in to try out some new makeup but needed to know what color to buy. I approached what looked to be a manager to ask for some help and she radioed an employee to help and said she would be right there. After about 5 mins, I asked if she was on her way...the "manager" stated she was helping someone else and would be right over...no problem...but why are three people ( including manager) just sitting around talking about lunch breaks...while one girl just helps. I just left. I was ready to spend some money but will find another Ulta to go to! Horrible service!

The stylists are all wonderful! Bianca is the best! She has been my stylist for a couple of years and has always been so accommodating and great to chat with. I would urge Ulta Corporate to renovate the bathroom there. It is disgusting. There is a broken sink, faucet, and floor tiles. It is so gross.

Salon review: I went in for highlights and left with brown hair. It was so disappointing. My stylists said give it time and it will wash out? I called the manager and she was so kind and got me in the following weekend. I ended up with blond highlights at my next appointment but incredibly fried hair. It’s frizzing on the ends beyond anything I’ve experienced except when I was a kid and bleached my own hair with my friends. It’s so fried that I am trimming my own hair to try and correct it. I called again (this isn’t normally the type of person I am) and the manager offered me to come in for a conditioning treatment.

The choppiest hair cut I think I’ve ever received… My stylist was nice but for sure did not give me what I wanted and I even kept saying I do not like the bang part and then it felt like more and more hair kept being cut off. I am a mom I don’t have the time to style my hair everyday and for it to look like this is just heart breaking. I don’t even want to go back to see if they can fix it I don’t trust the salon anymore.. I even went to a higher rank stylist so I would get someone with more years and knowledge. $70 down the drain for me to feel ugly and worthless… when I really wanted to feel pretty. Overall just a bummer..

Omg Nasrin!!!!! My new BFF!!! I only get highlights 1x a year!! I have never in 54 years had such an amazing experience she knew exactly what I wanted & delivered!! I already booked my touch up in 2 months because I love my hair so much. I love her work & the price is reasonable!! I will never use another stylist!!

While shopping, I was approached by someone who appeared to be an Ulta employee who asked if I needed help. I told her that I was looking for a specific brand and she said she could lead me to the display. Once there, she began to give me unsolicited skin care advice and really hyped up the Peach Slices brand, which I was not there to purchase. This was uncomfortable because I was just trying to shop in peace and also a lifetime of getting unsolicited skin care advice has left me more sensitive to it. I also did not appreciate feeling quizzed about my skin care. Not only this, but she gave unsolicited and incorrect information about a different product and its ingredients. I was so uncomfortable that I decided to give feedback to a manager. The manager was kind and also said that the person who approached me was likely a Peach Slices (Peach and Lily) representative, not an Ulta employee. Not once did the person who approached me disclose they were a Peach Slices sales rep. I’m unsure if she had a name tag on that disclosed this info but I don’t typically look at people’s chest (where name tags usually are) and she was also dressed like an Ulta employee (all black) and she also approached me to ask if I needed help. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 3 because the manager was understanding and because the person was a brand sales rep and not an actual Ulta employee. I also want to use this review to give a heads up to others that you might be approached by a brand representative who won’t disclose their affiliation. I will be checking name tags from now on!
