On 9/20, I made a purchase that included several items. Shortly after, I discovered that these same products were part of the Ulta Fall Haul Sale starting on 9/22, discounted by 40%. Since I hadn’t used any of the items, I returned to the store with my receipt to request either a price match or a return and repurchase to take advantage of the sale. While I understand Ulta’s policy of not price-matching, what occurred next was deeply concerning. I was told by the manager, Angela (short, pale skin, dark brown-ish faded hair with faded green streaks), that I could not repurchase the items I had returned — a policy she claimed was in place but could not produce or cite. When I asked to escalate the issue or see this policy in writing, she refused to provide any additional help and admitted she was the one who made the decision, even though, according to corporate, store managers do not have the authority to create return policies on behalf of a Ulta. I was then told to visit another store or return the next day to make the purchase. This was an incredibly frustrating and confusing situation, and Angela’s dismissive and condescending attitude only made matters worse. To add to my frustration, when I visited the Kellogg location in Wichita, KS, I was informed by their team that no such policy existed. Their staff was professional, polite, and understanding. They even expressed knowledge of Angela’s behavior, implying that this may not be the first time customers have had issues with her. I also contacted your corporate customer service, who confirmed that the manager had no grounds to refuse my purchase and apologized for the inconvenience, filing an escalated complaint on my behalf. They, too, agreed that no such policy exists. The fact that a store manager can invent policies on the spot, refuse service, and act in such a disrespectful manner is unacceptable. No one who behaves in such a disrespectful and disgusting manner towards customers should hold any position of power for any company. If this is what Ulta deems as management material, then I sincerely hope they re-evaluate their standards. I hope Ulta will take immediate action to address this situation. Managers should not be permitted to fabricate policies or treat customers with such disrespect, as it damages your brand's reputation.

My recent visit to Ulta Beauty was fantastic. The staff was incredibly helpful in assisting me to find my beauty necessities and encouraged me to try new things. They were very knowledgeable about products suitable for each skin type. I highly recommend this store for anyone looking for expert advice and a great shopping experience.

I had the most amazing experience with AJ. I went in to grab conditioner and left with a lot more. Makeup helps a woman’s confidence, but another women’s kindness and compassion are even more valuable. Thank you AJ!!!!

I have been going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to leave this review. First let me start with I am from the West Coast. I moved to Kansas a year ago. I understand that things in Kansas are different. But with a large corporation like Ulta I expected more consistency. This review is for both locations I visited Greenwich and Kellogg. Customer service is usually top notch with Ulta. That has been far from the case here. I've had everything from employees not knowing where or if they carry a product. Which I searched the store and found it myself. To just being completely ignored. Samples all being broken or missing. Empty cleanup stations But my last experience was what prompted this review. I recently had my eyelash extensions removed. So I asked for recommendations for a daytime and night time look for my eyes. I had a employee point to a $70 palate. I asked if she could show me or give me some ideas of how to achieve these looks. She said YouTube is a good place. Quote "that's how we all learn" In the past at locations outside of Kansas. I have been sat down in a chair and shown how to achieve the look. I have not seen anyone in the chairs ever at either location. In the end I bought a lower cost palate. Had my customer service been better. I wouldn't have had any problem buying the more expensive palate I am hoping this review will prompt a change in the quality of customer service. I am moving to Arizona. I am looking forward to getting back the Ulta experience I am used to.

The way you guys force customers to sign up for the rewards program just to make a return is ridiculous. I bought something on a Friday night (this past summer), found it cheaper somewhere else, kept the item in my car with the receipt the very next morning I went to return it; item still in tact in the same bag with the receipt and I was told I could not return it because I didn’t have the rewards program. Cut to this Christmas I went in to buy some makeup for my mom and I didn’t sign up for your rewards program and because I didn’t your cashier or manager (whoever she was) got super mad at me and told me with an attitude “THEN YOU WONT BE RETURNING THIS WITHOUT SIGNING UP.” I have now learned that I did not need the rewards program to do my return and that it’s just a tactic to get people to sign up. This is wild.

Best selection of affordable and top shelf cosmetics for everyone. Great salon services as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not just makeup but skincare, haircare, and fragrances too.

This is by far my favorite Ulta to come too! The staff is super nice and always have one person at the door greeting people it can get a little busy but I haven't had a problem with them yet and I've been shopping at this one for a while!!!!!❤️

Great products..however they have quit carrying most of the ones I use...and I NEVER get free gifts anymore. Bout ready to go back to QVC. MUCH better prices, even with the cost of shipping, abd they still carry the brands I actually WANT! (and no pushy sales people. I seriously had 6 girls ask me if I needed anything. Look I appreciate the help, but 6 is a bit much..made me want to get out of there.)
