I made an appointment online the day before for 6pm for an acrylic removal and requested nikki to get dip powder with a tip on one finger. I showed up at 5:40 and they could take me earlier which was nice. No one spoke clear enough English to where they understood anything I said. They said nikki wasn’t there but another guy could do what I asked for. A customer who walked in shortly after me got upset because they weren’t understanding or getting the right color she kept asking for and showing them. The guy who did my nails kept trying to take off my acrylics with an extension tip. I kept telling him it hurt and he did finally drill them down and let my hand soak one at a time in acetone. Now the thing that was the wow shocker for me was that he didn’t even take the time to take off all of my acrylics before he put an extension tip on. They closed at 7 and if they felt that they couldn’t do what I asked for or if they couldn’t do it in a timely manner why not turn me away or call me before my appointment to see if I could reschedule for another day. I usually go to madame beaute but decided to try here because it is very close to where I live. BIG mistake and I will not be returning. It took me months to grow out my real nails except the one finger that broke for him just to rip and ruin it and cut them all off. I’m not lying when I tell you I cried after because of how rushed and unheard they made me feel. I see all of these reviews on here praising how well they do but they must be bought or fake because I did not have a good experience. Please do research before you come here and I never leave reviews online because I’m just not that kind of person but when I tell you this is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon I felt that I needed to share. I spent 70 dollars for this.

I paid $45 for dip powder. The service was fast. A little too fast I would say. The girl that did my nails seemed to be in such a rush, despite me being the only one at the salon. She completely messed up my nail shape as she would randomly file my nails without giving them a specific shape. I came to this salon because it had good reviews, but I wouldn’t go back.

I’ve been getting my nails done at Uptown for a year now. Nikki and her team always do such a great job. I’ve had pedicures, dip powder, acrylic nails, gel. They always turn out really cute!
