I used to come here regularly, but after this experience, never again. I had to cancel an appointment due to illness and was charged $270 for a service I’ve never even had done before. When I reached out, I was ignored. Their excuse? A “new front desk employee” made a mistake—yet they still took my money. Also, they never really knew how to handle my curly hair. I always left with wet, frizzy hair. Overpriced, unfair, and not worth it.

I can’t recommend Angelika enough!!! I’ve never had a hair stylist that I return to, but I have finally found one. She is thorough, thoughtful, and talented! I have a lot of hair and I’m very particular about how it is cut - but Angelika helped me find the perfect cut for my hair goals and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! Thank you Angelika!

I just got my hair done with Dakoda! She and I are trying to get my hair back to blonde from having black hair for the last year, and she was able to get me a lot lighter than we thought for my first session! If you’re in the Austin area, definitely book with Dakoda at Urban Betty!

Molly cut my hair for the first time, a big dramatic chop from my super long hair, and didn’t question me AT ALL! She gave me exactly what I wanted and was extremely warm and inviting. Thanks boo 🫶

I drove 2 hours for a consultation. I do vivid permanent color. I show up, have a consultation, the lady says oh I can get that no problem. She schedules me on a saturday... Traffic is insane on the weekends. I take the day off because the drive to Austin is 2 hours. I get two minutes away and they call and tell me they don't have the color they said that they would and they don't have permanent colors just temporary. I had to drive two hours home. She said that she will go personally by the color and will have it by the time of the the appointment they rescheduled me for. She calls me and tells me she can't get the color even though I can order it off the internet. I am LIVID!!!!! I wasted over 8 hours of my life for nothing!!!! I highly suggest that you just skip this place. I told the front desk lady I wanted a manager to call me and no one did🤬 at this point I feel I am owed a days wage

Love this salon, it's worth the drive to come and get my haircuts with Audrey. Literally perfect every time, and I am very picky about my hair. Everyone there is sweet and attentive.

Amazing salon! The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is kind and attentive. I saw Kellie King and she did an incredible job on my hair. She was able to achieve exactly what I asked for and I’m soo happy with the outcome. I already booked my next appointment and can’t wait to go back.

Just had my second hair appt with Cailyn Hill and she is a true hair sorceress!! She knocks it out of the park with cut and color. I always get compliments. She’s super chill and asks all the right questions to figure out what will work best for your hair, lifestyle, face shape, complexion, etc. Book an appointment with her—stat!

Recently my go-to stylist was unable to come in this month for my haircut (she works at a barbershop, might I add). My haircuts typically take at least an hour due to how thick and long my hair is, and I ask for layers and face framing. I understand that is a difficult task… however, this hairstylist at Urban Betty took 10 minutes max on my haircut, which shocked me since I haven’t had a haircut since May. After she styled it, I didn’t like it but I can understand that sometimes it’s just the styling. As soon as I got home and attempted to restyle it, I noticed my curtain bangs, which I asked for and provided the reference pictures that I typically show to my stylist for the past 3 years, were all one length. the most blunt curtain bangs I have ever seen, so it sat on my head looking completely separated from the rest of my hair. I had to travel to Minnesota right after and I asked the hairstylist there to look at my hair and see if something was missing that I couldn’t see. Well, she decided to let me know my hair was completely uneven on both sides and even showed me… not surprised because again, the haircut took 10 minutes max. She feathered my bangs to actually make it look like curtain bangs from the photos I showed, fixed the lengths to match both sides within 15 minutes. What bothers me is the fact that my barbershop stylist takes an hour to cut and style and puts so much effort while providing a more affordable price, versus this salon. I was under the impression salon hairstylists have seen haircuts like mine a whole lot more than a barber and can deliver a much better haircut (especially considering the pricing…) I’m just so disappointed that I was in and out that door so quickly, like there was no effort at all. And there wasn’t. I got uneven hair and blunt bangs from it.

I had discovered Regan by a random instagram post and so glad I booked a facial with her!! I booked a facial plus dermaplaning with her. I've had many facials in my life and this was by far the best. She placed extra pressure on my skin that needed. Shaved my face so its super smooth and then finished with a neck massage. I felt blissfully relaxed after my appointment. Highly recommend booking with her!

I booked my 10 year old daughter for a haircut with Dakota. She has not liked male stylists due to a bad experience BUT I know Urban Betty only has the best so I gambled it. Dakota was amazing! So personable and talked to my daughter about how to style her hair for what she was wanting. She LOVED her hair and commented and smiled about it all afternoon. Thank you Dakota, she will be back!

I came to Urban Betty for a while pre-COVID, but hadn't had a haircut since the first lockdown. Coming back to Urban Betty after so long away was refreshing! I was able to book in a reasonable time, and Harsha's expertise is well worth the price! I will be an Urban Betty fan for a very long time!

I’ve been going here for awhile now and absolutely love it. Maggie is amazing at highlights/cuts and it’s great to have a breakdown of services included in receipts. I’ve never had that before and I’ve been doing my hair for 20 years. Highly recommend!

Been going to Urban Betty for three years. In the beginning I wanted to grow my hair out (I'm a 37 year old male) and Paige became my hair stylist. I couldn't have been happier with the experience. She gave me lots of tips and her hair cuts were always on point. We discussed what I wanted to look like and she executed it flawlessly. You can tell someone is good when the hair still looks good three months after the cut! Recently I decided to go back to shorter hair, a more classical male cut. She did the short cut, too, and the maintenance since then. Never had such a good looking short hair cut! It's not the cheapest, but if you're looking for a good haircut that'll last, go to Urban Betty and ask for Paige.

If you are in need of lash/brows services, Regan changed my life with my brow lamination/tint/wax. I have never received so many compliments on my eyebrows. Regan not only listened to what I was looking for, by trusting her professional expertise, I was able to achieve the most flawless brows. Obsessed does not even begin to cover it!

I booked an appointment for special occasion hair for my 14yr olds first homecoming. I left to get her food and when I came back she said she was done and her hair was still wet! It was in a half up do and she didn’t even use the diffuser to emphasize her curls. I took it down to fix it in a hurry, which is the photo shown. Terrible waste of $100. I could have accentuated her curl better than that. Very disappointing 😔.

Not the best experience, asked my stylist Lynzie for a layered cut and face framing layers, didn’t really get any of that. I also noticed when I got home when I pulled all my hair to the front it was uneven. I had to fix it myself after paying $90…

THE WORST HAIR SALON IN TEXAS. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give no stars I truly would. I walked in EXACTLY 10 minutes late and they would not take me. Receptionist was incredibly rude, worst customer service.

Absolutely love Amber. I’ve gone to her twice now and both have been great experiences. She specializes in curly hair and even though mine has been leaning towards just wavy lately, she gave me really good feedback and tips on how to keep my hair happy and healthy. When asked, she’s been very honest on what she thinks will be the best cut and look for me (which I really appreciate bc idk what i’m doing.) At the same time am I ready to get bangs? No. But she listened to my concerns and we found a happy middle ground. I normally have a lot of anxiety at hair salons bc I don’t do really anything with my hair and I feel judged by the employees, but Amber did not judge and gave me small tips on how I can maintain my hair with my extremely low maintenance routine. Did she judge me for dying my own hair? Lil bit but instead of chastising me for how damaging it can be she went into detail about the long term effects of it on my hair and how I can correct the damage moving forward. This was also only after I had asked about a concern I had with my curl pattern her criticism was not unprompted. Not everyone can afford to get professional hair coloring regularly (myself included) so her noticing my dye and not saying anything until asked felt very hospitable. Also my hair isn’t super damaged I do think if it was really bad she would say something. Very good customer service, I felt heard and like i was in good hands the entire time. 10/10 will be returning.

I always have a great experience at Urban Betty, especially with Molly Massie! She is the perfect stylist for my wavy/curly hair. I was nervous about finding a new stylist when I moved to Austin, but she is the best. I have recommended Molly to basically everyone I know and they love seeing her too!

I called in at 9:50am last minute and I got in for an amazing cut with Dakota. The front office staff were so gracious to squeeze me in and Dakota didn't rush even though he had an appointment after me. He got done just in time!

I never really had a chance to find a hairstylist that fit my wants and needs when it came to my hair but the day I was referred here to my stylist Caitlin H. I have loved my hair every single time! Caitlin is such a sweet soul and is very attentive and loves doing hair. If you are looking for someone very nice and professional when it comes to your hair journey experience I 100% recommend her! Such a great experience. I was referred by someone else and it is such a good deal, but their normal pricing is very affordable. I got my cut done by Molly and she was GREAT. She listened to what I wanted and then worked her magic, and was so efficient. I brought my kindle and read the whole time and it was so peaceful. Will 100% be going back.

Wonderful! Couldn't be happier with my mini makeover this week. I was able to book a last minute appointments and get cut and color done very fast. Everyone at the salon is welcoming and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Molly Loveland and Liz Fletcher!
