URBAN OPULENCE delivers great service and results! Knowledgeable professionals here give value driven service in an “URBAN” environment sans pretentious frills. I don’t often give five stars, but this place is in its own category. I love the 90’s hip hop music that evokes great memories as I waited for my hair to set. The art-centric atmosphere reflects the style and attitude of the amazing artists who work here.

Very rude, my daughter needed a diaper change and when I asked if could use their restroom I got a smirk face from one of the employees and a reply of “DUDE NO” I asked again and she said “yeah no” very unprofessional. Ext: Of course !!!! Zero accountability for the attitude or the smirk ,no excuses for a lack of professionalism PSA LOOK AT THE REVIEWS 👍

Had an appointment. Owner didn’t show up for it. Her nailtech tried to contact her. No answer. I tried to contact her no response. I understand she has no other hair stylists working in her salon right now. Wonder why? When I had my first appointment,last year I was very happy with the service but now her salon looks like it hasn’t been cleaned forever I texted her no response. And like a child she blocked me. I wish her good luck with her business, because customers don’t need her but she needs customers.

I’ve recently been struggling with my hair with dry ends and my curls not popping. I wanted to try a new place and found Urban Opulence, Crystal did such an amazing job with my hair, recommended me some good products as well as telling me which products weren’t good. 10/10 would recommend, especially to my curly friends :D

Loved my stylist Abby was amazing did the best haircut I've ever had however the owner basically bullied us into doing a color I did not want went in for honey blonde left with neon orange hair not to mention the owner drinking in the back smelling like alcohol

i needed a last minute appointment and was nervous to go somewhere i’ve never been before but once i got there, my anxiety was completely gone. Adrianna is the BEST HAIRSTYLIST i have ever had. she has so much KNOWLEDGE about hair and was able to answer all of my questions. i appreciate her HONESTY when doing my hair in order to ensure healthy hair. there are not enough words to describe how great she is! she made me feel COMFORTABLE and talked to me like a close friend. this salon is great and has a welcoming and nonjudgmental atmosphere. here is my hair before and after

I honestly was so scared to walk in especially since I really don’t let others cut my hair. Crystal Myers on the other hand did such a beautiful job. Im so glad I came and trusted it. You guys need to trust and go for it. I never felt so beautiful thank you!

I went to get my hair colored and the girl who did my hair was SO unprofessional. She was rude. Cussing, and I felt so uncomfortable around her. She burned my scalp and washed my hair with super cold water for no reason. I wanted to cry being there Edit: I really did not know what to say. It’s ugly and I literally have burns on my scalp. It’s the worst hair I’ve ever gotten. LAST EDIT: the stylist was RUDE as hell. My hair is UGLY. Extremely SHORT. My scalp has BURNS. Color is SO uneven. I need to get it fixed.

I have been seeing Alicia for my eyebrows and lashes since I was a freshmen, I’m a senior now and I can say that I’ve never been disappointed with anything she’s done! I recently got my first facial and it was one of the most relaxing experiences ever! 10/10 I love her! 🩷🩷🩷

Stylist cut off a year’s worth of hair growth and thinned out my hair without my request to do so. The length difference between layers is so drastic, it makes it look choppy and very hard to style. The environment is kind to customers, but extremely unprofessional. My stylist was talking badly about another stylist’s work saying the customer should not have payed for an unfinished job, yet didn’t say anything to the customer or fellow stylist. She would run over to the other stylist’s station in the middle of my service to gossip. The other stylist even asked me to get my stylist’s attention in the middle of my cut just to find them whispering and giggling again. Extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Response: My original appointment was on June 6th with Cailyn. I asked for my shortest layer to be at my collarbone and it ended up at the very nape of my neck and my hair thinned out? I had also expressed to her the importance of my length. Left with what looked like a rat tail. Crystal was kind enough to reschedule me a few days later and helped me learn to somewhat style what I could. That is when I realized Crystal's work was the one my original stylist was gossiping about. Having no record of my service might just be another sign of unprofessionalism!

Very impressed with this salon. Sat there waiting for my daughter and client after client left with a smile. These ladies do beautiful work. It was a very welcoming place. I am very pleased with my daughter's hair. Highly recommend.

i have naturally curly hair. i’m talking 4c curly. okay i decided to come here just for a trim. i straightened my hair prior to this experience. she cut my hair to the length i wanted. but didn’t even it out.. it was uneven. one side was longer than the other side. It was lopsided needless to say. so when i washed my hair the next day, i literally had a rat tail in the back. absolutely broke my heart. i should have said something to her in the salon but i was filled with anxiety and just dealt with the consequences. i also think the 20 dollar deposit fee is ridiculous.

I recently went in because I had done my hair with a friend and I wasn’t happy with the results. This is my second time coming to urban opulence and i am once again more than happy with the results. I love the way the colors blend & overall it’s way better than what I asked for. I included the photo of what i was going for (keep in mind I asked for a darker shade of green than in the photo) and I was not let down. Ruby always does an amazing job with color. Would definitely recommend coming here for any and all of your hair needs 😊 Will definitely be coming back soon!

I specified for an experience stylist for short haircut, then (Call droped)... I called again, they answered and hung up.. and I tried again thinking maybe it's me... nope. Call forwarded. Unfortunate, but thankful that I saved myself from a pottentionally horrible experience.

Moved here a few months back, naturally I was leery about finding a new hairdresser I could trust. After Google searching “top rated salons in El Paso” (wink wink, nudge nudge) and reading through reviews, especially having curly Sicilian hair - I chose Urban Opulence, and couldn’t be more satisfied. Such a cool independent salon.. Not only does the owner have excellent taste in music & decor haha, but the staff’s easygoing & experienced.. Shout-out to *Alicia* with my brow tinting, very skilled. *Highly* recommend brow tinting, and so affordable.. Discovered I have more hair than I thought, my brows had just lightened with age! Super happy about that.. And shout-out to *Maritza*!! She’s my go-to hairdresser now.. After my first appointment, especially after my first haircut - I feel so relaxed with her, I know I can trust what she does - I feel like she understands my hair, and what I’m going for when I describe what I want (VERY important).. So if you’re reading this and wondering where to go, you should *truly* go here.. Urban Opulence just rocks. Point blank.

The salon is kept very clean and it’s a very fun, relaxed atmosphere. Miss Bonnie is the stylist I see and she does amazing work on my hair. Always has great ideas for me and comes up with the best color ideas! Overall this salon is amazing! I always leaves feeling refreshed and happy! 😊

VERY unprofessional! I had to pay a 40 dollar deposit to make an appointment which was no problem. I paid and made my appointment a few weeks in advance, took off my personal leave time of work to get my hair done ON MY BiRTHDAY/FOR MY BIRTHDAY and when I get there, I am told the lady they booked me with is not there due to a funeral and that she "didnt know" she had a client today. If you are making your customers pay a deposit to reserve an appointment date and time, you should be professional enough to ensure someone is there to service them on the reserved date and time.i get things happen, but professionals check schedules daily to ensure their customers get the service they deserve! NO EXCUSES! Very disappointed as I was looking forward to this day for weeks! Waste of my time!

WARNING—BEWARE! To Anyone that wants to Go to this Hair Salon!!!! 🤬🤬😡🥵😫!! I went in as a Blond with brown roots that Bonnie had originally done for me weeks ago! I didn’t like the way she did the brown roots which cost me $182.00!!! I went back to Bonnie to change the brown roots back to blond like the rest of my hair. She insisted that I would need highlights for that process! I would cost me $182.00. Again!! I agreed if that would take care of my brown roots. I sat in the chair for “5” HOURS!!! I left as a BRUNETTE not a blond!!!!! I called the manager the following day. She doesn’t call back. I called again and she was VERY RUDE! I was trying to explain what happened and how could anyone become a brunette when she was to lighten my hair to mix with the rest of my blond hair! She would talk over me “YELLING “ that she was NOT going to refund my money (I had never mentioned a refund)!!! I just wanted to get my hair fixed!! She said her salon was not for me and to find another Hair Salon to fix my hair!!!! PEOPLE, DO NOT waste your money, time, and have them RUIN your hair!!!! I’m very upset!

crystal was so sweet and everyone was so nice! the vibe is so chill here and i felt relaxed. i was even able to get an appointment the same day :) crystal did a wonderful job on my hair and im so so happy with it. definitely coming back
