The stylists at Urban Style are experts in their field and really listen and apply what you tell them to how they cut, color and style your hair. They also have better natural hair dyes than Aveda in my opinion. Finally the salon is city chique, easy to find and they are very warm and patient with children. My daughter got a cut and partial highlights and I had a haircut and deep conditioning treatment the last time we went there.

I LOVED this place!!! It was so comfortable and relaxing. The employees are very friendly. Special shoutout to Hope for doing a great job as always! I can’t wait to come back in a couple weeks for some fun colored highlights, and try out some esthetician services. The owner even addressed me by name when I was at the bowl for a wash to ask if I wanted to prop my feet up. It’s small things like that that show they truly care about their clients! The pricing was extremely fair for the quality of services. It is so hard to find a good salon but I have finally found it. I will be telling all my friends!

Brittani is the best! She's always willing to go along with my haircut ideas. If she doesn't think something will work, she suggests a different (and often) better way. The rest of the staff us great, too. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and a hello.

Great local salon. I get both my sons and daughters hair cuts here and I got a beautiful balayage from Libby. So happy to have this place close to home.

Libby was amazing! My daughter she is 9 and she got a hair cut, some pink highlights and she left the salon so happy with her new look. The whole staff working that day was wonderful and we will definitely be back next time.

Got my lash extensions by Kate 2 weeks ago I love them so much, I’m coming back to get my refill :) I was super comfortable laying down on her salon bed and the front desk greeted me and offered me something to drink

This salon does really good work and they are super sweet! But, I wouldn’t come back, especially as a college student. They are not clear on their prices at all. I was quoted 150, ended up needing “filler color” which made the total 260. I was not told this until I was checking out, not before she put the color on. It just always ends up being so much more than they quote me.

I highly recommend Katie for lash extensions. I’ve been going to her for a few months now and she’s amazing. My lashes look full and natural. I get so many compliments on them and I barely ever have to use makeup anymore. Book your appointment! You won’t regret it.

Libby cut my hair last week and I couldn’t have had a better experience. I was a little nervous going to a new place bc I’d used the same hairdresser for 12 years before but stopped during the pandemic. Anyways, I was able to get on Libby’s schedule for the next week. She was a great communicator and was able to talk me through what I was looking for. I wish she could shampoo me every week, the scalp massage was soooo nice. Felt really confident when she was cutting my hair. Then when it was dry she added a few more layers no problem. My hair looks and feels great! Libby, you’ve got a new client in me!

My stylist retired a few years ago... I have been struggling to find a new stylist so i gave Urban a try... It is absolutely awesome customer service! I got exactly what asked for and for the 1st time in years I am excited and can't wait to get my hair done again

I have been going to an in-home salon for years, but my stylist doesn't have as many available appointments, so I decided to give Urban Salon and Spa a try after Libby did a great job not only cutting my son's hair but being respectful of the fact that, although he's a child, he has opinions about what appearance he'd like to present to the world. I love my haircut - it's exactly what I asked for. The salon itself is very comfortable and friendly and I would highly recommend it after my first experience.

Jocelyn cut my daughter (3) hair she was so so kind and patient! My daughter is mixed and has very thick curly hair and she did an incredible job!! I’m a single mom and had to bring my 5 year old son who is autistic and they were so kind to him as well and there was a couch where he could sit and play on his tablet but I could see him and be with my daughter at the same time! I don’t remember the owners name but she was so sweet! The place is clean and beautiful! I will be back!

Libby did a fantastic job on my hair. I have been trying to get a specific color for a while and she absolutely nailed it. She is very detail oriented and made sure it was entirely perfect. She had a great eye for what will work for you. I will definitely be back as this was the best haircut I have ever gotten. The owner Gabe is wonderful and does a great job of making you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The salon itself is beautiful and relaxing. We are lucky to have them in Batavia!

Urban Style Salon and Spa did an amazing job for our wedding day. We were able to all get ready in the salon, as well as, invite our makeup artist to the salon. Gabriel helped to organize the day so wonderfully and Charcuterie cups and mimosas were a great addition. Brittani, Libby, and Joselyn were a great team. Everyone's hair turned out beautiful and lasted the whole evening. Brittani was especially amazing! My hair was breathtaking and she made sure everyone looked perfect before we left! I couldn't recommend Urban Style Salon and Spa enough!

horrible service i went in to get a perm on friday, my stylist assured me about how the perm was supposed to look, throughout the process she was putting in the solution on my hair, she wasn't paying attention when i told her " hey its dripping" she proceeded to laugh and continue to pour the solution more into my hair. the solution ended up getting into my left eye. she didn't even do my whole head, when i washed out my hair after waiting for 48 hours it was half done. Honestly i'm just blew because i explained what i wanted done. i wont be coming back to this salon again.

Looking for a salon to do a in the st Charles area was overwhelming. While looking on the fb page, Libby happened to post some photos of her work saying she had open appointments and I’m so glad I got ahold of her. I haven’t had my hair colored for about ten years and wanted something that wasn’t too drastic some color and we went with a balayage. Libby took her time and her attention to detail did not go unnoticed during the entire process. I can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does and I cannot be happier with how my hair turned out. Love the vibe of the salon with the earthy feel and exposed brick.

Brittani was awesome! I'm a cancer patient and needed to have my hair cut super short as it had started falling out because of my chemotherapy. She was very attentive to my questions about how to care for my scalp until my hair starts to grow back. My friend Lisa was with me and cut her hair to donate to make a wig for a cancer patient. I would recommend Urban Style without hesitation.

Brittany is an amazing stylist! She is the first person who genuinely listened to what I wanted done with my hair and knocked it out of the park!! I can't stop looking at my new hair. An amazing family owns this salon and they are a pleasure to be with. If you're looking for a new place, this is it.

Horrible. Owners arguing with clients. Making race comments as an excuse as to why hair stylist burned hair. Blame clients for having bad hair to work with and state that they don't care if clients leave reviews "they can take them down anytime" highly do not recommend.

I’ve seen Brittany at least 3 times now and I absolutely love her! She’s so sweet, fun and easy to talk to, and she always gets whatever idea I come up with perfectly. The shop environment is relaxed and clean. Great people!

Lana was my hair stylist and she did an amazing job! She took the pictures and copied it onto my hair. I left feeling amazing and will be returning! The communication was also very helpful and they answered my emails the same day I sent them. Love this place!

Very welcoming, friendly & professional! Having recently moved to town from Chicago Loop, I wasn’t sure how easy it would be to find a trusty, reliable, and overall Awesome experience with a salon, an organic one to boot! But, I believe that I have found it with Urban Salon! Brittani is a Fantastic, excellent stylist, listened well, experienced, clearly skilled & creative in her craft & one of those great folks to strike up a conversation with! Gabriel added warmth & yet, another layer to the professional ambience. Great Experience! Anyone who moves knows that “re-establishing” professional services can be hit or miss. Was really looking forward to my appointment but left quite disappointed. Stylist cut slightly more than 1” off (when I requested closer to 2.5 - it had been a while). Color was great. She then “styled” my curly hair but was constantly touching and combing her fingers through it (big no-no with curly hair). It was so frizzy at the end that I ended up putting it into a ponytail before leaving the salon.
