Holly is the BEST stylist I have ever had! I usually go for a red shade, but I decided to go bold and do purple this time. It looks absolutely amazing. I honestly and just shocked at how beautiful it is. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and let her pick the colors. I turned out amazing!

Before purchasing this Amazon Local Deal, I had only had relaxation massages. As I had recently started a workout regimen and found myself to have some pretty serious delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) on top of a slight back injury (which I seem to get multiple times a year through my job), I opted for a deep tissue massage. I had read massage doesn't really help either of those ailments, but I figured if I at least felt a little better while on the table it would be a nice reprieve. I had messaged back and forth a bit with Cyndie (owner, and one of several masseurs) trying to schedule the actual massage as I work long hours at a demanding job. Despite being booked up quite a bit, she was flexible enough to fit me in when I had a small window of opportunity. I can honestly say that whoever had written the articles or done the studies saying massage doesn't help those ailments didn't have Cyndie as their therapist. Unsurprisingly, all masseuses aren't created equal. I like strong, penetrating, hands for the entirety of my massages. Cyndie warned me at the beginning of her freakishly strong hands, and she wasn't lying. Though I never had to ask her to ease up, I was close once or twice. This was, after all, a deep tissue massage. At the beginning of the massage, she was chatty and easy to talk to. As the hour progressed in both time and level of transendance (more on that later) the talk tapered and I was able to fully fall into the massage. It was really the perfect level of rapport that she had built. It took the typical "strangers hands on your exposed body" discomfort out of the equation. She was open, honest, and generally easy to talk to. Her level of knowledge was obvious. She (somehow) noticed I had tight hamstrings, and given the fact that my core was so obviously strong (okay, I'm interjecting the strong core part, but I'm sure she noticed), she educated me about how tight hamstrings can lead to lower back injury. She gave me several pointers on how to stretch those out in stages that I could manage. During the actual massage I felt her get places that had never been tampered with. It was almost like she was un-sticking my muscles from my bones and tendons. It was pretty awesome. There was a point toward the end, despite this being deep tissue and not relaxation that I reached a level of relaxation I had not attained on any other massage, ever. I was awake, but became unaware of who or where I was. I was brought back to earth as she finished, warning me to take my time and stand up slow when she left. There was a bottle of water and peppermints. I went to the lobby, got her card, told her how it was literally transcendental, and under tipped her. (I couldn't afford what she deserved for such a paradigm changing massage). Obviously, I highly recommend this clean, relaxing atmosphere and this highly knowledgeable (and strong!) masseuse.
