Val is the hair whisperer! He swooped in on my wedding day and I've been devoted to him ever since. I never tell him what I want - he reads my hair and he knows exactly what to do with it. As a curly haired girl, I've tried all the different curly hair salons. None of them hold a candle to Val.

It was $100 for a blowout, which I did not know beforehand as there are no prices listed anywhere. My only other contention besides the price, is that they were not as gentle with my hair as I would have liked (“low” heat was really still medium, and harsh metal styling brushes). However, they did a very efficient and beautiful job with my hair, so overall I am satisfied and grateful, and likely would return.

Moved out of the city and still travel back for my hair appointments at Val Moore Salon…they are that good! Highly recommend this phenomenal salon and their talented stylists who treat you like family. Always get comments on my haircut and color and always point people to Val Moore ❤️

The best blowouts in the universe, hands down! And the cuts, coloring and Brazilian Blowouts can’t be beat. Book a seat with Val and you’ll feel like you’re finally in the hands of someone who gets your hair! You’ll leave looking and feeling great and you’ll probably book your next appointment on the spot. The hair washing before the services is like a spa visit. Ask for Narcissa or Maggie! And Kim and Abby at the desk will make you feel more than welcome. Val More Salon is the best salon in Manhattan. They make everyone feel like family. The attention to detail is unmatched. All of the stylists give wonderful cuts and the blow dry's are perfection! The front desk always accommodates appointment requests :) Val has created an amazing salon and makes his clients feel beautiful!

With a number of good hair salons in the past, for the last year I have found the best. VAL MORE SALON is amazing. First, the people running the salon and their professional staff do beautiful work in hairstyling , hair coloring, and other services. Secondly , Val has been able to create a warm friendly environment that welcomes clients questions, and concerns. It's a very happy place that provides both warmth and privacy simultaneously, and excellent results.

Wonderful salon! I highly recommend VAL MORE SALON! Amazing staff and services. I went here to have my virgin ashy blonde hair turned icy white and it turned out amazing! My hair is icy white exactly as I wanted it without any damage. It feels just as healthy as before and now it looks amazing all thanks to everyone here who worked very hard (9am-3pm) with non-stop care and attention to create exactly what I had envisioned for my hair while maintaining its health. They used very high quality products and worked for a long time to create the perfect do, which no doubt would have cost me a fortune. However, they were so kind as to give me a huge discount. I cannot thank them enough and I will definitely be here often. -Oona

Been seeing Val for 20 years since before he opened vs1 in great neck. Which was the most popular salon in great neck untill he decided he wanted something in Manhattan. This man is the only one I trust with my hair. Period.

I had the most incredible experience at Val More. This year has been so difficult dealing with Cancer issues and the Death of my Boyfriend . I never get to pamper myself and the minute I walked into Val More I never wanted to leave. The staff is amazing ,everyone from Vera who cut my hair to Val the owner and Abby the Manager. Even the receptionist helped walked me out and get an Uber. I was given 2 weeks to live years ago, and it's people like the staff at Val More that make me feel lucky to be alive. I give them 5 stars and the Oscar of the year

Val is a brilliant and talented hair stylist. He is equally skilled in the art of cutting hair as he is in bringing his vision to life in the art of his unparalleled blow dry.! His Salon is aesthetically beautiful with a feeling of tranquility and Zen that only enhances the experience. To say that I am thrilled that he has made the Upper East Side his new home is an understatement!!
