So I decided to come and edit my review so I decided not to get my nails done anymore because I was letting my natural nails grow and today December 27th 2024 I come in to Vans and I had taken all the nails off because I just wanted to cap my natural nails. So I proceeded to show her my review and I had came back in the Tuesday after it happened before I wrote the review. She had the audacity to tell me this is bad for my business you come back and I do them for free well I came back when you said you were going to start being open 7 days a week and you weren't open. I live in Mesa and you think I'm going to keep making trips back to Phoenix just to save your business it ain't saved my money. I kept them on all this time to protect my natural nails. She gone tell me to remove my review. Not gone happen because if I let her do them for free I'm a get free service and then we really gone have a problem. NEVER AGAIN AND IF YOU THINKING ABOUT GOING DON'T After checking my transactions the last time I was at Vans was in 2021 and I vowed I would never go back because the technician told me that I didn't need a design if I'm paying for it I should be able to get whatever I ask for, however I decided to give her another try. I had a party to attend and I went and got a full set I picked the color but I wasn't happy with it so I went back for a fill, that was on October 26th. Now today November 5th this is what my nails look like, I spent $66 and it's 10 days later and this is what my nails look like

I hate to even leave this type of review here because I’ve literally been going to vans for YEARS. It’s always been pleasant but today I was charged 60 dollars for 10 dollar nail quality! My fingers are bleeding and irritated and so am I due to the draining experience…I believe in karma so hopefully 60 was worth losing a long time relationship ✌🏾

Took my daughter here to get our feet done. Very disappointed. We both literally left with uncleared feet. She has nail polish on her skin too. I get it she’s five but come on. No reason to let her leave with it looking like she did it herself. Mine were soaked in water and with the less than the bare minimum done. Once I realized that and saw my nails were not every going to be cleaner or cut, I just asked for a clear coat and left. I’m not a review type of person but this just irritated me too much! Definitely avoid this place. It’s only convenient because it’s never busy.

Love this place!! Been going here for 4 years. Van is amazing. She and her staff will make you feel comfortable and feeling good when you leave!

As it was my turn to get my nails done she was still working on another client then told me to cut my own nails and to remove my nail polish. Later on asking her for a simple gray color with a almond shape. And I didn't get long nails just something simple but not short. She was a bit harsh on my cuticles. I trusted her on what she was doing but they turned out awful, it wasn't even the right shape and it was lumpy and it costed up to 60$ dollars just for that. Even when she made me cut and remove my nails and polish and tbh she wasn't even patient she could have at least gotten the shape right and gave me oval. After we left I cried because the fact that it was a bit over priced for me, just for something to be unprofessionally to my nails and the fact that they were gonna be my graduating nails. I do not recommend at all LITERALLY. And she still asked for tip.

Dune cut my mothers finger twice during manicure and did not stop service to follow the blood borne pathogen procedures he should have learned in school. Just let her bleed. She told him she didn’t want to continue service and when I got his license number, Said he didn’t care if we reported him and still wanted us to pay for the service.

I went there on sunday. I haven't gotten my nails done in awhile. Its Wednesday now and my cuticles have been killing me since sunday but today was the worse. I thought the pain would go away but just look at the pictures. I have been here several times to get my nails done never has that happened to me before. Be careful ladies.

I went to this nail shop and she used wax on my granddaughter and burned her skin .there is a huge burn and she got mad because I told her she was overcharging me and she kept throwing my hand everything she finished something and really messed my nails up.She overcharged me by 80 dollars. And got upset because I didn't give her a tip.Thats why I quit going there years ago

I've had great experiences each time I've come here. Cindy and Van are incredibly skilled and attentive, and the atmosphere is always relaxing and never too busy. I couldn't be happier with how my fall and halloween nail sets turned out. This is my go-to place now.

Don’t ever go to this place they are the worst me and my lady went to go get out eyebrows cleaned up and they shaved half of my lady’s and mine eyebrow foreals if I was able to leave 0 STARS I would’ve but there isn’t an option for it they are the worst they don’t make you feel comfortable or greet you I’ll be leaving more reviews on how our experience went just so customers can really know how this place is !

If I can give this place a zero stars I would. Firstly the lady/owner who welcomes you who calls everyone “friend” is so rude. My nails where ugly uneven and not even well painted and looked to thick, also when it comes down to pay right away she asks for tip and if you don’t give her a good tip more than 2 bucks she gives you a attitude and she’s rude.She didn’t even deserve a tip for her service. Don’t come here , I will definitely not be recommended this place or coming back .

Mom & I called ahead to see about appointments. They had availability right away for both of us. We both got seated as soon as we arrived. All the employees were very nice. The employees even suggested what kind of polish would look good underneath the glitter polish. We both had the (deluxe..?) pedicures. We were both very happy with the end result of our nails and the service. We will definitely be returning in the future.

My daughter and I decided to try this place since it's close to our home. My biggest complaint is that they do not use sterilized equipment. I normally go to a place in Tempe where they use new equipment per client. My nail tech used the same tools that he used on the person prior to me. I let it go because I was just trying it out. I had a manicure and pedicure done on myself and a manicure for my daughter. We both have natural nails and I asked for simple manicures/pedicure with clear polish which should have been $20 and $30, according to their pricing chart. I was charged $30 per manicure and $45 for my pedicure. Why, I do not know but it doesn't matter because I'm not going back. I gave them an extra star because the staff were super friendly but they do not do a good job. My nails are pretty short, which is what I like although my tech filed them down pretty crooked and now I have to wait a while for them to grow back for me to fix them. If you look at my middle fingers, they are not straight. Like I said, I won't be going back. I paid $105 for what was supposed to be simple services. UPDATE 10/17/22 The gel nail polish is now chipping off. I had rated the place 2 stars but now I've updated it to one.

Van and her crew are the best. The shop is right in my neighborhood so I stopped by for a fill and ended up making this my go-to salon. Van makes a friend of you you. I never leave without a "love you" or a hug. I highly recommend.

I had visited this place before, and it was so-so. I visited for the last time a few days ago. I was charged $50 for a full set of plain black acrylic nails with gel polish. The day after getting my nails, three of the nails bubbled. There was polish under the top coat that had not dried. The bubbles popped, and polish oozed out. The nails were ruined.

I went in to Vans nails to get “regular” polish on my natural nails (mani-pedi). I was charged $48. I don’t have any calluses but I did want any dead skin rubbed off, so that was $7 more plus a $5 tip because I felt that the finished nails were cute. The very next day, however, I noticed cracking in the paint. The following day they began to chip at the cracks. So I returned to have them repaired and they said we told you to get gel it lasts longer than regular polish. I explained that it only lasted one day. They said that’s why we told you to get gel nails. I’ve never seen regular polish do that in my life. I paint my own nails and it lasts a good while and kindly suggested that they write next to the price that regular polish only lasts a day or two so that a person would just go ahead and get gel. (In fact at this rate I would suggest that they not even have a “regular” polish option..) They said “everybody knows”. So to have my nails repaired it was $20 more with the previous $5 tip credited to the repair.. So I spent $75 total. (this only covered finger nails, not toe nails). I asked how long it would last and she said 2 weeks. Three days later however I started seeing the cracking in the “gel” paint just as I did with the “regular” polish.. I can’t speak for their false nails, since I’ve never had them done at this establishment, but for my experience with my natural nails I would not recommend this place for natural nails. It may have just been the paint color that was used for my nails for some reason.. which was the 419 nail color if I remember correctly.. My nails did turn out cute prior to the cracks and chips, but not sure why i experienced issues with the paint. Unfortunately my camera wasn’t able to zoom into the nails to give a more detailed view of the cracking in the nails.

The place was not much to look at. Outdated and dirty. They have handwritten posters of prices that the’ve scratched out. The massage chairs need to be upgraded. Not a welcoming or relaxing environment. They most definitely rush so if you like to get in and out, this is the place for you! But Ive gotten better pedicures for $50
