I've been going to Emily for yearsssss for a reason. No one has come close to perfecting my french bob like she has. I never left a salon feeling confident until her. I mean this too, I love my hair every single time I leave Vandross. She is a french bob/fringe wizard and overall my favorite stylist. GO. TO. HER. You will NOT be disappointed.

Kara at Vandross is incredible!! I got highlights and extensions and she did such an amazing job. She’s so fun and knowledgeable- she gave me all the information I need to take care of my hair. She checks in with me to make sure I’m always loving my hair. Kara goes above and beyond!

Emily at Vandross is the BEST!! I have been seeing her for about a year now and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. She makes great recommendations based on what I’m looking for, and she is an AMAZING colorist and a PRO with haircuts. In addition, she is so sweet, friendly, and funny - she makes time spent in the chair fly by :)

Emily is AMAZING. There’s not much to say aside from she kills it every time. I initially came in with damaged, dark, uneven, box dyed hair (I could go on and on with the bad adjectives on how awful the state of my hair was at the time). She transformed my hair in a single session, and there is a noticeable difference in the health of my hair. Not to mention she’s also super sweet and personable. I won’t go to anyone else!

Emily is great!! Moving to Chicago I had no idea who to go to and ended up connecting with Emily. She has always been able to match exactly what I’m looking for and is also such a wonderful person to chat with while getting my hair done! Vandross also has such a good vibe no matter what time you’re there.

I just moved to Chicago from Charlotte, NC this year and one of the hardest things to find was someone I trust with my hair! I had been going to only 1 person for 13+ years, so this was a huge adjustment for me. I ended up finding Emily Pom Hair through a Facebook group. She messaged me right away, was able to squeeze me in after I went WAY too long without a cut/color, and has been amazing ever since. She truly listens to exactly what you are looking for, spends time giving her feedback, looking at pictures, and just makes you feel very heard and understood. Plus, she always taps her fellow colorists / stylists so there is that knowledge share to make sure she is going above and beyond for each client that sits in her chair. Plus, she's a genuine human. She takes interest in your life, follows up for special things like your birthday, wished me good luck at the marathon, and so much more. She has become a genuine friend and welcomed me with such warmth as I embarked on my Chicago journey! 100/10 recco this salon and I am biased with Emily, but any of the girls there are phenom!

Run don’t walk to see Kara! She came in clutch when I had a hair emergency a couple of months ago and I am hooked! She recently did my color and cut and I couldn’t be happier with the way it looks and feels. She’s also so sweet and easy to get along with!

I had tape in extensions for over 5 years until Kara taught me about weft extensions! I am very particular about my hair and was apprehensive about a weft at first, but I’ve never been so confident with my hair after Kara installed it. She’s also great about getting my hair to a color that I like without risking any damage to my fine hair. She’s given me a lot of pointers/product recommendations to keep my hair healthy and to maintain color, which to me is almost just as important as how it looks after I see her!

Loved my time with Kara and she did an amazing job turning my faded brunette hair back to blonde. I love the results and will definitely be back. Kara was also wonderful to chat with during the whole process and gave me some recommendations for keeping my hair healthy while dying it.

I am so glad I discovered Vandross and love my stylist Kara. The salon is super cute and has a relaxing but fun vibe. I am pretty lazy when it comes to my hair but my attitude towards beauty has been changed because of my experience here. I’ve found new products and gotten tips to keep my hair looking healthy and stylish! I’ve been back 4-5 times in the last 12 months and am always a satisfied customer. This is an absolutely wonderful Salon. My usual girl Lexi has been my girl for over eight years. When she’s out of town, I’ve use some of the other ladies and they are wonderful as well. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a good cut color or extensions.

Went to Vandross for my first haircut after moving to Chicago and had the best experience. Emily was super friendly and did a great job. Got the chance to meet Sue the owner too - very friendly as well! Will definitely be back.

Going to Vandross to get my hair done is something I look forward to days before my appointment. I pick out an outfit to wear and get excited to see the owner Susan and of course my stylist, Mikayla. Mikayla has been doing my hair for almost seven years and not only is she a talented colorist and style visionary, but she's warm, funny, honest and one of the best listeners I've ever met. She was born for this line of work. Not to mention, she did an excellent job at correcting my color after years of having to use box dye. I can't recommend this salon and Mikayla enough.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Kara! I've been coming to Kara for almost a year now, ever since I moved to Chicago. She's done everything for me from highlights to blowouts to extensions, and so much more. Every single time she absolutely kills it! I've never left feeling disappointed which says a lot because I'm very picky about my hair. Kara recently put in my first ever extensions and I've already received so many compliments! People are shocked when I tell them it's extensions because she installed them so flawlessly. I've sent all my friends to Kara and every single one of them texts me after with amazing things to say about their hair and Kara. Kara is also so kind and her genuine conversation is just an added bonus to her already amazing service!

Ivan is the most talented colorist I have ever had work on my hair. I’ve been going to him for 10 years and even willing to travel from the suburbs to see him. He listens, is passionate about his work, and makes whatever you want happen. On top of this, he is so easy to be around.
